Dinner is as good as it gets. Well prepared and tasty Cantonese food. Every dish came to the table piping hot. Bigger portions than we've had elsewhere in SF in recent years. Surprisingly a very reasonable price for 8 courses.Service was efficient and polite. Dim sum is served here during the day. This location is part of the Cheung Hing restaurant chain from San Bruno to Milpitas. The one that sells the take out roast meats and dine-in rice plates on Noriega St. is not part of the same business.

Cheung Hing has good dim sum and a nice option if you happen to be in the Richmond area. It's an old school Cantonese restaurant but order via menu.We arrived right before noon on a Saturday morning. It was packed but we were seated after a short wait. It's a very basic restaurant, even the chairs and decorations still have the Mayflower branding (previous business). I observed that a customer at another table spilled some food on the floor when packing their leftovers. The restaurant could offer better service by lending a hand with packing leftovers and/or wiping up the mess on the floor before seating the next party. Overall, we'll be back. It's a fair and reasonably priced dim sum meal with tea, freshly cooked to order food, and efficient service.

Such a disappointment after almost two years of them being open? I thought they might've figured out all their kinks out but I guess not...Made a reservation for 6pm for 8 people. Got seated quickly and had to flag down the waitress a couple times to order ... 1.5 hours later we only got served warm (not piping hot) westlake beef soup.. tofu was a bit sour Peking duck and bun (buns were cold still... like it came out of the fridge) And a fish and bok choy dish.. mind you some of the fish was still RAW. We ended up cancelling the rest of our order and left still hungry... After reading other reviews and having hope that they would fix the food/ service I would not recommend this place for anyone nor would I come back.

Great attentive service at this restaurant. We celebrated our family's Lunar New Year lunch and made reservations for 3 tables and preordered our food a few days before. The lines for lunch/ dim sum aren't ridiculous like other places but the food is also just average. Of all the dishes we ordered, the roasted duck with steamed buns was my favorite.

I heard of Cheung Hing through the T-Mobile dining program where I will get 5% cash back (10% on Tues). I brought my parents here for dim sum lunch. I ordered beef chow fun ($15.95 pictured), durian pastries (large item $6.88), egg yolk lava bun (medium $5.98), shrimp rice rolls (large), and scallop dumplings (large). I recommend all of them except scallop dumplings. It's a large item $6.88 for 3 pieces but mainly has shrimp in it mixed with very little scallops. I highly recommend the durian pastries if you like durian. We loved the strong durian taste but it's very sweet so more of a dessert. The egg yolk lava buns came out steaming hot. I blew on the yolk to make sure it won't burn my tongue. It's also sweet with a slightly salty taste. You definitely cannot find these 4 dim sum items at the cheaper dim sum take out places, which was why I ordered them here. The beef chow fun $16 is pricier than the average Chinese restaurant, but it definitely has wok hei and tasted better than D&A Cafe. I requested it to not be too salty and the chef actually listened. It still has the bean paste taste and I liked how they added some sour veggies to it. We ate half at the restaurant and brought a whole container of leftovers home. It was very crowded when we were there. We got here by 11am so we didn't need to wait for a table. There is an included 15% service charge (tips) on the receipt, so no need to tip more. They also have a paper flyer notifying customers of the charge. Other reviews I read said it's a 18% charge during dinner. There is also a $1.50/person charge for tea or $1/person charge for hot water. The dim sum quality is high and the prices is a bit more reasonable than HK Lounge/Dragon Beaux, so I do recommend this restaurant.

Have been meaning to try this place for quite some time. The restaurant is always packed with mostly the local elder Chinese community residents. I went by myself for dim sum. I ordered 3 itemsThe steamed scallop and chive rice rolls arrived Luke warm, and I would say this probably the best of three items that I triedThe Shanghai Dumplings (Xiao long bao) had a lot of pork filling, lacked the essential soup filling that these dumplings are famous for. The dumpling skin was overly thickThe pan fried Pork Buns arrived hot and were cut with scissors at the table. There was hardly any filling inside, and these were just average.Given the amount of regular diners the restaurant enjoys, perhaps I just got unlucky.

So here's the deal. Restaurant's food is great, if you go with the recommended dish or items from their BBQ page. On a busy night, like Fridays or Saturdays, your server might recommend a few dishes, those are the one dishes where you can't really go wrong with those choices. However, if you order an item from the their very deep and impressive menu, it may take longer to get to you. They tend to batch make food when it is advantageous for the kitchen. However, we ordered a sweet/sour fish dish and it took a long time to get to our table. We were done with the meal when it arrived and it wasn't even cooked thoroughly - like it was rushed, which it was because they didn't want to lose a sale on a dish. Otherwise, most of the other dishes were good and lived up to expectations. There was a small piece of styrofoam packing (looks like it accidentally chipped off what was packing the fresh veggies) in our green leaf veggies, but we didn't get a chance to tell the wait staff as it was a very busy night for them. Ambiance is all older Chinese generation so we know the food is definitely not bad and prices are very reasonable. All in all 4 stars except for the long wait on one dish.Oh and the bleach from the bathroom can be smelled to mid-dining room, we had to change tables because of the smell. All the staff had masks on, so it is highly likely they didn't even smell it as they passed by.

Go to place for a familiar meal. Lamb stew! Lots of bean curd and chunks of lamb. Comes with fermented bean curd sauce. Haven't had this for such a long time. 2 items: chicken and duck. Free dessert: gaulin go (turtle jello, but really herbal jello). They automatically add 18% to the bill, so don't add more tip.

Had a family dinner here as my cousins were going to fly back to HK. I've came here many times and always enjoyed my time here but this time was a little different. The manager? wanted to change one of our dishes to siu-yook with green beans. It was originally eggplant and green beans dish. We just said ok because we can tell she will go on and on about how this new dish will suit us better and we already had another eggplant dish, which we didn't mind. I realize she probably wanted this change as the siu yook was probably from the afternoon lunch time, she wanted to get rid of it so she came up with this dish. Just MY theory and some of me family members felt the same. She was pushing real hard for us to change the dish. My boyfriend also didn't want their dessert so I asked the waitress can you give us one less bowl of it. She was fine with it but the manager? overheard and made a big deal out of it. She wanted us to take the extra bowl even if no one was going to eat it and went on and on about it. There was a couple of other small things she did which I wasn't very fond of. All of the times I've came here I hadn't seen her before so I never had this issue. Overall, some of the food was good but some was to salty. Despite this 'bad' experience, there was many good experiences I had here and would still want to come again... just hope the manager? wasn't there LOL

The food is not bad. The waitresses are friendly and helpful. However the owner or manager during dinner time is rude and is misleading regarding menu items. So avoid contact with her if possible. Also note, if you're dining in, prices are actually 18% higher than what's posted, because menus make no mention of this mandatory fee.
