"This is my Thai spot in San Mateo. I've eaten at the restaurant and ordered here via door dash here several times. The food here is really good and affordable. The restaurant is a bit small, so reservations are encouraged for larger groups. Parking here is a bit tricky unless you park at the parking lots. The service here is great and the food comes out quickly! Would recommend here for some good Thai food!"
"We saw this on yelp and wanted to support a local business. It is a block from the Hilton Financial District and near Chinatown. It is off a small side street and is worth a visit if you are in the area. We walked from our hotel. There was no line at 8:30 on a holiday so we were immediately sat. The service was attentive and helpful. The decor is so cute and upscale. We loved the French toast, it is was moist flavorful and an absolute must get! Yum!"

"Zen Yai's delicious and authentic Thai food is definitely worth venturing into the Tenderloin. I've been here twice now for dinner on the weekend and both times have been excellent. They have a varied menu - I appreciate that they offer a variety of Thai dishes. Their pad kee mao is delicious. I especially enjoyed it at the 'spicy' level (I didn't think the 'moderate' spice level was too spicy). My partner ordered a rice, chicken, and mushroom dish served in a clay pot that was also delicious. He also really enjoyed the boat noodles. The staff are friendly and efficient. They asked if we minded moving tables to accommodate a large group and they brought us both complementary Thai iced teas. :) Overall, Zen Yai is probably the best Thai food I've had in SF. I'll be back!"
"We have always strolled by this cute and cozy restaurant when we're in Japantown. We have dined here a couple of times and finally coming back to satisfy our thai food cravings. The staff here are so kind, attentive, making the dining experience so welcoming. What we ordered:- Pad Kee Mao w/ chicken - Thai Street BBQ platter (get this, so worth the money and you can try different dishes such as sticky rice, thai salad, larb, and chicken) - Duck Curry (this was so so good because they give you deboned duck meat. I appreciate this so much because I don't like biting into bones)- Mango Sticky Rice (lightly sweet which makes it so good) - Tom Yum & Tom Kha beer (must try even if you don't like beer as it is very light in taste)I can't wait to come back to try more dishes and the hospitality is top notch!"
"Thoroughly enjoyable experience. They have great portions at decent prices and the ambience of the restaurant is pretty fun and lively. Their pad see ew, pad Thai, fried rice, chicken wings were all very good! I really enjoyed their chicken wings... The only thing that I thought was just okay was their chicken satay. I also had their Thai iced tea and it was pretty average/good - nothing to write home about but it did the job. They also have alcoholic beverages here and I saw that they had this Ferris wheel of shots that looked fun! This is good for large groups because you can do family style and share a variety of entrees which is really nice! The people who work here are also very helpful and answer all of your questions! So all in all, this is a pretty standard Thai restaurant with the typical dishes you'd find, with good service and decent prices - this place is definitely a place that you should hit if you're looking for a good Thai place around the area."
"Went for an amazing champagne brunch with pancakes and more. Good service and lovely design inside! We'll be back for sure!"
"I came with my friend because we had a craving for Thai food. The service was good, the server was welcoming. The place is not too big but is decorated in a charming way.We ordered three dishes which was the Chicken Satay, Sweet Sol, Chicken Pad Thai, , and Coconut rice. The Chicken Satay was a bit dry but with the sauce it was still pretty good. The Sweet Sol was fried well and the inside was tender without bones. The last dish we had was the Chicken Pad Thai which is one of my favorites in Thai cuisine. It had the right amount of seasoning and the noodles were just right. The coconut rice was a good accompaniment to the dishes. I have been to this restaurant two times and it is a good find and pretty consistent."
"Came here on a Saturday evening, got seated right away. Friendly and attentive staff. Love the ambience, clean and spacious. Food was delicious and large portions! Will def be back!"
"Cute place. We enjoyed a black crepe filled with Thai tea iced cream and whipped cream, served with Thai tea sauce and Oreo crumbles topped with egg yolk strands for chew."
"It's the ONLY place for Thai food in the city! Been going for over 20 years! I take all my visiting friends and they LOVE it!"
"Don't be put off by the name of the restaurant. The Burmese and Thai food is the most sophisticted, delicate food of its kind. I have had meals with friends and family several times in the restaurant and twice had takeout sophisticated enough to call "catering." Everything was delicious."
"I ordered delivery from The Thonglor on a recent trip to San Francisco and it did not disappoint... I had a green curry dish with tofu + veggies and jasmine rice.Delivery was fast and efficient and they met me in the lobby of my hotel.I would have liked a bit more eggplant in the dish, but it was delicious, affordable, and more than enough food for me.I would absolutely order again and also hope to dine in in the future."

