Ambiance- 5/5, quick service, no wait, consistent water refills, gave food recommendations, clean restaurant, nice decorations! Food- Every dish is fairly large & perfect to share as family style food. The tea leaf salad is a must, I think that is a dish that I would come back for. The rest of the dishes are good burmese style food, with lots of flavor (extra garlicky which I like), but nothing I would say I'd ever have a craving to come back for. I was surprised to e garlic noodles was with thin noodles rather than thick noodles. I prefer garlic noodles thick, but the thin noodles does feel lighter so I could eat more. Price- It was in total $80 for 3 dishes, and it fed 3 females with leftovers. This meant it was around $29 per person after tip, which is pretty typical for a nice sit down restaurant in SF. It isn't cheap, but the food presentation & ambiance are part of the price.

I've heard great things about Burma Love for a while and finally tried it recently. Unfortunately, their food did not impress.I tried the tea leaf salad, and mint chicken stir fry. Neither dish tastes good to me. The tea leaf dressing tasted strange, not as good as I remembered from other places. The mint chicken was so dry. Service was fine, but the meal was expensive. I'm glad I tried it, but unfortunately it's not my cup of tea.

Can't believe it's taken me this long to try Burma Love!! My team and a few community partners were on a site-visit and decided to get lunch together. This place was recommended by everyone since it was so good and I can see why.Someone mentioned they tried their location in Oakland, and it was just as a good. We were seated immediately as the restaurant was not full, but it was busy.My table ended up ordering the following to share + my main dish:-Appetizer Sampler (sharable)-Tea Leaf Salad (sharable)-Pumpkin Pork Stew (my main dish)-1 side of coconut rice (my main dish)**my table did order 1 main dish for themselves, but I do not remember what everyone ordered**REVIEW OF FOOD:-Pumpkin Pork Stew: I got this recommendation from my Supervisor and I can see why she likes it so much. It's so PACKED full of flavor. The pork itself was very tender, the pumpkin was slightly sweet with a sweet and savory broth. The coconut rice I had with it paired so beautifully together. It was SUCH a great pleasure to eat this. 5/5-Appetizer Sampler: I was able to try the calamari, the skillet shrimp, the platha and dip, and samusas!GOOD LORD everything was SO good and fried to perfection. The Platha and Dip reminded me of Roti and Curry, however the Platha was more flaky and airy. The calamari and shrimp were fried beautifully and the sauces paired with these were delicious! The samusas themselves were super good as well!! Such a great balance of spice and bold flavors for such a small bite.-Tea Leaf Salad: This was delicious! The salad itself was savory and slightly bitter, and you get crunchy bits of garlic that was delicious. This was very light and nice to start off the meal with.I can see why folks in SF love Burma Love because I've been converted. Definitely will be in the rotation for sure!!

Craving Burmese food? Look no further, this is the spot on Valencia Street! I came here for dinner on a Friday night and had the absolute BEST Burmese food! When we arrived, the place was popping and the host said that it would be about a 25 minute wait, but luckily we got a table for two in about 10 minutes. We started off with some samusas. The order comes with six samusas and a spicy sauce, which added a great flavor. We also ordered the mango chicken and the spicy noodles. Everything was SO incredibly delicious. We loved it so much that we ordered takeout the following week. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is spacious and has plenty of space for big and small parties. Highly recommend Burma Love for a special dinner, takeout, or delivery.

Great ambience and our first time at Burma love which we came to for Valentine's Day. We had an array of dishes including salad, tofu, and we also had this thin tortilla dish thing with a chicken dip. It was really good and I love the ambience!

The food at Burma Love was so incredibly delicious that I wanted to try everything! I visited for dinner on a weekday, and it was beyond packed. However, the service was super efficient. My water was constantly being refilled, and the waiters explained every dish that was served. If you're looking for a place with a calm environment, this is probably not going to be the best option. When I first arrived, it wasn't too busy, but later in the night, every table was being used. It was incredibly loud since the restaurant was filled with huge parties of people. Almost every dish I ordered was phenomenal. I visited in time for happy hour, so I tried so many spectacular appetizers. The honey glazed chicken wings, piping hot platha with dip, and crispy salt & pepper calamari perfectly hit the spot. This restaurant had the best calamari I've ever eaten. The tea leaf salad was delicious, as expected. I will say the garlic noodles had a very faint garlic taste - I wish I could have tasted the garlic more, so this dish was a skip for me. The pumpkin pork stew was a solid main. Both the pumpkin and pork were cooked to perfection. The dish paired well with coconut rice. The eggplant and daikon curry was another delicious main, with soft eggplant and a flavorful red curry. All the drinks that I tried were quite good as well: the ginger tea, cider, and milk tea.I am looking forward to my next visit! The calamari, platha & dip, and pumpkin pork stew were standouts.

The ambiance for this location has nice vibes, great for group dinners! It gets pretty busy so better to make a reservation if you can. The food is always consistent and tasty. Love the tea leaf salad!
