"We came here to try the Salmon Curry, vegetarian Momos, and the Palak Paneer. The Naan and Rice is complimentary with every dish! The Momos: I see why everyone raves about them. They have layers of spices in each bite, and the curry sauce they come with has a little kick. They are so delicious. The spice does not overwhelm all the other flavors in the Momo. Salmon Curry: Oh I loved this dish. You can really taste the salmon amidst the curry spices, and the texture was *chef's kiss! There was enough that two people had a bit of leftovers too. Palak Paneer: I've read hit of miss reviews about this dish. Some people said it was too thin/liquid of a sauce. I've had Palak Paneer at numerous places and every single place does it a little differently. It's true that Palak Paneer at Cuisine of Nepal had a thinner curry but it's still delicious. The cheese cubes are quite large and flavorful. The sauce was mild in spice. For desert we ordered Lal Mohan, yum!! A very sweet taste with a pudding-like texture. Reminded me very much of a doughnut hole but soaked in honey. In this case it was saffron. The ambience: Cuisine of Nepal feels very European in terms of its inner layout. My wife and I sat at a two person table in a long row of two person tables down a narrow hall. We got there for an early dinner (around 5:30) and the place had only two other guests. By the time 6:30 rolled around I felt like I was at an intimate dinner party with long rows of people facing each other. It became very busy so I'd suggest coming earlier to get a seat."
"First off, this restaurant is clean. That's important to me. Secondly, the service and food are excellent. I can tell they really care about their guests. And thirdly, the prices are reasonable. Who doesn't want to eat at a place they can easily afford?I noticed this restaurant with its sidewalk awning while driving past it on Geary Street, towards The Grocery Outlet and the Orthodox Cathedral (otherwise known for its onion-shape domes). A quick look on Yelp and the reviews were very good. I love Indian food and it's been a while since I had it. So I decide to try it; after all, my stomach was nearly empty. The place appears formal with each table covered by white tablecloths, and enhanced with noticeably bright red cloth napkins and large water glasses. It's elegant without being uncomfortable. Dinner guests were dressed casually and there were quite a few families and groups when I arrived on a Saturday evening. The staff is very eager to see guests to a table and fill their glasses with water promptly. Two large seed-filled crackers with three distinct flavored sauces (mint, sweet syrup, and reddish hot pepper) were brought to me on-the-house. My tastebuds were awakened. I ordered the lentil dahl soup which arrived piping hot and the raita made with yogurt, cucumber, and spices; it not only cooled down the soup, but added more flavor to the mild taste of the dahl soup. Their chai tea's deep sweet flavor was delightful.I ordered the garlic naan that was very long in size and tasty. The medium-spice lamb curry was filled with chunks of meat; a separate order of basmati rice that's served in a tin bowl was more than enough for the curry sauce. After dinner, a complementary bowl of delicious rice pudding was brought to me which was a nice surprise. My first visit to this place was a real pleasure and I hope to return again soon."

"We stopped in here for pre-theater dinner. The building is pretty non-descriptive at the moment since it's covered in scaffolding. Don't miss out on this restaurant because of it! We tried classic chicken momos, cauliflower roast and Dhaba Chicken Curry. Everything was great, and probably just a tad too much food for two, not pictured was a side of basmati rice and Mango Lassis. Service was very friendly, thank you for the recommendations!"
"My brother ordered DoorDash from Urban Momo way too many times as it's his favourite go to. Yesterday he ordered for me when am visiting him in Foster city. The order arrived so quickly to my surprise. We got: Chicken Chow Mein schezwan flavors - it was amazing. Loved the taste, texture and flavours. It gave the charred texture that makes it authentic like made in Indian street style bandi. chicken momo's. Plump, juicy, packed with tasty meat and steamed to perfection. The momo sauce was perfect combination to the momo.Neatly packed and filled to the brim. Would recommend for sure."
"Yum! This restaurant is worth a visit. It's small, but the service is friendly and fast. My partner and I live in the neighborhood and stopped by for dinner a few weeks ago and I'm so glad we did. We tried the Kathmandu chicken, lentil soup, and Shahi paneer. We loved them all and it was a filling meal with a nice variety of flavors and textures. I also have a lot of vegetarian and GF friends, and they have a lot of available options, so this is a crowd pleaser for a group with various food sensitivities."
"This place is always consistent. Food is still a 10/10. Service is quick and staff members are friendly. Went for dinner on a Friday night and it was the busiest I've ever seen the place. Mission Curry House has always been super strong with takeout/delivery so it was a nice surprise to see a bunch of people in the restaurant.Tried the Chow Mein for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Tasted better than I was expecting. The only change is the menu. There's a QR Code on the table and you order through your phone and also pay through your phone."
"Excellent service, excellent food! This was my first visit to Nepa and had such a lovely experience. It was casual, clean, with an easy going vibe. Our waters were always filled and we were checked in on at a good pace.We ordered:Tandoori mix grillChicken Tikka Masala Dal MakhaniShrimp vindalooExcellently spiced, these dishes warmed my tastebuds and my belly. I will definitely be coming back!"
"I recently ordered from Noe Indian Cuisine, and every dish was a hit! For $50, the flavors and quality were outstanding, and it was delivered right to my door--an incredible treat. The Momo chili chicken was packed with bold, vibrant flavors. The chicken was tender, and the spicy, tangy chili sauce had just the right kick to make every bite irresistible. It's a must-try for anyone who loves a flavorful dish with a hint of heat. The shish kebab was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, with juicy, smoky flavors that were simply unforgettable. It was paired beautifully with the fresh, warm naan. Speaking of which, the garlic naan and plain naan were phenomenal--soft, fluffy, and the perfect accompaniment to the meal. The garlic naan had just the right amount of garlic to enhance the flavors without overpowering them. The combination of these dishes made for an incredibly satisfying and delicious meal."
"Excellent chicken tikka masala here. I was pleasantly surprised by the free appetizer: pappardum with mint and tamarind chutneys."

