When you need a quality breakfast or brunch pick-up, Crostini & Java never fails to deliver.My partner and I got the French breakfast sandwich, "The Works" sandwich (everything bagel), a Matcha latte (sub almond milk), and a house coffee. Both of the sandwiches were great. The flavor is there, and they don't skimp (see the pictures)! The owner will tell ya it's the dijon sauce.The Matcha latte was good, and the house coffee was okay. If you're a dark roast lover, you will enjoy their coffee. However, that roast level isn't my personal preference. Overall, it's a very solid place in our neighborhood to grab a quick breakfast or a bite to eat with a hot or cold beverage.PS--Remember to get a punch card if you haven't already started one.

Such a good cafe in Lower Nob, how have I not been back a second time?? There was a line when I got here on a late Saturday morning to meet up with a friend (~10-15 min) but it was worth it when I received my Salmon Cream cheese bagel on wheat and wowza it was tasty - really thick heaping of smoked salmon, cream cheese, greens, tomato, and added in avocado. I gobbled everything up quickly while chatting with my friend in the cozy indoor seating (there's barely any tables but we snagged one in the corner). There's also some small outdoor seating, though generally this place would be pretty cramped if you're here with more than one person. The servers are so friendly and I have to come back to try their lattes and other bagel flavors soon.I don't usually have many effusive reviews for bagel shops since I'm a picky Jersey girl who's been spoiled with bagels since childhood. This is a very good California bagel that doesn't claim to be anything else. I like it.

Crostini & Java is your classic local neighborhood cozy cafe! Came here twice this year and loved the sandwiches and drinks each time. The place is pretty small so seating is limited but enough for a small group of 2-3. Service is fast and the decor of the cafe is very small-shop cute.The first time we ordered the Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich, Roast Beef with Caramelized Onions Sandwich, and Strawberry Smoothie. The second time we ordered the French Breakfast Sandwich, Matcha Latte, and Iced Mocha. All of their sandwiches were really yummy and drinks were decent too. The matcha was not the best quality but strawberry smoothie and iced mocha were better! All the sandwiches were fresh, hot and perfect for a morning bite.

Great spot for breakfast. Had there matcha latte and the english breakfast sandwich which really hit the spot. We were able to order sfood online but drinks you have to order in person.

Friday, 8:45amThis place is hopping. Seems to be a steady mix of locals with tiny dogs & workers from the surrounding medical buildings. I ordered the Avocado Toast, which includes an egg, & added bacon. Be still my heart, the toast was actually toasted! Definitely can eat all their goods by hand as everything packed to go. Anyway, a great breakfast. If I'm going to be picky, the avocado was a day short of ripe, but creamy enough to spread. This is purely subjective, but I'm not a fan of whole wheat bread, the flavor fights the mild avocado taste. I'd prefer a neutral sourdough, but again, no points off there. Bacon was perfectly prepared, well cooked but still chewy. The staff were super friendly, noticed a lot of regulars, some chatting in Spanish with the cashier. Extra points there. I noticed one regular ordering coffee with a frequent customer punch card. If you're walking, know the hills are rather steep. I showed up at 8:45 & noticed 1 or 2 spots routinely opened up on Hyde. Metering starts at 9am. If you arrive via Bush the entire north side is no parking until 9am, so plan on 8:55am arrival & the street is yours. Parked & hungry I was a bit worried, it's a tiny, cute place with a small line. I didn't see any open spaces so I ordered to go. Turns out that wasn't necessary. Absolutely no laptop campers, Everyone ate their food & left. A table opened up before my meal arrived. Didn't take long for my order either.Definitely a pleasant experience all around. I'll be back for sure.Support Local!

Service was amazing! The lady that took our order was so nice and provided great service. The food was amazing. I got the bagel sandwich on everything bagel and it did not disappoint. I will definitely be back! Ambiance is cute as well

Crostini and Java has some delicious pastries but quite awful matcha. When I came I decided to get a slice of the chocolate chip banana bread loaf as well as an oat milk iced matcha latte. The choco chip banana bread slice was moist, buttery and delicious and the chocolate was just the right amount of melted. That being said, the matcha latte on the other hand was watery and flavorless - tasting like a cup of cold oat milk with a piece of grass wafted over it. It also had a bitter aftertaste. If you are looking to check out Crostini & Java definitely steer clear of the matcha and you should be good!

We ordered an iced mocha, green berets smoothie, banana chocolate walnut bread, ultimate breakfast sandwich with ham, and croissant sandwich with egg, bacon, and cheese (minus the sauce). Everything was made to order, the taste of mocha strong in the coffee beverage, great banana flavor in the smoothie, the sandwiches with ample ingredients and delish, and the banana walnut bread full of chocolatey goodness in every bite. This sweet and crumbly slice of bread was served right away, from the display case. And the wait for the rest of our order was 20 minutes, which isn't bad for New Year's Day, at least they were open during the holiday. Seating wasn't hard to find, both indoors and outside, even with the place being tiny. And staff was professional and friendly, and apologetic about the wait time.

came here on sunday at 10:30 and ordered a pumpkin spice latte, double espresso, california crunch sandwich, and french breakfast sandwich. second time coming to this cute shop and it always seems crowded but line and service goes fast. Filling and for a great price! The sandwich flavors are so unique and delicious with super fresh ingredients. I want to keep coming back here to try all the sandwiches on the menu. Small coffee shop vibe with limited seating inside and more tables outside. It was pretty crowded but we were able to find a table for 2 after ordering and received our food abt 10-15 min after ordering. 5 stars that is well earned

This place hit all the boxes. Food phenomenal, reasonably priced, coffee quality and selection awesome. Clean bathroom. Cute space-conscious seating. Kind and helpful staff. Great location and hours. Ugh would return.
