"I've been wanting to try this popular sandwich store for quite a while after reading about their original location on Geary Blvd. It's ironic that this one is near my high school and a neighborhood favorite sandwich shop in those days (Herb's Deli - RIP).I've driven by a number of times and stopped once after running errands but there was a line and it was a work day. After hearing that they opened another location closer to home, I waited until now, making a point on a Sunday morning, to finally try them. I studied the menu the previous day and couldn't decide whether to get a hot or cold sandwich. My decision? Both...Arriving here a little before their open time, I found a parking space on the opposite east corner on 25th Avenue. Since it was Sunday, the meter didn't require me to pay. Though I was worried as the space was plush to the pedestrian crosswalk.Walking in, there was a seated lady waiting for her order and two guys at the counter placing their order as I scanned the store. There were sidewalk tables, but being a typical Sunset District overcast morning, it was more comfortable inside. Seeing the soup special sign, I wasn't enamored with tomato basil soup today; I later saw another sign further back stating that New England clam chowder is available daily so I ordered a cup which came with a slice of garlic cheese bread (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=yV6WxNjqVHvamvwCibUc3Q). I brought everything home and started with the soup. It was still warm and on the thicker side but filed with mostly potatoes and chopped clams. I then ate the smaller half of each sandwich starting with the Italian. The roll was soft as described and the combination of the ingredients made this enjoyable with a slight kick from the jalapeno spread. Unlike the popular Italian or craft delis that I frequent near my workplace,the sandwiches are about the combination of ingredients, the garnishes, and the bread. Where some are about piling the meats and making their own bread and meats, these are more standard with a balance of meats, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions. The lady at the counter was very friendly and cheerful in greeting and helping customers as I watched a team of three people who put the sandwiches together.Most customers, like me, took their food to go except a father and son who dined a few tables behind where I waited for my order.There is a good selection of refrigerated drinks and potato chip bags as well as a freezer with ice cream bars. I will return and try other sandwiches on their menu."

"My family and I were walking around Stanford Shopping Center one weekend morning when my mom wanted a snack. My family loves pastries and we saw a line for La Baguette, so we went inside to see for ourselves. The inside of the store is too compact for seating, but you will see a good amount of tables, chairs, and umbrellas just outside the store in the middle of the large walking space. La Baguette had two large displays, one with cakes and cake slices, another with the baked goods and a few sandwiches. We paid at the counter and asked for our croissants to be heated, so we were given a number and instructed to wait outside for our order to be called. We bought two croissants, one plain and one filled with ham and cheese. Both were ginormous and thus perfect to split among four people. The staff conveniently split them in half without us asking. They were sooooo crispy and flaky that they're impossible to eat without getting crumbs all over. The texture inside was really soft, not the generally dense texture my average croissants are from all the butter. We had a good amount of ham and cheese in ours, and you get a thin layer of cheese crust on top of the croissant itself. Overall, La Baguette is a great pit stop for our morning in the area. I thought about getting the sandwiches, but they looked heavy on the bread and light on the filling. I will probably stick to their croissants!"

The hospitality made it feel we had come often . It became obvious they had a stream of repeat locals who knew each other by name. Cheese plate was fantastic. Bread was soft, warm, and tasty. And we didn't have to ask for more bread. Margarita pizza was also a winner. But the real surprise was their cheesecake with a blueberry topping. Perfection."

I ordered a latte and 2 egg sandos.The latte was 5/5Egg Sando 5/5Although it does not compare to Japans egg sando this one has its own unique flare which is why I highly recommend trying it for yourself.You must eat it fresh as I don't think it hits right if you wait longer than 30min. The bread is soft and the egg melts into your mouth. I think due to Ca egg shortage - pricing is $$. I won't dock points for that but it was a bit $$.Worth it! Yes! Craving family mart egg sando - well this is the closest you'll get till your next trip! In the mood to try something new/ then I highly recommend.Okay enough about egg sando! They have so many other options I have yet to try and will be coming back to make an update on the rest of their menu!"

"This cafe is a great choice for me simply because of all of the options. If you feel like breakfast, lunch, or dinner, they got it covered. The breakfast options are great, comes in large portions, and is cooked well. There is a back patio to sit in, an inside area, and a few tables outside in front, so there is almost always a place to sit. It gets a little spotty when it comes to service. You take a number to your table and then they bring the food and drinks to you. With this style of service you can easily get forgotten. They may never come refill your water, and used tables can get left unwiped or uncleaned. There are bussing tubs out back, so sometimes customers will put their own dishes in those tubs. So essentially we bus our own tables, and have to ask for refills, or more napkins, or anything like that. They're not really smiley welcoming staff, which is kind of a bummer since it's essentially a brunch place (yes they service champagne). The prices are also high, so I would like to get more table service since we're paying high prices like a place that has waiters. They're dependable and the food is good. I even ordered a cappuccino and it was excellent. It does is purpose, but still has room for improvement."

"Why is this place not busier?!South Beach Cafe feels like a hidden gem. On our walk to watch the Giants at Oracle Park, we had some time to kill and were in the mood for coffee. South Beach Cafe is conveniently located on the long walk from the BART station to Oracle Park. Upon entering, there were only a couple of patrons eating & drinking. Otherwise, it was very lowkey and quiet. The lady (I wish I got her name) immediately greeted us and helped us with our order. I love the ambiance. It's quiet, cool and chill. She made our order right away; we literally had two specialty drinks whipped up in like a minute. There's only one size, which I'd consider a medium. What really shocked me was the pricing. Everything is so expensive these days. It was under $10 for two specialty drinks! Wow, I expected to spend closer to $20 when entering. I don't know how they're doing it with such low pricing but we need to support cafe's like this who have not increased their pricing.I highly recommend South Beach Cafe. If you enjoy walking the boulevard, you can quickly grab drinks and continue on your nice walk I plan on coming back and eating next time."

