"A solid bite to eat! Service was quick and the food was cozy. The style of pan Asian fusion is always hard for me to love-love, but it was overall tasty. The curry udon with tofu was good and would get it again if I was in the mood."
"A few friends and I went to Saint Franks on a Monday holiday and had an overall pleasant experience! The ambiance allowed folks to work, or sit and chat with a friend. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The baristas were incredibly efficient and kind. The chocolate croissant was a must!"

"I just tried the churro croissant. the crust was perfectly flakey, the top of the croissant was sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon, and it was lightly filled with a creamy/fluffy filling. I would definitely recommend. I can't wait to go back and try more bakery items. The bakery has a few small tables inside and outside, but not many."
"I am in town visiting for a few days and searched Yelp for a good coffee spot to try before walking the Golden Gate Bridge. Home Coffee Roasters came up as one of the highest and most rated (4.5 stars & ~850 reviews) shops in the area. The shop is pretty cute overall with standard coffee shop seating and beans and other knick knacks for sale. I ordered a cappuccino and my girlfriend had the London fog latte. The London fog was fairly good, with a strong tea note and sweetened nicely. The cappuccino was quite the disappointment - the espresso tasted burnt with no other flavors to note. Disappointing that a burnt cap is what you get for $5.50. If you're in the mood for tea, come here. If you want good coffee, maybe look elsewhere."
""Absolutely amazing food! It was super busy, but the wait was well worth it. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The burrito was delicious, the fresh orange juice was perfect, and the chipotle sauce was to die for! You've got to come and try it for yourself--you won't be disappointed!""
"i love this place so much their donuts are bomb af i see a box from this place at work and my day is made fr"
"Stumbling upon XOX Truffles while meandering down the street was a serendipitous delight. This charming, practically hidden gem, instantly drew me in with the smell of chocolate and coffee. And oh, am I glad it did!XOX Truffles is a haven for chocolate enthusiasts. With every truffle I've tasted here, and I've indulged in every single variety they offer, the experience has been nothing short of extraordinary. These truffles aren't just delicious; they're an exploration of intriguing and fun flavors, each a testament to the art of fine chocolate making. I always grab a coffee when I go by here, if for no other reason than to snag the free truffle you get with every coffee. The coffee complements the truffles wonderfully, but that free truffle is a delicious trap, as I've never just gotten one truffle on my visits to XOX. The place is quite small, tucked into a tiny little store front, but the staff is incredibly welcoming. You will often find the owner behind the counter. He is both charming and knowledgeable on all things chocolate. This little shop is a must visit destination for any chocolate lover."
"Cute little shop. They have a few small tables in the back. The service is pretty quick. Drinks are delicious. I hope they start offering different sizes."
"A delicious little spot nestled amongst the hustle and bustle of Fisherman's Wharf. I came here twice during my short stay in San Francisco, it was simply that delicious. The staff were kind and the service was quick, 10/10, do recommend!"
"BEST BAKERY I know of anywhere. I've been coming here since they opened, countless times now, and every time I enjoy seeing all the bakers hard at work! Really cool that the kitchen isn't hidden and we get to see the skills that go into the amazing food. And amazing it really is. No joke, everytime I give someone food from this place they smile, and there is a lot of variety to choose from (unless you come late). They also make items that you will never find elsewhere like the captain crunch or krazy cookies. It's obvious to see the passion they have for the food they make.Only downside is the line gets long, especially on the weekends ... but it never takes too long and it's well worth the wait (if there is one). Especially since the staff are friendly and some of the ones that have worked there the longest are the sweetest and so warm"
"Came here with my friend after a lunch/brunch! We walked past the place on our way to the restaurant, and we came on our way back to the ferry. The ambiance is nice, but the seating is limited indoors and there is a bit more outdoors. The service was good, and my friend and I were able to try a few flavors!I got the Cookie Monster ice cream flavor (single scoop in a cup). I would give this a 10/10 because I was surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did. The color is a bit offsetting at first but the taste is wonderful :)I also tried my friend's strawberry ice cream, and it was very refreshing and creamy with a nice strawberry flavor :)"
"Despite the Cupertino location going viral, the San Jose location is actually the original that I have been going to since high school. Izumi Matcha is one of my favorite matcha places in the South Bay! They use my favorite Matcha, marukyu koyamaen, which they also sell - though it is typically sold out. My favorite drinks here are the honey matcha latte and yuzu matcha. The honey matcha latte is solid all around, and the yuzu matcha is perfect for hot days as it is refreshing and citrusy. A plus about this matcha place is they also provide the option for a free additional matcha shot if you like your matcha strong. I also get less sweetness and less ice. There is no sweetness adjustment for the creme brulee matcha which is personally a little too heavy and sweet for me if you also have the same preferences. Last time I was here, I stopped by after dinner on a Monday, a small line started to form, but the staff seemed well prepared for rush and service was relatively fast. The ambience here is fine - I have heard a wide range of different music genres here that is probably based on staff. I give this location 4/5 though because going to both San Jose and Cupertino locations, however, I personally found the quality of the San Jose location's drinks to be slightly lower than the Cupertino location. I'm not sure why since this is the original location but it's been hit or miss. That being said, the San Jose location is also much less crowded so there typically isn't a big wait time. I like how there is seating at the San Jose so you're able to sit down and hang out with your friends here, which isn't available in the Cupertino location. The San Jose location seems to also have more items on the menu such as taiyaki. Both the SJ and Cupertino have ordering via a kiosk and their own 8% cashback loyalty program when purchasing with your number"

