"I came for a tuna sandwich, I asked the staff and it turns out she was the staff that loves their classic tuna sandwich the most so I trusted her and it was so good! Definitely stop by here for delicious sandwiches and they have lots of great items to take home. Next time I will come back with a freezer bag so I can bring home their ready made lasagna, chicken, and so much more!"
"I've been to this place a couple of times. They both were good. Looks like a boring tiny space, right? But what they offer here is huge and the sandwiches are yummy! Service is welcoming and friendly. I don't know her name but she will absolutely make your sandwich the way you want it to be, just ask for it! I think their pricing is well considered for what we get! Come try!!!"

"I was looking for a sandwich shop close to Dolores Park and came across this one which really stood out because of their cool vegetarian/vegan sandwich options! They weren't the basic ones with just a couple veggies and condiments but had vegan meat substitutes and interesting combinations. I ordered ahead by calling so that by the time I got there, our Sandwiches were finished. Would recommend this if you're going during a busy time as people ordering there itself had to wait 30 minutes for theirs to come out. I usually am not a BBQ fan, but had to give the vegetarian BBQ chicken sandwich a try because of all the raving reviews. I got it spicy and throughly enjoyed it! It tasted unlike any sandwich I've ever had and glad I had the chance to try this. I thought everything in the sandwich paired pretty well together. I think the vegan chicken sub was seitan, or at least tasted similar to that, but was covered very well in the sauce! I'll definitely be back to try the other vegetarian sandwiches they offer."
"This is a great place to stop by to pick up lunch before you hit the beach. The sandwiches are to die for using high quality ingredients. Everything from the bread to all of the fixings were really good. I highly recommend if you're looking for a good place to stop by for lunch or grab takeout."
"Great Sandwiches! I've had several of there Sandwiches with no complaints, but I love their breakfast sandwhich! Fresh house made bread with a great staff!"
"Pretty solid smoked brisket sandwich!! For $15, it was a quality sandwich and very tasty. Location is a little off from downtown, but that helps with the parking situation a bit.I would come back for sure!"
"I have been here several times and the items that I have bought is the Rasberry Zingers & Cherry Flavored Energy Drink!!!! This Market & Deli is a cool place!!! Not only that I also had bought myself a Zero Sugar A&W Zero Sugar Root Beer cool place to buy yourself a refreshing drinks or beer of your choice!!!!!"
"Before I came here, if you had asked me for the name of a high quality, family-run meat market in San Francisco, I would've hemmed and hawed and still not come up with a reasonable answer. Yes, I am a carnivore but mostly when somebody else is cooking the meat. Check, please! Gee, I haven't grilled anything in eons, but now I have an answer.I may even end up wearing a chef's hat and one of those long aprons that say something irreverent like 'I LIKE MY BUTT RUBBED' on the front. But before I do that, I should share that I was taking a long walk on Taraval and thought it looked promising from across the street. I really had nothing in mind to buy before entering the front door.Several customers were ahead of me, so I had time to peruse the long display cases of meat as well as the produce, dairy products, and beer on the other side of the shop. Helped by the friendly staff, I was frankly entranced by the wide selection and impulsively bought a couple of Artichoke & Garlic Chicken Sausage (photo: https://yelp.to/OzIztjtYjH) and a couple of prepared items - Chicken Parmesan and Eggplant Parmesan (photo: https://yelp.to/e9ZYVvZCvH).I didn't realize I was buying dinner for the next few days, and all the food turned out to be quite delicious. I grilled the sausage and cut it into slices in a homemade pappardelle dish. I just heated the parmesan dishes and saved myself the time to prepare them. So go ahead and ask me the name of a high quality, family-run meat market in San Francisco. I have an answer.FOOD - 5 stars...everything I bought here was fresh and delicious when I got homeAMBIANCE - 4.5 stars...temptations abound in a small spaceSERVICE - 5 stars...quite helpful and friendlyTOTAL - 5 stars...I do like my butt rubbedRELATED - Exploring the Sunset? "We like these subs, we added extra lettuce and extra tomatoes, love the sourdough roll breads, fresh ingredients everything looks good to us. We will come back and try other sandwiches in the future. Reasonable price! Recommend this place"
"BEST BANH MI SANDWICH EVER!!!!! Huge sandwich, so def worth the price in my opinion. I would ask for extra veggies as well"
"The Boys Deli, is a solid deli with some real deal sandwiches that are not only filling but delicious at the same time. The most recent experience we went the Recession sandwich which comes with turkey, prosciutto, and mozzarella plus all the fixings. The sandwich itself was big and honestly the gf and I split one and we were filled up. The dutch crunch was fresh and soft, and the sandwiches are toasted which is always a plus. For $15 it's worth it for the size and amount of meat you get. My pro tips would be to call ahead and order. We were quoted 20-25 minutes, so definitely save time and call ahead. The deli is located in a liquor/grocery store, and they had some nice adult beverage selections to complete our park day. Good news, is that they are opening a new location in San Bruno soon, right next to CutRight Barbershop, which means I won't be having to drive into the city to get my boy deli sandwich fix."
"Had the turkey avocado on Dutch and it was so good. Cheap and friendly. Would come back here anytime."

