The dim sum was good. Parking was kinda crowded here. We got a table in the side room which was nice because it was not as loud in the side room. You order off the paper menu, not the push carts here.I would come back again if in the area. It is your classic dim sum spot.

Continues to slide downhill. Wonton soup has bland broth and boring boiled meat that I couldn't tell was pork or beef. Wontons were filled with what seemed like canned dog food. Think I'm done with this place as there as so many better places in RWC and San Mateo.

first time here and it was chaotic! everyone was running around with their head cut off, there was like no real direction as to where to stand for a table and wait for a to go ordertheir food by the time my aunt had ordered it between a 3 hour period was cold by then and was decent! ambiance is a normal sit down busy chinese place on christmas day that had hot dim sum by request and not a cart!

Don't come here during vacation times. They never have enough service. We waited 45 minutes once after ordering to get food. Food's ok. I have an msg suspicion. And since China Village left, we can't get crispy chicken any more. Today our soup came out Luke warm. It's always crowded, too. Especially during holidays. We've been here one hour and 1 dish just arrived.

Had a bad experience here but I've been here several times so we'll start with the good stuff first. Food is usually delicious, tea is wonderful, and there are some cool uncommon menu items. Prices are a bit higher than the old ownership but usually the quality is good too. Regarding my bad experience, I'd probably have to give in 1-2 stars if it were like this every time. I came at a bit of an off hour, 2something on a weekday, and just wanted a snack. Ordered three small items for me and my friend from out of town. Two came out cold and they forgot about the third one for like 20 minutes in a pretty empty restaurant. Terrible use of 30$ right there, so I'll be wary at coming at off hours in the future

Came to this location because I wanted to try a new Chinese restaurant in the area that seem to have pretty good reviews. The ambience was inviting the staff seemed very nice, although putting in my order and waiting for my food seemed a lot longer than it needed to, despite their only being, a few tables filled with customers. Parking was a breeze, and it is conveniently located on the main strip in San Carlos not too far from the freeway. Now, to get to the main purpose of the review, which is the food, I ordered the barbecue pork, fried rice, the chicken chow-mein, the salt and pepper tofu with a side of dumplings. Enough to feed 2 to 3 people and still have some leftovers. Mainly, because those are core dishes off any Chinese food menu. I will always be fair with my critiques. But I would say that overall was a solid: three out of five (3 of 5 stars).I can easily say that it was the definition of average. I understand people work hard to create their food. So, I will not knock that, but it just felt as if the noodles they were using were the type from a Ramen packet. not the traditional chow mein noodles you find in majority of Asian restaurants. The fried rice, although looked amazing. tasted as if there was no salt and pepper added to it. Sometimes simplicity can go a long way. The salt and pepper tofu unfortunately had way too much salt on it. And yes! I get the irony of salt and pepper tofu tasting too salty. But that's what happens when there's overcompensation. I would say the best part of this dish was the dumplings and I would definitely go there again for those.Maybe it was a bad night, maybe it was because the chef was having an off day. I'm not sure. But I'm willing to go back and try again but maybe get way less food and hope for the best.

Average! Definitely wasn't up to the quality that I remembered from China Village.I ordered 4 small Dimsum and 1 Chicken Sweetcorn Soup - it was about $52 and I gave a $10 tip - so roughly $62 cash for this food felt pricey!)The Goods : The Sesame Balls and the Pan Fried Pork BunsThe Average : the sweet corn soup The Bad/ Avoid - the Eggplant Shrimp ( by far my favorite dimsum when I order dimsum) and the Lotus wrapped Sticky RiceWe hit a nostalgia high - because this was a place I went to when I was pregnant with my boy ( once a week through my pregnancy) and my son is 18 and out to college now!Go here for average Dimsum - hit me up with recommendations for better Dimsum !!!

Came here for a late lunch on a weekend, and there was no wait. We tried the black bass and the pea shoots. The flavor of the black bass was good, but it wasn't super tender. The pea shoots were solid - yummy and not too salty. The menu seemed to have a lot of options and seemed to be quite authentic, but the dishes we ordered were pretty standard and nothing outstandingly special.

Delicious food and really fast service! We did the 10 person banquet with 12 people and also ordered extra dim sum. It was super packed and very lively. Parking was super crowded but we managed to find a spot in their lot in the back.