FOOD their Szechuan chicken is yummy! Their ingredients tasted clean and fresh. I'd like to come back and try their other dishes. You order at the register then go sit down. INSIDE is bright and clean feeling. Parking can be tough as it is in San Francisco especially with the new pedestrian parking law where you can't park within 20 feet of a crosswalk. They're located at a corner too so parking right in front will be impossible with the new parking law.

Spent the day acting as a tour guide for family visiting the city. This was by far their favorite coffee spot! They spent almost two weeks here and raved about the quality and smoothness of Saint Frank coffee until the day they left. It was a beautiful day so we all sat outside to enjoy the weather and our little pick-me-up's. Came in with five people and the barista took some extra time explaining the drinks and what he would recommend to us. * just FYI- their Menlo Park location is just as good*

Stopped by La Boulangerie with a friend for coffee and eats.We had a few of the pastries, but the ham and cheese croissant was the one I enjoyed the most. I had a cold brew as well which was good. Some seating inside. Back seating is very hot with all the machinery. There are a few tables outside as well.Street parking only.

Home Coffee is consistent with all their locations. This one is walking distance from me and is a good spot to get work done. Coffee is good across the board, there are seats available and wifi available. Grab a bite and a drink here! It's so fun when the sun is out and you want to just hang out or get work done. Order at the kiosk or at the counter. Staff is always so warm and welcoming!

Updating my review. Il Canto is often featured in lists regarding the best breakfast burritos in SF. This is a popular delivery spot, but I finally went in-person. It's located in the FiDi and there's no indoor seating, but there's a few outdoor tables next door, a few parks nearby, as well as the Ferry Building. They do a great takeout business--there were lots of Doordash motorcyclists waiting outside. Next time, we will call ahead of time to pickup so it's ready when we get there. They are efficient--they have to be, they're so popular. Service is good and quick--we only waited 10 minutes, which is what they said. Review is updated to be 5 stars because that breakfast burrito is better hot in-person than delivered (and it's pretty dang good delivered.) Lots of meat, good flavor, grilled burrito, delicious chipotle sauce, good avocado, and lots of eggs (2, but seemed like more than other breakfast burritos I've had.) Honestly, it's a good value compared to what I've paid for other (very. good) breakfast burritos in SF. Coffees are also good.

Donuts are delicious but their packaging needs some intense work. They put a lot of the donuts on their side and the maple icing actually melted off into the bottom of the box. Very disappointing.

A Sweet Escape in North BeachEven though I am not a big chocolate fan, I have been a happy customer of XOX Truffles for years. I love their truffles and coffee. This small, sweet shop is one of my favorite places in North Beach, San Francisco.Jean-Marc Gorce, the owner and main truffle maker, is very friendly and takes great care of his customers. His love for chocolate began in his childhood. He and his brother Ludvic would always search their home for their mother's hidden sweets, sometimes even mischievously blaming each other when caught. This childhood passion led him to a lifelong dedication to creating fine and delicious truffles. At XOX Truffles, Jean-Marc combines his mother's classic recipe with his own unique flavors, creating various delights for everyone to enjoy. The truffles here are amazing. Each one is a perfect mix of rich chocolate and creative flavors, showing Jean-Marc's skill and love for his work. Whether you like classic flavors or want to try something new, XOX Truffles has over twenty different kinds to choose from. One of my personal favorites is the raspberry flavor. The coffee at XOX is also wonderful, making it a perfect place for a cozy afternoon. The friendly atmosphere and personal touch from the boss and his staff make every visit pleasant. I highly recommend XOX Truffles to anyone looking for a great chocolate experience in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood.Oh, by the way, with every coffee, you get your choice of a bonus truffle. So, what are you waiting for?!

