Came here a few mos back and the wok wasn't working so no hot food. Had a few cocktails at the bar and left. It's 2025 and I'm back! Made a ressie- quickly seated and received the BEST SERVICE FROM A N G ! She's friendly, attentive, responsive and thorough without being over bearing and in the way. And funny thing- she was my bartender upon the first visit! The beef dish brought some heat while my mango chicken with OYSTA sauce and a side of coconut rice was amazing ! The staff works as a team- so you're never looking for your server. Pleasantly surprised and will def be back. Thanks ANG !

Yum yum, every time I have burmese in the city I'm never left disappointed or without a big belly sticking out. Everything we had here was absolutely delicious! We had the chili pork lunch special which included the tea leaf salad. Obviously the tea leaf salad was amazing. The pork was so good but I must admit, pretty spicy. We also got the Nan Gyi Dok - noodles with chicken curry and string beans. This here was my fave and our 8 month old was lovin' it! Both dishes were MORE than enough for my husband and I. The only thing that could've been better was the service. We went during lunch hours on a Monday and there were only 2 other tables so it wasn't busy at all. But I had to flag our server a couple of times because we just weren't being checked on. Also, the way Google maps brought us here, we had to drive through a sketchy alleyway. Make of that what you will.

Made a reservation at Burma Love on a Friday night for outside seating. It was pretty easy to get a table reserved for 2 just a few hours in advance. We got the garlic noodles with shrimp and the wok tossed chili chicken. The garlic noodles were super delicious, and the chili chicken was also pretty good though maybe not as flavorful or spicy as I hoped. The food came out really quick after we ordered which was nice, and service overall was friendly and attentive even with the restaurant being busy. My only real complaint here is the price point, it's definitely a bit of a fancy restaurant with higher dinner prices. We opted for no drinks since the cocktails were 18-20 dollars which seems steep. Otherwise would recommend this restaurant to friends or family!

On Wednesday night, I visited the location and thoroughly enjoyed myself by trying an appetizer, two cocktails, an entree, and sorbet. I started off with the Platha and dip and it was flaky, thick, and savory. The dip was excellent and paired well with the burmarita cocktail, a signature drink. The cocktail was tangy but not overpowering. The wok-tossed tofu was superb, and the portion with coconut rice was generous. I also tried the lychee express and it was very pretty and sweet. For dessert I had the mango sorbet and it was the best mango sorbet I've tried.

After watching the broadway musical show Ain't Too Proud- The Temptations at the Golden Gate Theater yesterday, as recommended, we went to this restaurant. I made a reservation for 6 people at 4:30 pm but ended up 7 of us. We walked through a sketchy alleyway from the theater. We found the restaurant & it was nice from outside. We noticed on Mint Plaza there were other good restaurants as well. We were brought upstairs for our group size. Nice indoor decorations. Note the restroom was on the basement and the restaurant has no elevator. It was still quiet around the time we arrived. We asked to change our table as the original table area was kind of dark. The three of us ordered the bottle of Justin Cabernet Sauvignon to share as it was more cheaper than per glass. The others ordered drinks of Mango Lassi, Mya Ruby, Pellegrino Water, hot water with lemon. Our first server took our order but there was confusion with the # of chicken wings served as appetizer and regular as the menu did not specify clearly. Another server reviewed our order & brought our food. We ordered from the Happy Hour menu the Skillet Shrimps, Salt & Pepper Calamari and from regular menu we got the Garlic Noodles with Chicken. We doubled our appetizer orders. They were so appetizing. Then we ordered from the dinner menu the Mango Chicken, Hodo Organic Tofu With Fresh Mint, Dried-Fried String Beans, Coconut Rice & Jasmine Rice. The Burmese food has a combination of sour, salty, and spicy elements. We enjoyed every dishes we tasted. We did not get any desserts as we were full. We almost stayed two hours at the restaurant. We noticed people started coming in for dinner and becoming noisy. I don't mind returning if we will be seeing another Broadway musical show at the Golden Gate Theater.

Great place to get Burmese food! We came here after an event nearby and it was the perfect dinner to end the night! The food was delicious and the service was prompt. The inside is also really beautiful. It feels like you're in a high end restaurant. As for parking, we paid for parking in a parking garage nearby.

We came for dinner on a Friday night and overall, we enjoyed our experience. The restaurant decor was nice, and it felt clean and upscale. It was nice and quiet inside which made it easy to have conversation. Service was good overall - I like that they left a jug of water at the table so we could refill as much as they want. They also came by often enough to check in, but not too often as to be overbearing. Once we were done, they actually didn't rush us out at all, and we had to flag someone down to pay the bill (which is fine by me).The food came out quite quickly after ordering. Portion sizes were reasonable, not too large, and not too small for what we paid and for the type of restaurant it is. Some of the dishes we got included: * Skillet Shrimp: 10 pieces of shrimp, nicely flavored * Coconut Chicken Noodle Soup: This was quite salty and flavorful - I like how the ingredients / toppings come separate (including the chili), so you can add as much of the toppings as you like - the noodles expanded to be larger than we initially thought, but given the amount of sauce, I wish the dish came with a bit more noodles / starch * Spicy and Crispy Chicken: This was good overall, not too spicy (both our kids could eat it just fine). This was also a bit salty, but not as much as the noodle soup or pork dishes * Pumpkin and Pork Stew: Braised squash with pork shoulder - this was a pretty good dish, but it was quite salty, and I found the pork to be a little dry at timesThe main negatives were two fold: 1. The restaurant isn't in the best area (once you get inside the restaurant, it's fine, but the surrounding plaza is pretty sketchy, even by SF standards) 2. The food was a bit salty - flavor was good (and some may say it has strong flavor), but it was quite salty as evidenced by the amount of water we all drank during our meal and afterward through the evening - I knocked off a star for this.If you're around and looking for something new, it's worth a try.

Bummed that this one was a rare miss. Love Burmese food and went on a Sunday night post Super Bowl and the meal experience was just a bit off. We're not big drinkers and it was a Sunday night, so the first small issue was that we were pushed three times to order drinks (twice by our server; once by another server). Secondly, despite not being busy, they tried to take our menus away twice before we'd ordered. And third, while not a huge issue, the food came out too fast - if it was packed I'd understand rushing to turn over tables, but it was hard to enjoy a nice date night when we had our appetizers 5 mins after sitting, our mains 5 mins after that, and a check dropped before we'd spent 30 minutes there. The prawn appetizer was great though!

I will come to this spot literally any time just for the Platha and Dip. It's one of my favorite appetizers and I have it every time. That being said, this place has so many good dishes that fit any appetite. It's a little on the expensive side for what they serve and though the servers are all lovely, service can be a little slow even when it's not too busy. The interior is beautiful and I love the bar, which has a nice selection of drinks.
