And somehow, even though it's always solid via takeout, dining in just takes it to a whole new level. The chimichurri sauce especially--it hits different fresh at the table, bright and punchy in all the right ways.Casual spot, chill vibes--order at the counter, find your own seat, nothing fussy. My friend grabbed a side of fries, and honestly, those were pretty great too. Bonus: their ice cream is surprisingly good, so save a little room if you can.TL;DR: Chicken rice bowls are a must (duh), dine-in if you want the full flavor experience, and don't sleep on the fries or ice cream."

"If there's one thing I know, it's that San Jose in the state of California has thee best pho - without a doubt. Knowing that the Vietnamese community is so strong here - Their soup has be cooking none stop for that deep broth that a lot of other places strive for but within a shorter cooking time. This place, the ambiance is golden. Beautifully picturesque, clean, spacious, and organized - we absolutely knew we were in for a whole 'nother experience that what we've been privy to. When we first got there, the staff was super nice and was able to seat us as soon as we walked in the door. The servers were especially patient with us as we needed some time to look over the menu (we did not know about the hype) and was able to order the San Jose Bowl with additional bone marrow and ribs, Cowboy Pho with side of boneless ribs, and a few drinks. I did not know that the additional ribs would be so huge! I thought that they brought us both orders of ribs and mistakenly forgot about the boneless ribs but when they came back with the boneless ribs I was shocked at how much food I had ordered! The bone marrow. WOW. That gave the soup another level of texture! Let's not forget about the broth, so deep and flavorful. Don't even dare drench that bowl of soup with sauces until you taste the soup. I can't stop thinking about this soup. It was rememberable!"

"I came across Luke's Lobster on Yelp when checking out spots to enjoy while on my recent visit to SanFran. I'm not usually a lobster roll kinda girl, but it's only been because I hadn't had 'the one' yet. I didn't love the cold concept and the warm version I had wasn't 'it'. But when I read reviews for Luke's, I knew it was worth checking it out.My hotel was located in Union Square which isn't super far from this location so I figured it'd make a nice dinner in my hotel and a great way for me to get my steps in. When I visited on an early Friday evening, there was one guy sitting and enjoying his food and two team members in the back. Pretty quiet for a Friday but no complaints from me! Despite reviewing the menu dozens of times before I went in, I still didn't know what I wanted, lol. The staff was so patient and kind, I'm sure they were wishing that I'd hurry up and order! I finally decided to go with the combo including a small lobster roll, a bowl of clam chowder and a drink. I had my heart set on the lobster bisque but the gentleman who rang me up promised me that it'd be some of the best clam chowder that I've ever had. Sold. The price felt like a down payment on a home, but eggs are like $25 these days so my girl math made it even. I was tempted to stay and enjoy the peace of the restaurant but decided to walk back to my hotel.I was so happy to get back to my hotel and realize that my chowder was still warm - yay! Let me say. The guy at Luke's was not lying, it was some of the best clam chowder that I've ever had. If not #1, then #2. It was so flavorful, not too thick or thin, it was filled with clams and potatoes. Wow. I need it shipped to me by the barrel. And the roll! I was so upset when I realized that I neglected to ask for one of their special butters but whew, it was awesome without it. I barely got good pics because I was so hungry. The bread was so buttery and soft. They were incredibly generous with the lobster, like, was there a sale on lobster meat? How can they just pack it on like that? lol Whatever, I didn't have any of these questions at the time because I was too busy stuffing my face with lobster roll. Seriously worth every single dime. I wish I would have brought some chowder back with me to Atlanta!"

The restaurant seems to be a family owned business as I only saw one lady working and one man cooking in the back.We ordered two different clay pot rice, which the waiter said are the most popular orders here. The first one was a combo option that had chicken, yellow eel, and duck. The second one was a sausage and pork. Personally, I thought that the clay pot itself was quite bland in flavor , there was not much flavoring in the rice itself, and I thought that the proteins were not the highest quality as if it had been sitting around for a little while. I do appreciate that they serve the dish in a sizzling, hot bowl however I was expecting there to be much more crunchy crispy rice at the bottom. Unfortunately, both of my bowls only had a couple pieces of crispy rice, even though we let it sit in this sizzling pot for a while before Eating. The dish is also served with a side soup which seem to be a broth with bean curd skin and carrots, I really enjoyed this. It was simple but a good side to have with the rice. Overall, it was a decent place to satisfy my cravings, but with so many other options in San Francisco, I hesitate whether I would return."