PRO-TIP: Order off of the SnackPass app and just pick it up in shop! Or you can just order from the kiosk. I came here on a Tuesday around lunch time, ordered off of SnackPass and took less than 10 minutes as I was waiting in line in the sandwich shop in the same plaza. I got the Peach Oolong Lemon Tea at 75% sweet. They use real lemon slices in the drink, so there will be a bit of pulp if it gets loose or seeds. A bit more tart than what I would have liked, surprisingly at 75%. Peach taste was much more subtle, but overall the drink was pretty refreshing on a warmer afternoon.

"Nook has recently reopened after some renovating, and it's come back better than ever! It's a beautiful open space with fresh air and lots of sunlight. Since it's on the corner of Hyde and Jackson you get the genuine SF ambiance of cable cars passing and the beautiful neighborhood trees. They are open again for coffee with breakfast toasts, and also for dinner with a new menu and delicious wine. So nice to see you back at it!"
"I've never been a fan of tuna sandwiches for some reason, despite being a seafood lover. But this morning I woke up determined to find a tuna sandwich out here in SF that I might like, something more refined than what mom used to make at home (kind of bland, blah). My husband suggested that I might like warm toasty tuna melts rather than yesteryear's sad, cold, cheeseless tuna sammies, so I jumped on Uber Eats to find one that sounded like it could be a cut above the usual.Actually, what got me to look up Atlas was that someone recommended them on a thread in the AskSF subreddit. When I saw some unique ingredients in their tuna melt (like currant and citrus mayo) and that I could add Emmenthaler cheese for even more melty goodness and fanciness, I felt this was the one to try. Got it delivered.Love at first bite! I bet it would be even tastier next time with kalamata olives for more mediterranean flair and a little more acid. The sandwich also looked extra tasty since it was lightly panini-pressed looking, giving it a satisfying, buttery crunch and a light sourdough tang.Later I tried a totally different tuna melt from a different restaurant. It was out of balance -- WAY too much pickle and WAY too much mustard, and no complexity. Atlas's interpretation was far better - complex and refined but harmonious. Not words you usually think of when you think of tuna melts. If you're a tuna melt person, you might find this one to be next level. Give it a try at Atlas! I can't wait to get it again and experiment with more interesting toppings."
"Met up with a friend in the Inner Richmond and she suggested this neighborhood coffee shop. The restaurant has menu tables inside and a patio area out front at and 9:30 on a Saturday morning it was about a third full. The menu board has beverages of smoothies, juices, coffees and teas and for food, breakfast items, bagels, salads, sandwiches and small eats. For those wanting alcoholic beverages, they offer beer and wines.I got a California Wrap, a grilled flour tortilla with lox, steamed eggs, cream cheese, capers and avocado and it came with a cup of fruit. It was a tasty breakfast sandwich with a good amount of lox. I also got a cup of house hazelnut coffee. The restaurant always got a good amount of customers and it got up to about three-quarter full the time we were there. A nice neighborhood coffee shop."
"I went here for the first time to meet a friend and had a wonderful experience. Fantastic coffee shop experience with a great beach town vibe.Although the weather was cool and foggy, nothing could spoil the great time sitting outside observing surfers, dogs, and locals alike.I had a pour over (medium roast) with the steel cut oats. The coffee was so perfectly balanced, not bitter, and just right, I didn't need cream or sugar. The oats were amazing. So perfectly textured and creamy, with a nutty flavor. I thought they had made it with heavy cream. I was astounded to learn they hadn't. Fantastic experience, def. try it if you get the chance. Everything that went by our table, from omlettes to salads, looked delicious. I can't wait to try the other goodies on the menu."
"This tea shop is simply delicious. The shop is very inviting and warm, great for a tea date or catching up with an old friend. The pure iced hojicha green tea was light, refreshing, with just the right amount of roasted flavor. The staff was also very friendly and helpful in answering any questions we had about the best way to brew the loose tea leaf bag we purchased (this also comes with a complementary ptea drink). Will definitely visit here again!"
"You can smell this store before you even enter (in a good way). This cute little dessert shop has some great options for you and your friends. There's seating inside and out. The service is quick on a Thursday night around 9pm! Get the mango bingsoo and salted egg anything!"