The BEST momos! I crave it every time the weather gets cold. The soup is very spicy (be warned!) but warms you up very quickly and is so comforting. Please reopen so we can stop by again!

Very solid Indian food! I don't have Indian food often, but I was pleased by the dishes we ordered at this restaurant. For a party of 4, we were seated immediately on a weekday night and throughout the duration of our meal, the service was quick and friendly. They came multiple times to fill up our waters, and the food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the chicken momos, biryani, butter chicken, malai kofta, and garlic naan. My favorites were the momos and dipping the garlic naan into the butter chicken. So delicious! I did not love the biryani as I felt the dish overall was a bit dry and had a lot of cilantro incorporated in. Otherwise, I would totally come back and order my favorites to get my fix!

Within a non-descript building, on atransitioning part of Market Street, lies this super comfie dining room turning out killer authentic Himalayan dinners. Don't miss the lamb vindaloo, the inventive flavored rice dishes, and the chile garlic naan. Our server from Nepal (Pabin?) was super sweet, helpful, and genuinely friendly. Go here!

- Chai - 4/10 Not strong enough. have had better. For an napali/indo-Chinese restaurant their chai was mid.- Spicy Chicken Wings (6/10) - Pretty spicy. Had a good flavor. The chicken wing itself was a bit fatty so it had a slimy-ness to it. Not a fan of the texture. - Chicken Biriyani (8.5-10) - Flavor was pretty good. Chicken was cooked well. It wasn't dry like a lot of restaurant biriyani is. - Garlic Naan (9-10) - Crispy on one side.Soft on the other. Buttery and garlic-y. Loved it. - Fried paneer momo (8.9/10) - Good filling (veggies and paneer). Fried well. Loved the fried dough.- Chicken momo (8.7/10) - Flavorful chicken filling. Outer wrapping was good too. OVERALL 3.9/5 stars I would go again. I just wouldn't get the chai and wings again.

I've only had Nepal food a handful of times at an event (food truck) or through a food delivery service. This was my first time dining at a Nepalese restaurant. I was so impressed! My fiance and I ordered a few things to share.-Chicken Chili Momo: We've had this a few times in TX, and we loved it. I was super excited to try this. This was pretty good, I like that they were so plump and large. However, it was soggy on the outside, rather than crispy. It's probably because it was smothered in sauce. I enjoyed the perfectly cooked onions and bell peppers which added some brightness to the dish.-Almond Cashew Curry: A MUST. This is a vegan dish but you can add any protein. We opted for lamb. The flavor of this curry was amazing. My fiance and I demolished this. I could probably eat this everyday. -Garlic Naan: One of the best garlic naans ever. It was light, thin, and super garlicy. Very delish!-Bhaktapur Okra: Essentially stir fried okra. It was pretty good, but some pieces were kinda hard and chewy. They may have added older okra. We enjoyed the flavor, but it was inconsistent. TLDR: If you can't decide what to order, definitely get the almond cashew curry + garlic naan.