Lucca is a cozy deli in one of the major shopping streets of the Marina. Upon entry, please take a number from their stack of number cards and wait for them to call your number. Should take around 5 min.I ordered their #1 Italian combo which is an elevated classic Italian sandwich. They add dark green lettuce to it and some good-sized Italian peppers. I took this delicious sandwich to a nearby park and enjoyed every bite, especially the bread. I don't know which is the bread they gave me since they didn't ask what I wanted but I'm going to guess it's a soft Italian roll. Maybe others can chime in and let me know what the default is. The bread is mildly flaky on the outside and soft inside.Definitely worth the trek from the peninsula to here and would get this one again.

I passed by on my way to the hotel. Walking in smelled so good. The lady who served me was so fast and that sandwich was so good. I got the Texas Melt. Don't usually go for BBQ, but this one was pretty good. Worth the try.

* date visited: 08.24.2024* ordered: valencia on dutch crunch * the sandwich is so fresh and HUGE. i absolutely love the different textures (crunch from the pickles, tomatoes, onions) softness from the avocado and turkey with the crisp bacon. the bread is also so so good i love dutch crunch * flavor wise, pretty sour and mustard-forward (so don't get this if you're not into it. i didn't think i would be, but it was very good)

Garden deli cafe--- located downtown half moon bay! Came here after a long day at the beach! It's a little confusing because I thought it was called San Benito house. It's also connected to a Mexican cantina. Nevertheless-- the food was good! You go inside to order-- they had a wide variety of drinks, chips, and desserts. I got a turkey sandwich, chips, a soda and a brownie. Everything was delicious. I had my yellow lab with me so we had to sit outside. I really liked the fact that they let me come in with her to order, as I was alone and didn't have anyone to watch her outside. The food was really good! The outdoor patio is beautiful! Would totally come back! Also the staff was very nice and respectful!

I placed at order with Colombo's at 4:30pm on Tuesday, July 9th 2024 through their website which prompted me to their DoorDash User interface. It turns out they closed early that day (3pm rather than 6pm like they have stated online and on their door) due to being short handed in staffing. So I went down to the store only to find it closed!!No big deal, right? Just come in and have them rectify the issue, right???Nope!! I came in the next day and they said to take it up with DoorDash. Then Doordash said to take it up with them.I have called, emailed, and even did the website inquiry on Columbo's website to no avail. It's a month later, and I haven't reached any resolution. They essentially ghosted me over $48.70.I'm never coming here again, they are overrated and Upper Crust Deli down the road 8 minutes (still in Pacifica) is better and cheaper. They also have softer Dutch crutch to. So if You're an SF Native like me you'll appreciate the difference.Or just go over the hill to Little Luca Sandwiched which alway has the best snadwiches.Below is what DoorDash told me.Please see the attached pics as well.Hi George,Thank you for contacting DoorDash!Upon checking your order, I see that it was placed directly from the Merchant application.Since the payment is directly made to the restaurant, we just act as a delivery partner. They do not give access nor we have the authority to process any compensation. I request you to reach out to them for further help. I will assure you that they will definitely assist you with this to your satisfaction. The orders placed through Door Dash application will be completely taken care of by us but this order is handed over to them as they are the owner of the authority for the payment. Only the Dasher from us will be picked to deliver the food.Your reference number for this request is 630007906.Best,PreshikaDoorDash Support

