Cracked & Battered - Marina

What a cute little spot in Marina. We were staying nearby at the Cow Hollow Inn and were looking for a breakfast spot. We were within walking distance and decided to check it out. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place. We got lucky and were seated right away. It is a busy spot so there could be a wait. Service was fantastic and they delivered our coffees quickly with creamer and sugar. We split the fried chicken Benedict and it was the perfect portion for two people. The fried chicken was juicy and tasty, but what stole the show for me were the homestyle potatoes. Between the flavor and the texture there was just something about them that I loved. If ever in the area again, we'd definitely go back!

Great ambience. Prompt service. The food looks good and great texture. But the seasoning was lacking. Probably great if you have high blood pressure, but I like my food to have a bit more kick.The waffles were light and fluffy. I would recommend those.

Met up with four girlfriends for a holiday Monday lunch, and the place was packed. We waited about 15 minutes before finally squeezing all five of us into a table meant for four... outside. Big mistake. That sun was a menace. If you ever wanted to experience what it feels like to be a rotisserie chicken, this was the moment. I was shifting around like a lizard on a hot rock trying to find some shade.Our server, Omar, was awesome, except for the minor whoopsie of forgetting an entrée. But once we pointed it out, he fixed it right away, so no harm, no hangry.Now, onto the food. I got the chicken and waffles, and let me tell you, I almost pulled a diva move and asked if they could swap the waffles for pancakes, but I'm so glad I didn't. That waffle? Exceptional. The chicken? Perfectly crispy, though definitely smaller than the Yelp photos would lead you to believe. And if you love butter? Oh, honey, this is your Mecca of Melted Dairy. They do not skimp.Overall? A solid spot for a girls' lunch, just fight for an indoor table unless you want a tan you didn't ask for.

Came here on a Saturday morning with friends and it was easy to grab a table, though it was a little cold in the outdoor dining in January.Good: - The shakshuka was so good! The pita was warm and added a lot to the dish - lots of good variety with the hummus too- The QR codes made it very easy to order food to our table - The C & B plate was also very good, I liked the waffles the most here since they were small but super sweet and the fried chicken was also juicy Bad: - Portion sizes are pretty small for the price- Outdoor seating was pretty cold - Wait time for the food was around 15-20 minutes, which felt longOverall would come again after a run!

Absolutely delicious breakfast 10/10. Very fresh ingredients. Everything was exceptionally well prepared and seasoned. Nice outdoor seating too if its nice out and not too cold. Service was also very fast and friendly even though they were busy during weekend breakfast. Highly recommend this place for delicious well prepared breakfast. The coffee is also very good!

Decided to do a little breakfast-date with myself on New Year's Eve. It was quiet inside at 9am with only a few folks inside. The interior has high ceilings, is on the smaller side, and there's a nice outdoor area too. The color scheme is a bit cold with the blues and greys. The design of the experience is interesting: QR code menu where you pay right then and there on your phone. The young man who sat me was gentle and kind. If you've read any of my other reviews: I've been searching for the best chicken and waffles so I couldn't avoid the mini waffle combo with the eggs and potatoes. The presentation was excellent, as well. The fried chicken was cooked well, and was all breast, which can be a toss up sometimes! Happy for that! The waffles were delicious as well. A killer combo! The plate was $20 and their special latte (not that special lol) was $5.50. For a total of $27.50- I enjoyed it quite a lot :)5 stars for the menu option, cleanliness, music choice, meal preparation, and taste. The latte could be spiced up with a little something-something but I won't hold it against the score lol. Enjoy!

The waffles were the fluffiest, the fried chicken was perfect and the staff were super friendly. Can't wait to return!

You need the Memphis fried chicken breakfast burrito in your life! The fried chicken and tater tots sound overwhelming but they strike a really nice balance with the fluffy eggs. I couldn't recommend the burrito more. The sandwich was good and I think they just have really good fried chicken in general. However, totally biased toward the burrito!I got take out both times.

This is my partner's favorite place for fried chicken. You can pick anything from the menu with fried chicken and you are guaranteed the best flavors. The chicken is crispy from the outside and soft on the inside.I personally like their shakshuka with a perfect tomato gravy along with eggs cooked to perfection. Their hummus was to die for and pita was soft.The service was super quick with an order through the QR code (so no waiting for the server to come). They have enough seating indoors and outdoors.

Great service, food and seating options. We chose to eat outside because we brought our pup and it was great. We ordered right away using the QR menu and paid seamlessly online. The servers were all friendly and pleasant.Food:Chicken & Waffles: chicken was not too salty. It was seasoned well. The waffles had that soft side but crispy edges (just the way I like it). Tater tots: I would have been satisfied eating this by itself. So bad but so good!! I'll definitely be having the tots every time I'm here!I've been to the Potrero Hill location which is just as good! I'll be back for sure!