I ordered hot tea which I am happy with it, we ordered number 52 I'm not a fan of it the pickles young papaya and Carrots so chunky feel like pickles soup. Number 26 Pho has a good flavor and sliced steak, I can't imagine two of us eating it till almost gone, I was about to bring home little broth left but my friend said no no. "My wife and I frequent this place whenever a craving hits us for a nice, piping hot bowl of Pho or a Crispy Ban Mi. The restaurant itself is always clean and well kept. This place is run by a wife and husband couple, and they're extremely pleasant and genuinely nice people. Their staff are efficient and fast when it comes to making the food. I've tried about half of what's on their menu so far, but my favorite dish by far has to be their combo Ban Mi. The bread is flaky and crispy on the outside while being soft and cloud-like on the inside. The pate is so good I always ask for extra. It must be said that they really load up the sandwiches with a ton of meat, making it an even more worthwhile choice. On a cold day, nothing beats their rare beef Pho. I always get the small size and they really hook it up with a generous amount of noodles and meat. The broth is always that perfect balance of savory and sweet. Lastly, I'd recommend their Five Star Rice plate, simply because it has a little bit of every kind of protein in it: shrimp, chicken, pork, egg, and a mound of rice. Do not sleep on this place! If you like good Vietnamese food, then you gotta try Pho Cafe."

"Yummmmmm.After our usual grocery shopping trip for vegetables on Clement, my spouse and I decided that it was time for dinner and since it was very cold, we thought soup would be the best option. We came upon M Pot while walking back to our car and decided to stop by for dinner. The restaurant is small but has a lot of seating. The service is quick and the person who helped us get settled was very nice. They have a variety of options for veggies, meats, seafood and noodles. I got a mix of veggies, some fish ball with roe, tofu and yam noodles. The minimum weight is about .80lb and for that amount of weight, it is a pretty good amount of items in the bowl of soup. There are 5 broths to choose from: beef bone, tomato, laksa, yom tum and pork and you pick which level of spice you want. I opted for the medium while my spouse got the extra spicy- he was very brave but also, the heat was evident based on the sweat on his forehead. We both got the classic beef bone broth and picked the items we wanted. The food was great and just what we needed on this chilly evening! They have a sauce station which had a few options but were very complementary to the soup. We will need to come back to try the other soup bases!"

"Excellent chowder! I'm surprised it took me this long to find out about this place. Their Boston clam chowder is super tasty, creamy, full of clam and bacon. Definitely lick-the-spoon-worthy; sop up any remnants in the bowl using their soft, buttery, doughy sourdough bread.Their bread bowl is huge and further seasoned with old bay (?) and butter, which really kicks up the clam chowder bread bowl ($16) to another level. More than enough for a meal for 1 person.The CT style lobster roll ($25) was meh, I'll pass for next time and stick with the namesake chowder. Too much celery, not pure lobster and butter per the usual CT lobster roll. (Unless they got my phone order wrong--they spoke English but not 100% fluently.)If you like Boudin's chowder, Boudin's is like canned soup compared to Scott's. Definitely worth going out of your way on a chilly foggy SF day."

Truth be told, I was probably enamored more with Soupchu's menu than Saucy Greens'. Honduras Kitchen def needs some love because the Mondongo is BOMB!I was working from home and couldn't get out so I ordered delivery via UberEats. My food arrived piping hot in about 40 minutes. There was also two pieces of sweet corn, carrots, and chayote (like a cross between a cucumber and squash).The rice was perfectly cooked, slick and chewy, not mushy. Handmade corn tortillas were thick, chewy, and pliable.Not only was this meal cheap and damn delicious....it lasted me 3.5 meals. Ok, so technically, it's not cheap after the service fees and tip but that's on me and the price of convenience.Overall, I'm glad I gave Honduras Kitchen a try because I've found my fav Mondongo in the city!"
