Da Boot To Da Bay

I've been working in Mission Bay for almost 10 years now & have tried just about every food truck at Sparks Social & Park Labs as well as every restaurant down 3rd, 4th, & 16th within a half mile radius of UC. My pregnant ass, I mean the baby, was craving something comforting and hearty. Most of the food trucks have small bites or typical truck food. I can only eat a taco, wrap, salad, or sandwich so many times.I saw Da Boot to Da Bay had oxtails available on Fridays! Service was quick and friendly. They'll explain their menu considering there's no other trucks or near by restaurants serving the same items. Yeah there may be Hard Knocks down the street, but imo, these oxtails were bigger, fatter, and more tender. I'm Filipino so I loved how they included rice with it on top of your choice of another 2 sides. I opted for the slaw and Mac & cheese. Mac & cheese was standard & the slaw reminded me of KFC, but I like that stuff. I also tried the beignets, but I ate that before taking a picture. Nothing compares to Cafe Du Monde back in Nola but this is probably the closest I've tasted to it being in SF. I'll definitely come back to try to crawfish etouffee & their other specials.

I really love red beans and rice, but I think I'd rather get it from Popeyes. Their version is pretty peppery, but I found the rice mushy and the sausage and meat to be a bit gummy. And the cornbread muffin that comes with it was not very appetizing. It looked a little anemic, and honestly, I think if they just use a Trader Joe's boxed mix it would've tasted better.

The catfish is fire. I found them at sparks social. I don't know if they are always there but im gonna have to find out cause I'm gonna be back soon. It was pretty fast considering the time it takes to fry the fish. Sit and get a glass of wine or beer while you wait.

This place is so good! I stumbled across it when I was at Parklab gardens. The worker was super nice and let me sample the crawfish etoufee. It was so good so I had to try the full thing! I can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu.

This place is great! My new favorite truck at the park! The crawfish ettoufe, red beans and rice, oxtails, Mac and cheese, greens, cornbread... all . Everything is so flavorful, perfectly cooked, and service is friendly. Brought our pups with us and we all enjoyed the food!

The new location at Park Lab Gardens in sf -1379 4th street is great! You can taste the love in the food and they deliver excellent customer service ! The beignets are a must try , can't go wrong with their crawfish étouffée or the red beans and rice. Authentic creole cuisine for sure.

Only been here twice and this place is quickly up there w Momo Noodle as my top food truck at Parklabs / Spark Social! Had the crawfish etouffee, red beans and rice w sausage, and corn bread so far - all super tasty! Also had the Boudin sausage the first time - they get this imported so it's not always in stock. If it is in stock, it's worth it and a must-have! Being from Houston originally just a short drive to Louisiana, this is food nostalgia at its finest! Super nice folks too!!

got the crawfish etouffeé. the perfect amount of crawfish and sausage, and everything was seasoned really well. will eat here any time I'm back in spark social.

Fantastic! The sliders are amazing, great balance of sweet and spicy. Also got the crawfish etoufee and the red beans and rice with sausage both hit the spot. Used to visit NOLA quite often and this spot brought me back! Highly recommend. Had it at Parklab Gardens in Mission Bay.