Finally tried Mission Curry House and was very impressed ! The place was not crowded for a Thursday night so we were seated right away. The gentleman helping was very engaging and had the warmest welcoming nature. He went around to every table to check on them and offer refills etc. The Atmosphere is very chill and really adds to the dining experience. We had the Momos 10/10, the chicken Tikka masala 9/10, and the garlic naan 8/10. The naan was so good but I like a thicker naan, there's is very airy. Still delicious and I can't wait to be back to try the Aloo Saag

Wow. Belated post, but we went here in November and holy cow, it was the best Indian food either of us have ever had. We could have licked our plates. The servings were generous and the service was so friendly and helpful. We even got free dessert that I was wishing I could pack up to go...if only it wouldn't melt!

Ordered takeout from them and omg the food was so delicious! Their dal soup felt like a warm hug. The tandoori chicken wings sauce was so tangy! We had the assortment of naan bread! Every flavor was so delicious! The chicken momo was perfectly steamed! They stapled the bag together! Some of the dal soup spilled inside the bag.

"I was ABSOLUTELY FIENDIN for some good food WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN i find out there homies are HALAL. my lucky mf day. I called up my boy and ordered me some beef chowmein, chicken momos, AND a tandoori pizza. Big back typa night fr. They were so quick with it too. I didn't even know where to starttt. It all looked fireeeee. But the momos!! Gahhhh dayum. That was an experience. I'll be comin here OFTEN for sure. ALSOOOO, the guys there were so kind and helpful. 10/10.....did i mention the momos!! Hear me out....don't let a lil Tenderloin spook you. Pull up. Trussss"
"I was going to give 4 stars but since they offer free delivery, I bumped up to 5 :PThis is a total hole in the wall, located in a sketch area of Tenderloin. Definitely worth it to get the delivery since its free. Its a very small joint with only maybe 3 tables. We ate in because my friend wanted to get out of the office for lunch. I'm so grateful she wanted to try this place, because it was delicious! My first time trying momos! and they were so bomb. We ordered the chicken. The skin was perfectly steamed, just the right amount of cuecue but firm/dry enough for a good texture. They are huge (larger than dumplings) which make them more satisfying to eat I think. And the spicy orange sauce that came with it had great flavor and spice. The Aloo Paratha was my friend's recommendation and I did not enjoy it as much. It was soggy and heavy, when I would have preferred a crispy lighter naan. The Newari Kaja was so fun and interesting to try! The crispy cracker thing was my favorite! I think its called papadum? It was so light and crispy, and also had some type of seeds in it that added a great flavor. I loved eating that with the meat (sorry not sure what it was) which was sauteed with onions. This dish also had a great smoky slightly spicy flavor. The potato salad and the beans were just okay in my opinion. And the hardboiled egg was lightly fried, which was new to me. Not a fan of eggs made this way...The guy at the counter was not very helpful with explaining the menu and dishes though. They also have free chai, which is quite strong. I was super wired after returning to work.Anyway, I would totally order delivery from this restaurant next time and try some more indian dishes, and definitely more momos!"
"Wonderful Himalayan food! The momos were delightful, and the mixed grilled plate was a fantastic way to sample a number of options. The naan is among the best in SF."
"Little hole in the wall open late in the financial district. Food was amazing and service was fast and so reasonably priced. Definitely worth the stop in if you're looking for something great!Chicken tikka masala and butter chicken had just the right amount of spice and the garlic naan melted in your mouth. Not sure what the crispy things were, but my colleague ordered them and I couldn't stop devouring!"
"Delicious food truck in Golden Gate Park! They have steamed or pan fried momos. We got the steamed chicken ones. The condiments/sauces are outside. Fast & efficient service!"
"Sewa is a lovely spot in the Inner Richmond - that serves delicious Nepalese and Indian food. My mom was visiting and after a beautiful stroll in the neighborhood, we were ready for a cozy place to sit, eat, and talk.Sewa was the first spot that we spied and both my mom and I were eager to try it. From the moment we entered, we were kindly greeted by gracious and welcoming staff. The place was decorated well and clean. We were the only ones there - being that it was fairly early on a Sunday afternoon. The staff were quick to bring out some complimentary papadam with three dipping sauces. Sewa's menu is extensive - so I'd recommend taking your time reviewing it. Judging by reviews - it sounds like their naan and momos are popular items. I appreciate that they strive to use local and organic greens in many of their menu items. We ordered the coconut chicken curry with a side of rice - which was served promptly in a big serving dish. I had eaten beforehand, so didn't partake, but my mom thorough enjoyed it. It was such a generous portion that we could easily have had leftovers for another meal. They even gave us a darling complimentary rice pudding bowl at the end of the meal.As we dined - we noticed that there were quite a few takeout and delivery orders being prepared - so if you don't live nearby - or feel like dining in - be sure to check them out for delivery. If you do get the opportunity to dine here - I recommend doing so. The staff were kind and attentive- and the place was well maintained and well run. You can often tell a lot about a place by their restroom - and Sewa's bathroom was pristine!Thank you Sewa for a fantastic lunch experience. It was the perfect setting for a special afternoon with my mom.Trust."