Stopped by for brunch with some of my gorls on a Wednesday afternoon and had no wait time :). Everything here was delish! We ordered the Traditional Egg Benny, Chicken and Waffles, Voila French Toast Brioche and drinks! Three of us actually ordered the Chicken and Waffles (I know, how original haha) because it looked so tasty! The flavor for everything was so good and the potatoes were crunchy! The chicken was fried to perfection and not too oily! There was a Spicy Mayo (?) like sauce that came with the chicken which went very well together. The French toast was decent, it was not too sweet which is a plus but I'm not sure if it was anything spectacular. For drinks, we ordered the Mocha, Green Tea Latte, and Tiger Latte. I like there we could make adjustments to our drinks ie. type of milk, decaf vs caffeine, flavors added etc. Staff members were so attentive and efficient. The restaurant is located in a sub-street which was a bit confusing because it felt like there weren't really any other stores on that street but the inside of the restaurant was super cute and gave me a Paris vibe! Would definitely recommend stopping by at Sisterita for a delish brunch!

Most delicious and delicately prepared Thai icon. Sadly they have fallen a bit on hard times because of the homelessness population right outside their door. Don't let that dissuade you- so wonderful!

Cute spot for Thai food - while what we got was pretty good, I was a bit disappointed in the food but the interior is cute with lots of neon lights and decor for Christmas! My friend and I shared the Street Combo BBQ which is meant for 2 and comes with BBQ chicken, chicken salad, papaya salad, and sticky rice. I loved the chicken and papaya salad combo which was light and refreshing but the BBQ chicken was pretty dry and lacked flavor even with the thai dipping sauce and the sticky rice was pretty hard even though it came wrapped in foil. The vibe is cute and location is good next to the Japantown Center but I'd probably order something different if I'm back again.

I called to make a same day reservation for my group of 5 on a Saturday at 7:30pm. The restaurant was about 90% full. We ordered the following:Pad cha scallop 3/5 (there's lots of baby scallops)Stir fried squid with salted egg yolk 2/5 (squid was chewy)Pad Thai with shrimp 2/5 (way too saucy for our liking)Grilled pork shoulder 5/5Tofu, mixed vegetable 5/5Crispy rice salad 5/5Sticky rice and garlic ginger rice 5/5Service 5/5Please note, for our group of 5, an automatic 20% tip was added to the bill even though there is a "suggested tip" section too: 18%-25%. I didn't notice until after I left the restaurant and I had to go back to get it reversed. Also note, mild is still pretty spicy.

I really thought this was a candy store and have shied away for a while lol. Glad i finally tried it! What a lovely affordable thai restaurant! The Good:- fair prices ($15 for tofu stir fry dish post inflation)- huge portions - super nice and accommodating service staff- they serve some soju and light sparkling cocktails as well- really cute, hip place to hang out! really my vibe, but you all don't know me so i guess that's not much to addThe meh: - nothing, maybe their name because it pushed me away for so long

They must have sold and have new owner. The food is horrendous. Pad Thai bad. Where the hell did the Kra Pow go? I can't even find it on the menu. The egg rolls are full of wood ear mushrooms and not much else. AND no respectful Thai person would use jalapenos instead of Thai or birds eye chilies. Get out of here. Never ordering from here again.

