I first heard of this place bc emily marino posted about the rebel within, their iconic savory middle with a runny egg baked inside. it was great! also came with some bacon salt which really put it over the top! their other pastries and food- especially their ham and cheese croissant was also delicious. it's a small space- can definitely get work done but a little cramped. still great vibes though. would def opt for a hangout rather than a study space. ill definitely be back!

I tried the iced Dulce De Leche latte here and holy moly -- it was SO good. Definitely sweeter than what I'm used to, but it tasted creamy and decadent in the best way! Pleasantly surprised with this one :)There was a short line but staff was quick and friendly. They've got a few longer communal tables inside and it's a nice space overall. Would definitely come back to try some pastries and other coffee options!

$10 for a single muffin feels pretty steep, but I guess that's SF. I still can't stop thinking about the damn muffin weeks later. It was so good to me, that I actually went back and got a second one within two hours. For someone who doesn't really have a sweet tooth and prefer more savory items, this definitely knocked it out of the park for me. I loved the little bits of sausage and scallions and cheese in the fluffy batter of the muffin. Also, the runny egg on the inside with the spice infused salt? So delicious. In addition, when you order the muffin, it comes with a side of carrot ferments, and this was the perfect little bite of acidity to cut into the richness of the muffin. I probably will try to get a muffin every single time I'm in San Francisco now. I also did try their other pastries, and they are also really delicious, but the standout for me was definitely the rebel within. If you try to get seating on a weekend, it might be tough as it is pretty crowded. The space is also really small and might be a bit cramped at times.

Come early for the best selection of amazing pastries! I came in around 9am mid-week. There were no lines, plenty of seating and a full counter of pastries. I dare you to walk in without ordering one - they had a great selection of both sweet and savory!I ordered the Dulce de leche latte and shakshuka croissant. The croissant was perfectly flaky w a runny egg in the middle - loved it heated up! Staff are friendly and happy to give recommendations and there is a large menu of food aside from the pastries on display. Interior is super cute w dried flowers and a minimalist design. Def recommend!

One of my absolute favorite finds when I was in SF. First of all, it was so hard to choose what to get because everything looked so good. They have a kitchen side to their menu as well as a patisserie and you know I had to get a little bit of everything. The scotch egg, however, was the recommendation my sister made to me, and as someone who doesn't really care much for scotch eggs I was skeptical, but I'm so glad I trusted her.It was delicious. The crumb on the breakfast muffin had such a nice texture to it with beautiful savory richness coming from the bits of bacon and scallion, and that perfectly cooked jammy egg in the middle giving you that creaminess, but not being overly heavy somehow (which was my main concern) - WOW. I could eat two of these at once. The croissant pudding was also excellent, and not something you find everywhere- kind of like a better french toast. and their coffee was solid as well. Would def come back and recommend.

Cozy bakery with indoor and outdoor seating. I loved the colors and decorations inside. We came on a Thursday afternoon and it was packed. Our order:*Pastries*Sparkling Lychee Stone: $14.00+White chocolate lychee mousse, sparkling wine grape confiture, and jasmine tea sponge were a fragrant and refreshing combo.+Green and white colors, gold splatter, and white chocolate flower decorations made for an aesthetically pleasing dessert.-Jasmine sablé was hard and didn't taste like jasmine. Cocoa Carrot Muffin: $5.85+Rich, chocolatey, and moist without being too sweet+Balanced: Cocoa, carrot, ginger, and cinnamon worked well together.+Cocoa crumble added a crunchy element on top.-My brother said it's the densest muffin he's had, and I agreed. It took some force w/a fork to break off pieces.Egan's Addiction: $16.00+Resembling stacked boba balls, it was fun to look at.+Taiwanese high altitude oolong white chocolate mousse, brown sugar genoise, and tea infused glaze reminded us of brown sugar milk tea, but in cake form.-Strawberry panna cotta and matcha panna cotta were lost in the other flavors.-Brown sugar sablé was hard. PB S'mores Bar: $14.00+Nutty, slightly savory, not too sweet: SIL said it reminded her of Reese's Pieces.-Torched marshmallow meringue and graham cracker chiffon were overpowered by the dark chocolate fudge and peanut butter cremeux*Drinks*Lime Wire: $6.75+One of my favorite coffee drinks that I've tried! The house sparkling limeade and double shot espresso made for a refreshing drink that had the perfect balance of bitter and sweet. +No upcharge for no ice Matcha Latte w/Housemade Honey Lavender Syrup: $7.00+Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue+Not my drink, but I took a sip: I thought the matcha and lavender were balanced but my mom wished the lavender was stronger.+Cute latte artMatcha Latte: $6.25+Cute latte art+Not my drink, but SIL enjoyed it.Latte: $5.50+Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue+Not my drink, but I took a sip: Espresso was strong, which my dad enjoyed.+Cute latte artSide notes:1.) Self-serve napkins and water2.) Limited street parking*Verdict: I don't think I'd order these desserts again. If I was in the area, I'd return for the Lime Wire and try the Rebel Within.

I've door dashed from here numerous times and was pretty impressed by their pastries especially. I was able to visit this place recently, and was dissatisfied with their customer service. I ordered a granola yogurt, cookie, stone (beautiful cake), a coffee and salad. We were left waiting for a few minutes while the cashier figured out their system and wasn't exactly friendly. Another person ended up taking over to take our order who was nicer, but he ended up forgetting our cookie and stone cake from our order. I had to knock one star off for the poor service, but the food here is pretty solid.

This is a patisserie located in the Mission District that I had passed by quite a few times, but only really checked out not too long ago. The interior is modern and clean, while there are a few tables for seating near the entrance of the store. They sell a variety of pastries as well as coffee, although their desserts are the most eye-catching items. I decided to get Egan's Addiction, which is made with Taiwanese oolong white chocolate mousse, strawberry panna cotta, matcha panna cotta, and brown sugar genoise. This was one of the desserts that caught my eye as the design was very unique although they have plenty of other items that have an interesting aesthetic too. The flavor of this was great, as the panna cotta and mousse went well together and melted in my mouth. Although it's pricey, I think it's worth it if you want to try a uniquely crafted dessert. Overall, if you are willing to spend more on interesting food items then this is a good place to come to.

Craftsman and Wolves is not only sold at their own locations but also widely at coffee shops and specialty stores across the Bay. I've gotten multiple pastries from them from the Ferry Building, Reveille Coffee shops, and Postcript.I recently tried their cocoa carrot muffin and I HAD to review it.Cocoa carrot muffin (5/5) - Are you kidding me. This is everything I could dream of in a muffin. The top is so perfectly crumbly, like large, dense streusel pieces from your favorite streusel dessert. The flavor is deep and cacao-y. The muffin base is SO moist, with this super unique flavor that definitely has hints of carrot cake but also something else (almost minty?). The dash of salt in this helps to intensify all the flavors. I love this. I know they're famous for their Rebel Within and gorgeous fine desserts, so I'll have to come in person to try them out. Love that I can get this almost anywhere without having to go all the way to the Mission!