"When looking up Delah locations in SF to meet a friend for some Yemeni lattes, I noticed my Yelp review was featured on the FiDi location in Apple maps. Whoops! That review was totally meant for the SoMa location, which I visited first, so here goes. The service was so friendly here, and it felt like a lively, welcoming space with many people still working or catching up here late on a weekday night. I ordered a small hot Adeni chai latte with oat milk for takeout along with a coconut pomegranate Turkish delight. The Adeni Chai was smooth, lightly creamy, and not too sweet. The Turkish delight was thick, chewy, and delicious. I'm so glad I discovered this place for perfect chai lattes and treats and a thriving work-from-café culture."
"Great bfast spot. I tried the turkey sandwich, which really hit the spot after a night out. Husband had the waffles, which he devoured. Joy's is cute, clean, and offers fast service."
"I've heard about this place for several years but only got to try it recently. I was feeling overwhelmed with all the options available and ended up consulting the cashier for recommendations. After asking me what my preferences were, he recommended me the Pistachio Jasmine Dream (seasonal drink), which I got with oat milk (no additional cost!), less ice, and less sugar. Boy, was it a good recommendation! I love it when I can taste the tea flavor in my drinks, and I could definitely taste the jasmine and the floral hints in this one!! The pistachio cream was also delicious, and gave the drink some creaminess and a hint of nuttiness.I've heard that this place is sometimes not consistent with their drinks, but I personally had a great experience when I visited! There's ample seating inside and the interior aesthetic is clean, warm, and modern -- perfect for studying or catching up with friends!"
"Been coming here for years. A lot of care is put into the dishes, not just the taste or portions, but the presentation as well. Had something new this time, the chicken pasta salad, was excellent as expected! Also the owner/chef is one of the most gracious people you'll find in the city. Great spot!"
"I love YakiniQ and especially their matcha pie/cake. They have the best matcha ....I just can't get enough of their matcha. Try this matcha drink at Yakiniq. It's a dream..come true. I can't wait to return. Did I say "matcha" enough times...probably not!!! I have to have more matcha, people !!!! (smile...)The picture is from YakiniQ Facebook."
"We ordered an iced mocha, green berets smoothie, banana chocolate walnut bread, ultimate breakfast sandwich with ham, and croissant sandwich with egg, bacon, and cheese (minus the sauce). Everything was made to order, the taste of mocha strong in the coffee beverage, great banana flavor in the smoothie, the sandwiches with ample ingredients and delish, and the banana walnut bread full of chocolatey goodness in every bite. This sweet and crumbly slice of bread was served right away, from the display case. And the wait for the rest of our order was 20 minutes, which isn't bad for New Year's Day, at least they were open during the holiday. Seating wasn't hard to find, both indoors and outside, even with the place being tiny. And staff was professional and friendly, and apologetic about the wait time."
"It's been a while since we are here, still great atmosphere and quality! Love traditional HK style desserts~"
"If you're in the heart of Burlingame avenue, Caffe Central is a must visit spot! That definitely holds its weight when it comes to delicious food. It offers something for everyone with their variety of breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. Not to mention their irresistible selection of pastries. I got the breakfast bowl after spotting it while walking past the restaurant and every bite was satisfying. Plenty of shops around to walk to after that add the overall experience. I'll definitely be back to try more of their offerings. Giving it a 4/5 only simply because the service could have been just a tiny bit better but it seemed to be a younger staff so I wasn't too worried."
"I bite into a pillowy jelly donut, its sugar glaze cracking and feel the pop of wild blueberries as they burst in my mouth. Delicious...Edge to edge, the inside of this donut is bursting with at least a 1/4 cup of delicious fruit preserves. You may never have had a jelly donut as good! Their sandwiches are great, made to order, the coffee will have your eyebrows arch ("Man, that's a great cup of coffee!)It's clean, the staff is pleasant and organized, prices are reasonable. I don't know how they put together everything so quickly and ring you up. One of my favorite businesses in San Francisco, try it!"
"Great place & amazing customer service. The food was awesome, we got breakfast & their coffee was super fresh. I got the breakfast sandwich and was able to share it. The place is a decent size, your typical SF restaurant, they do accommodate big parties- and you are able to sit outside. They also hooked us up on the mimosa!"
"I found this place when I moved into the neighborhood about 3 years ago and I just love it! It's my go to for yummy bagels! They're reasonably priced and the staff are so sweet and friendly too!"