"Quaint, friendly and incredibly delicious food. I have to say that out of all the food I ate in San Francisco, this little gem BY FAR was the best. We went to Michelin rated restaurants, restaurants on the wharf, Chinatown and restaurants in and around town only to be dreaming of the food here. God bless these people! Not only was the food absolutely incredible, but the prices were extremely reasonable and the staff there were so nice! We had a party of 6 and we all got different food and they all were delicious! All the food was fresh, tasty, presented well and generously portioned. This place should be a national treasure."
"Saw the sign that they have been open for 36 years so I had to give it a try. Boy am I happy I trusted my instinct. This place is so homey, employees so kind, environment is picturesque and overall an amazing place. Spring rolls phenomenal, packed with ingridents, incredibly fresh and generous potion! The peanut sauce was also homemade and amazing.I got their egg noodle with yellow curry, this was the best curry I've ever had in my life. The balance between sweetness and heat was perfect. It was thick and combined amazing with the fried crackly noodles and the soft egg noddles. Highly recommend this place."
"a superb authentic thai restaurant near pacifica! this spot is informal, and its a small establishment located inside a nice shopping plaza with plenty parking. this is take out onlyi ordered their shrimp fried rice with side of grilled chicken and their shrimp pew sew ew: fr craving seafood. its quiet and nice inside, and staff was nice, with the one nice sir helping out with the menu selectionshrimp fried rice w/ grilled chicken (8.8/10)delicious rice topped with large shrimp, tail on. grilled chicken needed more flavor, but it was perfectly cookedshrimp pew sew ew (8.3/10)thai noodles, seasoned w spices, tossed with shrimp. served very hot, consistent flavor"
"This place is a real gem. I am hard to impress and rarely give anyone 5 stars on the first try. Maybe I am hungry today but my take out of pad eggplant with chicken light on the oil was DELICIOUS. Eggplant absorbs a lot of oil but this one was really well done and not oily. Also not salty. I asked for mild and it was exactly right mildI think I am also excited as it's a 7 min walk from the beach chalet soccer field parking lot. I am here like twice a week so finding a place I like walking distance is a gift Lastly not too pricey. Everything in sf is now just expensive. Rice at $3.25 could be cheaper but the Eggplant with chicken at $16.95 is expected. I will definitely be back."
"Hands down the best Thai in this area. We came in for a table of 27 & they happily took care of us.The food was legit! Every one of us loved what we ordered. Their shaken beef, pad Thai and pad gra pow were phenomenal!"
"This place was so yummy....... or should I say YIMMY!!!!!!!! The ambience was great, super warm inside, great big windows and lots of people. Service was excellent, food was even better. Duck soup. Green curry. Pad Thai. Crispy rolls x2. Fried rice. Tom yum. Papaya salad. We are stuffed!"
"I ordered delivery, and it was super fast. The food was also very good. I ordered a green curry with vegetables, and a yellow curry with chicken. The green curry was my favorite, it had so much variety of perfectly cooked veggies and also had a hint of spiciness even at the mild request. I've had it at a medium spice level on a past order, and that provides a solid warming of the mouth that lingers, in a good way:)I will keep order my Thai food from Chili Cha Cha 2 and you should too!"
"Everything in the House Specials and Thai Set looked so enticing it was hard to choose what to order. The server enthusiastically recommended dishes she enjoyed while navigating an allergy in the group.Must Order: Tom Zaap Spare Rib, Coconut Green Salad, Southern Fried Chicken (but w/the sauce from the coconut dish)The Golden Pumpkin and River Prawns were just okay for me, although they did complement the meal overall. I would recommend the Golden Pumpkin if you've never tried pumpkin with egg before. The prawns did not have much meat.Overall it was a tasty meal and a nice departure from the sweet Americanized dishes you usually see on Thai menus."
"Incredible food! Outstanding service! This may be my absolute fav restaurant in the City now!! Super easy to find parking within a block"
"Was looking for lunch after a shopping session near San Carlos, and Isarn was an amazing find. This place will rank very high of all the Thai restaurants in the peninsula. The restaurant will hold a fair amount of people and the space was pretty cozy, aided with all kinds of Thai and holiday motifs. Big bonus for having their own parking lot.The menu was very extensive, and I appreciated the availability of the lunch specials. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew captured the right flavors, the dumpling in curry sauce and fried tofu were hits with the children, and the basil beef rice plate was fantastic. The Praram Chicken could have benefited from more flavors. The special papaya salad dish was surprising with all the extra meats, but be forwarded that their spice levels are right at par on what you would expect in the Thai culture. A level 2 spice is far more than a tickle. There were two servers for a weekday lunch, but they were very attentive to all the patrons. This was a great experience and worth another drive back to get more."
"After a nearby doctor's appointment, I stopped by this location for a quick drink. They have two options for milk for their Thai Iced Tea-- coconut milk or standard. I went with standard with light ice. It was very good -- not too sweet! There is plenty of seating and street parking. I can't wait to come back to eat here."