The menu had a lot of standard sandwiches and bagel options in addition to a good amount of unique combinations that we've never thought would go together. We decided to venture out and order the Point Reyes bagel which had a complimentary combination of cream cheese, red onions, cucumber, tomatoes, with a guest appearance of pastrami. Never had this combo before and was certainly curious. Presentation was great, nice arrangement of colors, all the toppings were distributed evenly and looked very appetizing. Once I took the first bite - I was in awe on how delicious this combination was. Even better, the bagel was one of the best I've ever had, period. Good sized, crunchy on the outside, light and soft on the inside. Each bite had a combination of freshness, creaminess and protein and saltiness from the pastrami.I highly recommend checking out this place for breakfast/lunch. I will definitely be back to try their other bagels and sandwiches. Their coffee is awesome too. The associate made on coffee on the spot while we ordered at the register. This place is a must go!"

It's a cute little cafe located on the first floor by the parking garage entrance. It's a little tight but perfect for a quick bite. The server was so friendly bummed I didn't get his name. The hash brown was cook to perfection- crispy and not soggy or oily. I got a regular coffee with half and half creamer and what I believe was the sutter st combo wrap. I added onion and chipotle mayo. Definitely hit the spot. Price was reasonable for the area. I would for sure come back and try one of their deli sandwiches. Come check them out if you are ever in the area. They also have some grab and go options like cheese and yogurts:)"

My latte was delicious and had just the right amount of sweetness for me with the condensed milk.The food was delicious!! We ordered the barn burner and the avocado bacon toast. The barn burner came with waffles, bacon, and sunny side eggs. The eggs itself were really oily. The bacon was thinly sliced and super crunchy. The waffles were sooo good- very moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Avocado toast and bacon was also delicious with the arugula. It was a generous portion and tasty.This place had a cute and cozy vibe for brunch. My husband and I even did a hot chocolate crawl throughout the East Bay with a rating system of different core elements we were looking for in the perfect cup. I must say as soon as I thought I was going to throw in the towel, I found what I had been searching for my entire pregnancy and it wasn't in the form of a hot chocolate, rather in the form of a "frozen" hot chocolate. With "cocoa nib" whipped cream, this is, and was, everything. In my honest opinion, the best in the bay! To be fair, we did try the house hot chocolate as well to check it off our box ~ creamy yet smooth, rich but not too sweet, robust but not complex. Ahhh, I can tasteit now!I tried this at the Ferry Building grab and go location..with the holidays coming up, I can't wait to get back there to keep a new tradition going. With a few other larger spots around SF (factory on 16th), I can't wait to explore more of their menu like the Banana Chocolate Milk, S'more (marshmallow is toasted upon order), Chocolate Chip Cookie, and Canele. I hid the cookie pastry bag in my purse and gave my kid her ham and egg croissant first. So, she ate her egg and left everything else and started digging into my purse for buried treasure. Of course, I'm a helicopter mom so I caught her on time before she stuffed her face with MY cookie. (that's right, it's my cookie, not hers. LOL) She grumpily finished the rest of her croissant with the promise of getting SOME part of the cookie. Meanwhile, like a responsible adult, I happily chowed down on my nuts and seeds salad. If that doesn't fill you up, order a couple of sides. Their tomato bisque is wonderfully tart and savory and the brussel sprouts are perfection. Also, don't sleep on their porchetta sandwich! I had it awhile back and while it may not rival Roli Roti's version, it beats going down to the Ferry Building and standing in line for that."

I went on a Monday morning and it was fairly busy (every other table was filled and there was a line) but the drinks and food came out pretty quickly! I ordered the country fried steak and it was cooked perfectly. Unlike other restaurants, the amount of gravy on top was the perfect ratio for each bite as it was still crunchy and warm, rather than soggy and drenched. I asked for fried over easy eggs but they came out a bit more on the medium side, however, it was still pretty good. The hashbrown was fluffy yet super crispy at the same time. I enjoyed eating it with ketchup or with a piece of the eggs to balance out the textures. I also ordered the freshly squeezed orange juice and had no regrets - absolutely refreshing. My friend ordered the banana foster and she said it was good and that she really enjoyed the cinnamon butter they added."

Each piece of the monkey bread breaks off into little small bite sized nuggets covered in the perfect mix of caramelized butter and sugar. Pop one in your mouth and be ready to be in pastry heaven. I believe they have other options, but the fruit lattes are what they're known for.I got the dragonfruit latte with oat milk. It was enjoyable I guess. It was just like a regular latte and you just have some dragonfruit as an after bite (kinda like as if it were a boba topping). It didn't have added sugar, which I did appreciate. The main thing that bothered me was that the coffee was not strong at all. I barely felt it.I might be back to try other flavors. I took a sip of my friend's durian and it was kind of bitter. My aunt raves about the mango latte which I may try next."

I want to try some of the breakfast menu items, but I keep coming back to the medames because I come here specifically for it. The amazing dish (fava beans cooked, blended and mixed with fragrant middle eastern spices served warm, with some fresh chopped onions, greens, tomatoes and crumbled feta to garnish) is made with nothing less than pure love by the sweet and amazing woman cooking near the front entrance. It's served with a side of warm, crusty whole grain roll for mopping up every delectable morsel. Think of it as a healthier, vegan middle eastern version of chili. It is so simple, yet so delicious and hearty, and soul-satisfying. So good for a nice, healthy lunch and at around 12$, pretty affordable as well. It is also very hard to find on menus here - only a handful of restaurants in the city serve some form of it.Coffee (drip) is also delicious! Can't speak for the espresso yet, but they have a nice looking machine and grind the beans fresh, so definitely gonna try that soon."