"This location has been around for a while now since 1984.The first time I ever ate a falafel it came from here , leave it to Unc to show us the way. This is the flag ship store, It's definitely seen better days. Although the parking maybe difficult I come here for a consistent falafel. A dozen for $10 or $6 for half a dozen. It's definitely not as Prestige as it once size and taste but there's a reason why they been here the longest"
"This is the best place to buy meat and fish! Super great neighborhood vibe. Very friendly and accommodating. I prefer to buy my chicken, salmon and steaks here vs any large supermarket."
"Came across Handy Deli on Yelp while looking for sandwiches near Golden Gate Park, and I'm so happy I did! I feel like delis that double as liquor stores can be hit or miss, and this was a huge hit! The variety of sandwiches was plentiful, as was the drink and beer selection. They had everything ranging from breakfast sandwiches, to traditional classics, and Italian sandwiches. On top of that they had chicken shawarma, salads, and a sign that even showed some Mexican food options. While we only went with sandwiches this time, we're definitely going back to try those panuchos. Service was friendly and sandwiches came out fresh as they were made to order. Excited to come back and try more of the menu!"
"Love Gus's but beware that if you choose "toasted" for your sandwich they will only toast the literal bread and leave everything else (meat, cheese) cold. I feel like this is not what "toasted" means anywhere else. You also have to choose "hot" (which is in a different part of the paper order slip) if you want anything else hot. Out $15 for a sandwich I don't even want now"
"Love this place. As a local I find myself coming here pretty regularly. They have an incredible deli, pretty vast selection of groceries that are relatively health conscious. A decent wine, beer, liquor selection. House hold items and utensils even! It's truly a one stop shop! Plus the staff is so warm and welcoming. Shout out to Dennis who is my favorite employee there. But everyone else is really helpful too. So if you're in Nob Hill, take a trip to Le Beau!"
"I dropped in randomly and got their famous tri tip sandwich. It's amazing. The staff is friendly and food is delicious. I'll be back whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Yum."
"Came by to order my kid a pretty basic turkey and cheddar and it was delicious ! The bread was so soft and toasted at the same time. Everything super fresh. The flavor was there the quality is there - even for your basic sandwhich. I also had a cup of their chili and it didnt disaapoint - next time I'll try their frito lay dog ! I'll be back -"
"Sometimes we will come in for coffee and pastries. Sometimes a tuna salad. Sometimes after shopping at nearby Cal's pet supply. I like the bench sitting setup outside because I can sit with my pup. The neighborhood families with kids like to come in for the ice cream/soft serves."
"Very good sandwiches at Calabria Brothers. I had their pastrami sandwich w/Swiss cheese $13 and a roast beef sandwich w/Swiss cheese $13 both on Dutch crunch bread. The bread wasn't that crunchy. That's a sign that the bread is fresh. I asked for everything and tomatoes were not included. Otherwise, it was great."
"One Word: Billy!!!!!Our favorite sandwich maker! When we still lived in the Sunset, a visit to Lucca was almost a daily event.Whether it was last minute beer, or to satisfy my craving for their Italian Combo or Billy's Philly sandwich, we were always greeted with a smile and great customer service.Great location close to GG park for events like Outside Lands and Hardly Strictly. Grab a sandwich and head to the park within minutes!"
"I've been coming to this building for doctors appt the last year and a half and today was my first time stopping for food. I'm so glad I did! It's a cute little cafe located on the first floor by the parking garage entrance. It's a little tight but perfect for a quick bite. The server was so friendly bummed I didn't get his name. The hash brown was cook to perfection- crispy and not soggy or oily. I got a regular coffee with half and half creamer and what I believe was the sutter st combo wrap. I added onion and chipotle mayo. Definitely hit the spot. Price was reasonable for the area. I would for sure come back and try one of their deli sandwiches. Come check them out if you are ever in the area. They also have some grab and go options like cheese and yogurts:)"
"Was in the area for a job, let me just say their sammiches are creative and delicious. I will be coming back for more! Big shout out to the habibi and the amigos. They carry vybes drinks I had only seen them in LA glad to see them in the city!"
"Great service, quality food and ingredients! I love these guys! I order my BLT on Dutch Crunch WITH avocado! So consistent every single time! And they chop the bacon up so it's in every single bite!"
"Came around 1pm on a Monday and it was not busy. Quick service and my sandwich was made quick!Got a toasted balk on Dutch crunch. I did cucumbers tomatoes onions and pepperoncini with oil/vinegar I enjoy sandwiches from here and the service is good!"
"Wow! So I stumbled upon this place from googling deli at the airport and then hopped on a bus to get here and walked in the rain and I would do it all over again! This place is fantastic! I came in and they have everything and anything you could want. The atmosphere is so relaxed and feels like I've been here a million time and it's just my first. Better than the atmosphere is the food I ordered the Vincent B sandwich for sit in. They told me to have a seat as they made it, while waiting the gentleman came over and gave me some of their homemade Italian wedding soup which was delicious. Then my sandwich came and wow, this thing was huge and even came with some Mac salad. After slowly savoring my sandwich I had to try the Mac before I got too full and once I started I could not help but finish it. Needless to say there was no way I could finish this gigantic sandwich and I will be taking an entire half with me."