"Delicious food; small location so there could be a wait. We signed our name and phone number on the paper in the front. They ran out of pad kee mao and pad see ew by the time we sat :( but my friends said it's the best they've had so I'll have to come back and try it!The pad Thai was soo good and saucy! Sometimes other places have pad thai that's a little dry but this dish was perfect. I don't usually opt for pad thai but I will 100% get this again. The mushroom fries are better than the corn tempura; we asked for spicy mayo on the side (it comes with plum sauce also). The lettuce wraps were also a hit! Nice and fresh veggie with crispy pork."
"This place is quite, clean and the food is amazing. Was running out of time headed back from sf, when I stumbled upon this spot, I tell you what, one of the best pad see In the area! Parking was a bit tough but this place is worth every penny, food is made fresh, portioned generously & and flavors well rounded!"
"Excellent food, lovely screens between tables provided a sense of privacy, friendly staff"
"Great place to grab a quick bite. Delicious!!!Service is normal if is busy be patient. Nice indoor seating and very small outdoor/street seating is available."
"The Tom Kha Gai (Chicken) and Green Curry were excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. This place is a winner!I've ordered from them through Grubhub four times now. $43.35 for Tom Kha Gai (Chicken) and Green Curry isn't cheap, but it is worth it. It is the best Thai I've had since going to Marnee Thai years ago."
"This place consistently keeps its five star service, food quality and superior taste through the years. Man and Nina continue to keep up with the demands of their clientele. This remains a family owned neighborhood Thai restaurant well-loved by many.Their Thai iced tea is like no other. The Catfish Salad (which we order less spicy) is so refreshing. The Shrimp Suit, Beef Jerky, and Spicy Angel Wings, are our top choices to share. Another fave that we've asked Man to create for us is Lettuce Wrap.Go check them out. I am pretty sure you will find a dish in their menu to satisfy your cravings."
"Came here with a group of friends so we were able to order a big variety and share these entrees family style! The food was yummm and so flavorful! The staff were nice and attentive! Can't decide which was my fav but would def come back for more!"
"This was my first time dining here and it was perfection! The Yellow Curry was exquisite - hot and packed with flavor. Thai Tea was great as well. Server was super attentive and friendly. I love these casual, intimate hole in the wall places."
"Thank you for taking care of our rowdy group! A group of eight of us walked up from the Tavern looking for a good meal, not just burritos this night. We plowed in, tipsy and hungry, and this place took master care of us. I know the feeling when big groups come in at the end of the night, but none of it showed with the staff. The food, omg the food. I had fried chicken, tasted my boyfriends pad Thai, and had dumplings and Brussel sprouts as appetizers. The Brussel sprouts were AMAZING. Crispy and tasty! Everyone said they loved the food, and whatever wasn't eaten was taken home to enjoy later. This place is on my list to visit again. It's an unassuming location, a couple blocks from a busy neighborhood in a more quiet and residential area. Adorable and welcoming. They took care of us and we appreciate it."
"Thai Stick is an amazing restaurant in downtown Millbrae, just off the exit from SFO airport! When you walk into this restaurant, you feel like it's more of a home feeling as you're immediately greeted by staff and seated with a friendly smile. The place is simple, but the food is soo good! I've been here many times and the food never disappoints. My favourite is the minced chicken, Thai spicy hot level with a fried egg on top. My friend ordered pad see ewe noodles with beef and looked and tasted so good! When you're having your meal, staff check on you and make sure you're satisfied. The owner and cook Paul is often in the kitchen making the delicious meals, but will occasionally walk around and chat with customers. The ambiance feels more like you're having a family dinner at a home with a relaxed atmosphere and conversations with staff. The price point is where you'd expect for a good, filling meal. If you're in Millbrae, I suggest you go give it a go! Parking is street parking and fairly easy to find a spot with parking lots around."
"I'm pretty stunned by the mid reviews. I really enjoyed this place! It feels more authentic than a fusionized Thai place. It's a straight forward casual restaurant with no frills. They aren't trying to upscale. They bring you cozy Thai food. Service was fine, nothing spectacular but they're friendly. Chicken satay - one of the best chicken satay I've had in a long time. Chicken was flavorful and moist. Chicken eggplant stir fry - it was good, nice flavor profile. Khao poon - my fave! Love khao poon! Rich flavor and nice blend of curry taste. I highly recommend getting this!"
"We ordered delivery from here and had a positive experience. Good food, smooth online ordering via Yelp, and on-time delivery. Their prices and fees, however, were higher than our usual go-to spot for Thai delivery. Our family of 3 ordered the following and had plenty of leftovers:1) Green curry with chicken - very good 2) Pad see ew with chicken - good3) Spicy eggplant - flavorful, though not particularly spicy 4) Spicy green beans - good, though not particularly spicy 5) Mixed vegetable - on the bland side I ordered online via Yelp and the food arrived when promised. I was disappointed by the multiple fees - service charge, delivery fee, and driver subsidy, which we are not charged by Chili Cha Cha, our go-to Thai spot (where we also order via the Yelp app). Overall, we had a good meal here and would return."