"A Hidden Gem for Coffee Lovers! We stumbled upon this place while craving coffee after a heavy meal at another restaurant in Palo Alto. Tucked away in a cozy spot, it's accessible through an 'Insta-friendly' walkway between two beautifully painted mural walls--a hidden gem in every sense. At first, I assumed it was one of those trendy spots that people flock to more for the aesthetics than the actual coffee. But I couldn't have been more wrong. Our group ordered a variety of drinks, and everyone loved what they got. The service was friendly and prompt, and to our surprise, there was plenty of seating. While their signature brews feature some unique craft coffee blends, I went with a classic cappuccino--and it did not disappoint. Bold, flavorful, and beautifully presented, it was everything I hoped for.I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!"
"Can't believe I haven't submitted a review for Chalos to date. Chalos have the most delicious empanadas which have become a regular delivery staple in our household (spicy beef and ham & cheese are firm favorites). The food is consistently excellent, the presentation great, and the coffee is some of the best in the area. Highly recommended."
"The shop is small, but well kept and clean. They are located inside the Arco gas station.I ordered the flamin hot popcorn chicken with cream cheese sauce. The flamin hot Cheetos flavor is subtle. The batter was crunchy and the flamin hot Cheetos gave it extra texture. Chicken itself was well flavored and tender.I also ordered the heavy roasted oolong. It was alright. Next time I'd try something with flavor or a milk tea.Super friendly service, the girl at the register was really nice. She asked if I wanted the cream cheese sauce with the popcorn chicken and if I wanted any toppings or customizations to my drink. I also appreciated that they told me the popcorn chicken would take 10-15 minutes. Will come back to try other snacks and drinks!"
"While on a business trip in San Francisco, I stumbled upon Heist in the Lower Nob Hill | Union Square district. I found a bustling, high-paced scene, in which hunger was being robbed from a crowd of patrons by a highly-skilled team of restaurateurs serving up outstanding, homemade delicious food and drink options.I managed to score a single counter seat on a Saturday morning. Make sure you arrive early, as lines form quickly and reservations are first-come, first served. I was greeted by a very friendly woman, who answered all of my questions about the menu in a very polite, albeit speedy, pace given the current scene. Having a front row seat next to the kitchen, I was able to watch dozen of breakfast goodies (burritos, french toast, pancakes, avocado toasts) being whisked out to happy customers waiting for their own delectable loot to arrive. I went with the Heist Breakfast Plate ($24.50), which is 3 scrambled eggs w/cheese, choice of one buttermilk pancake or French toast, home potatoes, secret sauce, & toast. You also get your choice of one: house chorizo, house chicken sausage, or bacon. I went with the recommended French toast and house-made chicken sausage. For my drink, an Espresso, which was hot, wonderfully bold and delicious. About ten minutes later, my reward finally arrived. The plate itself was presented beautifully. A perfect combination of color, textures, savory and sweet, all timed to perfection. I surgically began with the French toast. The brioche bread was amazing, perfectly cooked with an outstanding berry compound butter. The home potatoes were amazing. Flash fried crispy on the outside and wonderfully smooth and soft inside. The addition of the "secret sauce" was also a perfect dipping partner in crime. The eggs were also cooked to perfection and the cheese was a nice accomplice. The house-made chicken sausage was absolutely incredible. A perfect blend of chicken, onions, flavors and seasoning, with the right amount of heat to balance the sweetness of the star French toast. The olive bread was also great - that famous San Francisco sourdough with a little bonus. A treat!Heist is an outstanding addition to the neighborhood. It has a great down-to-earth family-friendly feel, without the "greasy spoon" aspect of a diner. Think elevated diner food in a way that only San Francisco's restaurant scene can deliver. Prices are on par with everything in San Francisco, and the quality is among the best. A few outdoor seats, along with room for about 40-50 guests inside. The bathroom is a small, all-gender WC, kept very clean. I highly recommend a Heist stop next time you are in San Francisco to score some amazing food, friendly ambiance and great downtown energy."
"Have a pleasure, enjoying my coffee and my scone at this place, but what Most stood up to me when I asked for a charger, both of the employees who went above and beyond to find the cable and the charger that I need and make sure that I'm comfortable and good"
