Church Street Groceteria

I love a corner market, especially when they have sandwiches. We were exploring SF and passed by Church Street Groceteria and had to stop in.It's a small market, but they have a good selection of items and including sandwiches, sides, some fresh produce, wine, beer and liquor, plenty of drinks and snacks and candy. We also noticed they have a large selection of German candy like Haribo and Ritter Sport chocolates.The person running the store was friendly and even gave our dog a piece of bacon! So nice! We bought a selection of drinks, candy, and I got the Italian Combo sandwich ($12.99). We enjoyed the snacks while in SF and I ended up eating my sandwich once we arrived home. It had a good amount of meat and toppings and I enjoyed the garlic sauce they use.I would definitely stop by again. We saw that they have breakfast sandwiches as well and they sound great too. Solid spot!!

Finally stopped by Church Street Grocerteria for a sandwich since it's close to my place and I am a sandwich addict. For reference, places that I like and get sandwiches from regularly are Limoncello, Salty's, Deliboard, Rhea's, Turner's Kitchen, Wrap & Roll and Ted's.I only have gotten one sandwich here so far but am going to add it into my rotation since the whole experience was great. From the friendly staff to the yummy sandwich and reasonable prices. I got the Roast Turkey Club and it hit the spot. The bread was solid (I've noticed a lot of variation in the dutch crunch rolls around town with some being soggier/softer than I like whereas this one had that signature crunchiness to it). The sandwich held up well on the bread and I will def be going back to try more sandwiches here!

THE QUEST FOR A GOOD DELI SANDWICH IN SF HAS BEGUN. I pass by this store often (great place for chip cravings, last minute groceries, wine for housewarmings, and ice cream pints), and I finally tried the deli counter today. I ordered the falafel sandwich (more of a wrap/in a tortilla) and the veggie sandwich with avocado. Both were delicious! The veggie sandwich used the Dutch Crunch bread, which is already a win. The avocado, jalapeno, pepperocini, and mustard gave all the other veggies a punch, and everything was stacked well - the KEY to a good deli sammie. The falafel was flavorful and moist, and the hummus had a slight kick due to some hot sauce (their spicy sauce). The sandwich maker also remembered all my requests to make the sandwiches vegan! Very happy with the food for a neighborhood spot.

This place has some pretty bomb sandos. Friendly staff and lots of diff options. Can't go wrong plus they have every other snack item you could want so what's not to love

Turkey Salami on the Dutch crunch was delicious. I wonder if they can toast it? It would be elevated toasted. Deviled eggs were bomb. I love a good deviled egg.Good coffee bean selection too, they can grind it for you if you need.Great quick lunch spot when you don't want to deal with the ratchet Safeway nonsense.

This is a corner store on Church Street you know near the bus stop. I had an orange Fanta today. That was my selection. It was a can and not a bottle. It's a corner store in a city with many old-fashioned corner stores that still run and I could revitalize the corner store industry with my own hands, but they still haven't. This goes in my list of "corner stores."

Great store. Sandwiches are amazing. Excellent selection of snacks, wine, beer, and even decent selection of grocery items.

It's convenient and good. The only thing I hate is the price. Thus store is a little on the expensive side but it's right by my job. I just don't understand how my sandwiche was more then the specials on the board.

Walked in to order sandwiches from the deli. Noticed that the man working the deli counter did not have his nose covered so we turned around and left.No Mask - No Purchase

Wow, so glad I found this place a block away from my house! I came here one night to order a sandwich from the deli and ended up back here the day after.Their standard sandwich is $6.99 and their super sandwiches are a couple dollars more. Really fresh ingredients, generous portions, great price! Great choice for quick (and healthy) takeout.
