Jerell M. "Was looking for lunch after a shopping session near San Carlos, and Isarn was an amazing find. This place will rank very high of all the Thai restaurants in the peninsula. The restaurant will hold a fair amount of people and the space was pretty cozy, aided with all kinds of Thai and holiday motifs. Big bonus for having their own parking lot.The menu was very extensive, and I appreciated the availability of the lunch specials. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew captured the right flavors, the dumpling in curry sauce and fried tofu were hits with the children, and the basil beef rice plate was fantastic. The Praram Chicken could have benefited from more flavors. The special papaya salad dish was surprising with all the extra meats, but be forwarded that their spice levels are right at par on what you would expect in the Thai culture. A level 2 spice is far more than a tickle. There were two servers for a weekday lunch, but they were very attentive to all the patrons. This was a great experience and worth another drive back to get more."

My partner ordered the hat yai box with curry sauce, roti, and rice so I got to dip my roti (curry sauce not included with the papaya salad combo). Quick serve environment: order on a tablet and pick up at the counter. Outside seating only. Perfect for takeout or a casual meal."

Christina W. "Huge thank you to the staff for accommodating my large party! A bunch of my coworkers flew in as they were from out of town (and state!) and I appreciated that LaoTable's menu was extensive and could accommodate a vegetarian preference. The menu may seem fusion based on the descriptions, but I found the flavors and spice level pretty spot on for some of the dishes I ordered. My coworkers really enjoyed their drinks, while I really enjoyed my Thai Tea that was served in a carafe. The Thai tea was not too sweet (best compliment ever, tbh) and had a strong Ceylon black tea taste, which I appreciate. I had the "Tum Marg Hoong" Papaya Salad and wow it was spicy! 10/10 would order again, as it was great to share with my immediate neighboring coworkers. We also tried the Khaw Kai noodles, fresh spring rolls, spicy eggplant, and spicy Thai basil chicken. Although I liked all of them, I'm partial to Chinese eggplant, so the spicy eggplant was a favorite and I'd reorder that one again. Our server was very attentive, and although my party over ordered (as expected since our eyes are larger than our stomachs!) the staff tried their best to help clear the plates or rearrange some of them."

I've tried the green curry with beef, yellow curry with chicken, drunken noodles, panang curry, short ribs, spicy eggplant, and spicy catfish. Every single thing is tasty and full of flavor. My favorite items are probably the green curry, short ribs, and catfish. They really do mean it when they say spicy, so don't go for Thai spicy unless you can really handle it! They aren't trying to upscale. They bring you cozy Thai food. Service was fine, nothing spectacular but they're friendly. Chicken satay - one of the best chicken satay I've had in a long time. Chicken was flavorful and moist. Chicken eggplant stir fry - it was good, nice flavor profile. Khao poon - my fave! Love khao poon! Rich flavor and nice blend of curry taste. Lisa Y. "The best Khaosoi I've had! With the name of a restaurant being a dish, it has to be good right?! Well, it definitely lives up to the name! Khaosoi Thai offers four different types of Khaosoi dishes, including one with beef, fried chicken, shrimp tempura, and a veggie version. Each consists of egg noodles, egg, crispy noodles, lime, pickles, chilies, and shallots in a creamy coconut curry broth. The texture of the noodles is really good, and the flavor of the broth has a balance of sweet and savory. The Khaosoi Beef is served with a HUGE beef short rib! They have limited orders of this available per day.I also really enjoyed their Thai Fried Rice. You can order this by itself or with fried chicken. I highly recommend ordering it with the fried chicken though! The batter on the outside is light and crispy. It also comes with a tasty sauce for dipping. The green curry is served with rice and is loaded with lots of vegetables, including regular eggplant, Thai eggplant (which I don't often see!), bamboo shoots, and bell peppers. You also choose your protein: chicken, tofu, beef, or shrimp. For appetizers, we got the Crispy Egg Rolls and Samosas. The egg rolls are thin and contain vegetables and glass noodles with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. The samosas appear empanada-like in shape but are more flakey and have potatoes and other vegetables inside. It's served with a curry sauce for dipping. I love that both of these appetizers are also served with a refreshing yet tart cucumber salad on the side. They're also topped with edible flowers and are quite pretty! I would definitely recommend the Thai Chicken Salad as well! This larb is aromatic and flavorful. There's a chili pepper symbol next to it on the menu, but I didn't think it was too spicy, so don't stray away from this one if you're worried about the heat!Other unique items on the menu that I'll have to come back to try are their Tom Yum Ramen and Green Curry Ramen! Overall, great food, cute interior space, and friendly service!"