"Very convenient store for me to walk to for urgent food needs, organic produce, cheese, etc. For a very small grocery, they have a great selection and prefer going here versus Safeway. It can get crowded in the evenings, so time your visit to avoid waiting to check out."
"cute shop in Burlingame! Small with a few seatings but the prices are amazing! While little luccas is still a go to place - i was looking for something less gigantic and it would also be nice to try something new.Found this place but there werent updated menu prices, i even checked out their website and im like...oh man...its going to be like hiked upGot here and to my surprise, the prices were the same as their website, you really cant get anything less than 15$ these days so this was a joy.I really wanted a nice toasted sandwich, so i opted for a pressed sandwich and got myself a safe choice of the BR Chicken - which is chicken, racon, ranch with pepperoncini and swiss on dutch crunch. I added red onions at no extra cost! Was the sandwich the size of a firstborn - no but it was a good size for lunch without food coma (the size of my forearm)And the bread....PERFECTLY crunched, you can definitely do the ASMR with it. It was hot, it was melty, it was pressed! The portion of the ingredients were balanced, not really too much of one or the other and the chicken was sliced pieces so its not one whole breast. The ranch was not super creamy thick so it didnt overpower the cheese. I enjoyed it very much. I do wish they gave me a bit more pepperoncini and onions but thats a preference.2 sandwiches - less than 30$will definitely come back!"
"This place 2 blocks away from my place and boy am I happy to have this market and deli. Of course their prices are higher for basic food so I only come here when I'm too lazy to go to Safeway. It is well stocked. The best part is their deli where you can get delicious over stuffed sandwiches. Perfect location since Golden Gate Park is right next door and Ocean Beach a few blocks down. You can create your own sandwich but I love the Mad Max which is the roast beef sandwich and the New Yorker which is the pastrami sandwich. Their sandwiches are huge so I have half for lunch and half for dinner. Fresh ingredients and well made I'm so glad this place is a stones throw away from me! Staff is really friendly and always accommodating and they are dog friendly. They even put water outside for thirsty pups. In my book that is 5 stars!"
"Solid neighborhood sandwhich shop. They are always friendly, but usually quite busy, I usually get either a turkey bacon, or a reuben on Dutch crunch. Big sandwiches! Good ingredients."
"Really nice little sandwich shop oasis in a busy but tougher neighborhood. The ingredients were high quality and super fresh. It reminds me of the early days of Ike's when they had their small shop in the Castro. The guy running the show here seems on his game and everything is well organized for in person or pickup. Espresso drinks and coffee available too! Easily walkable from CPMC Hospital as well."
"Living in the mission it's hard to believe that pupusas elsewhere can be anywhere near as good as what I have nearby. This place is super unassuming but the people are nice and they have some of the best pupusas around! And they give you basically unlimited curtido and salsa!!Also, I know it's a "pupuseria" but definitely don't sleep on the tamales. The masa is super well seasoned and flavorful that it's tasty regardless of what filling is inside."
"My visit to Caffe Stellato left me pleasantly surprised with its fresh and flavorful offerings. Opting for the petto di pollo sandwich, I found the combination of ingredients on Dutch crunch bread to be a delightful combination of textures and flavors. However, the only downside was the lack of meat, leaving me craving for more.In addition to the sandwich, I indulged in some snacks, including truffle potato chips and a bag of chamoy flavored dry freeze Skittles, which added a unique twist to the dining experience. While the portion of meat in the sandwich was lacking, the overall quality and taste were impressive, leaving me eager to return and sample other popular sandwiches on the menu.Overall, Caffe Stellato offers a promising culinary experience with fresh ingredients and flavorful combinations, making it a destination worth revisiting for more delicious sandwiches and snacks."
"Absolutely incredible, amazing sandwiches (and every other superlative you can tack on).I don't know how I missed this gem for the 20 years it's been in the lower Haight but I'm hooked. You can build your own sandwich or order off the menu. I had the brie & Virginia ham sandwich on a soft roll with pea shoots (ultra fresh and crunchy greens) and a large Liver Lover juice ($7, beet juice, carrot, lemon and celery.)My son had a delicious pastrami sandwich and a large smoothie (The Twanger) that was out of this world: pineapple, mango, vanilla yogurt, peach and orange juice, $7.25.Most thoughtful was the owner putting the smoothie in the freezer as I was maddeningly detained at Whole Paycheck. Estela's is now on my circuit. If you haven't been, go there for a sandwich, salad, juice or smoothie - or have it delivered."