"Love the neighborhood restaurant but I'm unimpressed by the food. I went for lunch and ordered a pretty basic vindaloo, naan and rice. I was pretty surprised that vindaloo was under seasoned. And despite asking for the dish spicy I got something very bland. Naan was dry and think. Almost cracker like. I hope their other dishes are better. And I hope they stay. But in all honesty the food feels watered down for the suburb. And I think they could do better."
"We had such a nice and delicious time here! The atmosphere is welcoming, service is friendly and attentive, and the food rocks. The cauliflower appetizer is a must if you enjoy cauliflower. Maybe even if you think you don't care about cauliflower. My husband loved the lamb skewer. Everything we tasted was delicious, tbh. Try it!! This place is an asset to the neighborhood and your palate."
"Wow I love this place! I been chasing their food trucks in the past, but glad I finally get the chance to actually check out their stable restaurant and not a truck. It looks like this their main location with sit down dining and you can see the ladies making the scrumptious dumplings on the tray. I bought three Chicken MoMo which is Nepalese Ground chicken Dumpling serviced with spicy tomato cilantro sauce. plates to go to let my family try it. It was soft, tender very similar to the Chinese dumpling which I enjoyed. Yummy in my tummy! The most popular street food in Nepal is the momo where each dumplings are stuffed with either Lamb, Turkey or Tofu and Vegetables and served with a tangy roasted tomato and cilantro sauce.I also tried the Gurkha Chicken which was a bit spicy that is made of Boneless chicken thigh stewed in yogurt, tomatoes, and our Bini's Kitchen house spice blend. You definitely needed rice to go with this dish. Great flavoring.I would love to come back here and try more items, and I am glad I took a day off work to make a side trip here. The corridor from 6th and Market is a bit sketchy, just walk quickly. People mostly keep to themselves."
"I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews. This is definitely a hidden gem in Bernal Heights! I ordered some small appetizers: the arugula fig salad and the mango chicken. Both were incredibly delicious. The salad was lightly topped with creamy goat cheese, crunchy walnuts, and sweet figs that perfectly balanced the bitterness of the arugula. The tender chicken was smothered in a sweet and tangy mango sauce. The servers were so nice and helpful, answering all of my questions patiently! The restaurant is also really pretty with each corner decorated in beautiful patterns and hanging trinkets. Great place."
"We recently dined at this incredible Indian restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable culinary experience. The menu featured a delightful variety of dishes, but the real stars of the show were the Butter Chicken, Chicken Momos, Palak Paneer, and Cumin Rice. The Butter Chicken was heavenly! It had that perfect hint of smokiness and sweetness that left me wanting more. We also ordered Chicken Momos the dumpling was packed with juicy, flavorful chicken filling and soft yet firm. It's incredible I must say. Cumin rice is good as well. The paneer is rich, creamy and fresh as well. The place is clean, and new. I like the music selection they played. I also want to highlight the service. The server, Gangga was very helpful and kind. He is super friendly, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic, delicious Indian cuisine!"
"Delicious & affordable I ordered the thakali lamb plate and it was a great deal for essentially a combo plate, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her lamb tikka masala. We also ordered the tikka fries and they were SO GOOD. I am very picky about fries but these were perfect. I also loved the masala sauce they came with. Service was great as well- very attentive and friendly and helpful. So excited to have this place so close! Definitely a new favorite for sure."
"Indoor decorations are great, with big selection of menu. Service is good since there is only one other table so server is kind and happy, but hard to reach to start the service. They won't check for you after they seated you for a while. The reason of the star is because of disappointing food. We had tandoori and chicken momo, but got very dry so-so taste tandoori and something is off with that sauce of momo; but the malai ball, Rasgulla is superb! We won't come back for food but dessert."
"I was early at work one night and ordered Lamb Tikka Masala, basmati rice and naan, everything was absolutely delicious! I love it so much! Unfortuntely since pics would not do it justice because it was delivery through Doordash I did not take any. I'm looking forward to trying their Lamb Saag as that's another favorite of mine!"
