It takes some serious willpower to walk by this cart full of roasted chickens and ribs without stopping for a bite. There are apparently several of these parked around downtown, but my go-to spot is the cart parked right next to the Amazon Go store on California. It's a bit of a walk from my office, but the radiating heat from the cart and aroma of sweet chicken juice makes the trip all the more worth it. I usually get the half chicken with 1/2 brussel sprouts and 1/2 potatoes, because how can you turn down potatoes roasted in chicken fat? This alone is enough to be split into two servings (and/or feed a small family for sure). Such a cool concept and the portions are totally worth it for the price. If are times when you find yourself hungry at lunch hour in FiDi and a $15 tossed-to-order salad just won't cut it, definitely keep this in mind.

Chickens rotating on top of more chickens? In terms of visual impact, nothing compares to the dripping of protein essence for that added flavor. Where do the excess juice and fat go? To the brussel sprouts and potatoes at the bottom for that full chicken immersion!Crispy skin and tender flesh, the chicken was cooked to perfection with a light touch of seasoning. For those wanting a little kick, there's always that bottle of hot sauce by the utensils. Will be back for sure (for that medieval style whole chicken experience)!

The first time I ordered a whole bird from this truck, I murdered that bird to the bone. The chicken was so plump, tender and flavorful I felt like it was my personal Thanksgiving. At first, I thought this truck was going to taste similar to Roli Roti (as seen in your typical Bay Area Farmer's Markets)......WRONG!!!! Roli's chickens are mediocre compared to Country Grill. C.G. even serves up pork ribs that are soooo delicious. However, I was disappointed to get a slather off ribs that we're not "well done". The ribs were thoroughly cooked, but I always prefer crispy ribs (from the outside).C.G. gets big points for serving Hoisin sauce (like a sweet Chinese BBQ flavor made with soy bean paste). The sauce adds another dimension to their already tasty protein!!!

Country Grill is goooooood. If the smell doesn't lure you in, the giant chicken on top of their truck will surely catch your eye.We got...- Rotisserie chicken - Short ribs - Potatoes - Brussel sproutsAll were amazing. My mom, who is one of the pickiest eaters you will ever meet, along with my dad, one of the best BBQers and rib-cookers on the planet, both raved and raved. They were very skeptical beforehand, but the food was so great they forgot to be pleasantly surprised. Super cool seeing them enjoy 'merican street food so much.

SUMMARY: The high prices bring down an otherwise weak 4 in my book to a low 3. Rotisserie chicken and rib truck that serves some sides like potatoes and brussel sprouts that are above average. Great design on the truck though!FOODFinally decided to give this place a try as it parks on Beale right in front of my work. Hey the truck is pretty cool from the outside and then the smell ain't bad! But was is bad was the price. $16 for a 1/4 chicken and brussel sprouts? Daaayumn. I mean I get it, it's food truck fare and prices. But c'mon, really? As for the taste, it was rotisserie chicken. Nothing really set it apart from say the local grocery store's rotiserrie chicken. And the brussel sprouts were nothing special either. I just think the value to taste isn't there. SERVICEReasonably quick and professional.

Soooo good! The idea was to eat something fast, not greasy, as much healthy as possible, not sitting in a restaurant for a couple of hours, since we wanted to enjoy the beautiful day on the beach...it seemed like just impossible, right? Usually street food can be pretty caloric...then we were taking a look at all those food trucks and we saw this cute bottom of a giant chicken on top of one of the truck, we read the extra short menu and decided to give it a try. We had roasted potatoes, chicken and pork ribs, all super tender, juicy and delicious. The whole meal was tasty but not greasy..for my palate a bit salty, but very, very good. We enjoyed it looking at the ocean, with a nice breeze in the air and...a lots of hungry birds surrounding us, waiting for a bite:)))) so cute :)))))

ROTISSERIE TRUCK ACROSS FROM MY WORKFor lunch if I don't bring lunch to work I need to buy a quick bite to eat as I only have an hour before I go back to work. Though there are a lot of places to eat in the Financial District some of the good eateries can be several blocks away from my work that can cut my lunch time by walking there and standing in line to order. My work is across the street where this food truck parks at the curb on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to serve rotisserie chicken. When I pass by this truck on those days I can smell the buttery chicken and see it spinning on the rotisserie rack. The taste of the chicken is delicious as it's juicy and flavorful. Having the chicken with a side order of roasted potatoes or Brussels sprouts can make this a hearty yet healthy meal. I've also had the ribs and they're succulent. However I come back for the rotisserie chicken. Is it pricy? Yes as a half chicken at this food truck costs more than a whole chicken at Lucky's, Safeway, Costco, and Food Maxx. But can you find those grocery stores in the heart of the Financial District in San Francisco? No. Though the smell of rotisserie chicken is addicting I don't buy the chicken every time I pass by this truck because this would cut my weekly budget. For convenience purpose if I'm craving chicken for lunch all I need to do is take a quick walk across the street from my work to this rotisserie truck.

Country grill is a robbery, food good for the heart and soulwithout clogging your arteries. It's a food truck so first gotta find this place (on their website)I'm sick regurgitating food just to make some space.Buy a whole chicken, and split that with a friendfor some money savin' (~ $3)and now the juices on ten.Introspecting, this rotisseriegot me thinking of my first kiss, my first love, reminiscing of my first taste of chicken as a young gun. It's grilling nonstop, rotor rolling, off the topdripping juice on their 'sides',that innovative juicing method has me running back for more. Now take a bite and experience everythin',the chicken skin under fingernails, your oily napkin.Poultry passing through the entrails, potatoes get us napping.Top that with a side of kaleand you'll get to rappingabout chicken.

Have you ever wanted A WHOLE CHICKEN for lunch? Well now you can get A WHOLE CHICKEN with a side of home fries or kale salad (but let's be real - you've gotta go with the potatoes). Yes you can also order just a half chicken or a quarter chicken, but getting A WHOLE CHICKEN is more cost effective. The chicken is a bit on the dry side though. The potatoes are just ok. The chicken gets plopped on the potatoes so it gets difficult to get to. But seriously - wow you can get A WHOLE ROTISSERIE CHICKEN from a FOOD TRUCK.