Donovan H. "Interestingly enough and much to my surprise, San Francisco is not really known for their Siamese/Thai food. In fact, when I go onto the Yelp app and search for an above average Thai restaurant in the city, very few places actually show up. Reason being is simply because this city is heavily saturated with some amazing Dim Sum, Japanese, Vietnamese, and dozens upon dozens of award-winning Chinese restaurants. However, paying a visit to "Marnee Thai" just might change my perspective of how amazing this place was.Located in the Inner Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco, this restaurant is situated directly on Irving St. and tucked in between 23rd & 24th Ave while only being a couple blocks away from Golden Gate Park. This is actually their original location as they also have a 2nd location (also in the Inner Sunset) that is on 9th Ave and close to Lincoln Way. Parking can be a challenge with the vast amount of businesses and boutiques surrounding this area. My lady and I came during the evening of Friday 11/29/2024 at around 5:25pm.The hours of operation are Wednesday through Monday from 11:30am-8:30pm while being closed on Tuesday. As soon as my lady and I walked in, it was very warm, cozy, and inviting. The interior layout showcases a distinctive A-frame roof design complete with wood paneling throughout. In fact, this place has a very strong Thailand presence to it as the artwork and walls looked as if we were dining out in Bangkok and not San Francisco. And even though we came during dinnertime on a Friday evening, there was no wait as we were seated by the hostess immediately. Since I already knew what I wanted, I settled with their "Pad Kee Mao"; this consisted of roasted duck, wide rice noodles, chili, garlic, tomatoes, and string beans. My lady went with the "Pad Se-Ew" which is one of the more popular Thai dishes; she chose chicken as her protein of choice. Her dish had a blend of pan-fried wide rice noodles, soy beans, broccoli, and scrambled eggs. And as a trademark of every Thai restaurant I visit, I went with their "Thai Iced Tea". Both of our meals arrived in around 8 minutes; very quick turnaround time. And best of all, our dishes were piping hot.I absolutely loved the seasoned, tender, and flavorful bits of my roasted duck as they were very generous with the meat portion. Since I do not like spicy, they were able to make it with a more milder chili flavor. It hit the spot in every way possible. All of the ingredient with the wide noodles had the perfect balance of sweet and salty. I also tried some of her Pad Se-Ew and that too was top notch. Even my Thai iced tea had the perfect amount of tea without being overbearingly sweet. Again, the service and quality of food was excellent while not being too expensive. All in all, I loved "Marnee Thai" as this will be a future staple restaurant for my lady and I. My rating, a unanimous five stars."

Just make sure you're at the correct building number. I saw people walking out with a pizza box and other types of packaged food. I preordered and got my food delivered to my car. The person was nice and said they tried to keep the food warm (I was late for my pickup). I can't not say enough how smart the food was packaged. There were no leaks! I got home and the food was still warm! They flavors were bright but not too strong or spicy. I love spice and spicy so next time I will ask to bump it up. Tea leaf salad:Wow! I really loved the fermented tea leaves. It was more like spinach and not too funky. It was vegetarian so no dried shrimps or fish sauce was used. Veggie Biryani:The tamarind sauce that came with this dish was so good. They were generous with the portion of food and I the veggies were cooked really well. I'm not talking overcooked mush, but texture and crunch heaven. Massaman Roasted Vegetable Curry:Oooooo this was comforting and warm. I would order this again with more sliced chili peppers ;) The coconut rice was exceptional. This is a rich dish that went well with the perfectly cooked vegetables. The fellow diners looked like most of them were on their lunch break (it was noon). The menu is great, if you are a bit adventurous. It was a bit difficult to find something lower carb, so I just went with the pad See Ew haha. Low carb, low schmarb, right? The noodles had a very appealing flavor and the meat was quite juicy.
