Buckhorn Grill - SF Metreon

I got $10 off coupon for my birthday month by downloading their app and being a regular customer! I bought the tri-tip sandwich and added the crunchy fried onions with the coupon and only had to pay a few dollars. I feel really appreciated as a customer! I'm glad Buckhorn Grill is still doing well in downtown SF.

This is my first time ordering food here. I can say, I'll be back again. I ordered the tri-tip bites and a side of coleslaw, as well as a cornbread muffin. It was freshly baked, served with a pat of butterI am not normally a coleslaw loving person, but this recipe contains pieces of green apples. It was tasty. I finished it all. The tri-tip bites were the real star, and should be celebrated. They didn't even need salt and pepper to be added, they were well seasoned and so satisfying. The recommended way to order them is medium rare. I agree. The barbecue dipping sauces are not to be missed. Very good. Can't wait to come back again, to try the mac & cheese or one of their salads. Also, the customer service came with a smile. Much appreciated. Dinner was stellar.

Nice juicy burger with side of fries and beverage right before the movies!! It was filling and delicious

Fed two of us with sodas and HUGE SALADS with meat for $42. Such a deal. Food was tasty and quick. Plus a full staff where the other eating restaurants nearby often have only one person working them and abandoning their stations

I can't recall ever having had a worse cut of meat than this. It's chewy and seems undercooked. The service and ambiance were just okay. Stuff are nice. MacnCheese was not that bad but I came here to eat meat.

I hadn't been to the buckhorn in years so when I went to the Metreon I went to one of their restaurants . The buckhorn has been serving up good food for years . I ordered the BBQ half chicken with two sides abd a roll I also ordered a diet coke My sides were mashed potatoes and gravy. Everything was very tasty. Loved the BBQ sauce

A surprising find in the somewhat abandoned Metreon. Great salads- one with chicken, one with tri-tip- and a mac and cheese loaded with pulled pork. Huge quantities, quickly prepared and great taste. Definitely a stick-to-your-ribs meal. And the side of mashed potatoes and gravy was also amazing- so much in fact that it was eaten before photographed

The Metreon used to be the place to go to watch a movie and get tasty grub before or after. Now the lower lobby with large variety of cuisines have dwindled down to a few options. Buckhorn Grill is one that I thought would be a solid and satisfying choice. Pros:- Lots of seating in the main courtyard area. - Reasonable pricing for the city. - The salads are a decent size. Cons:- The Bacon Cheddar Burger was small and needed a magnifying glass to find the bacon. The irony that added to the disappointment was that we happened to sit next to a giant wall advertisement with a photo of this supposed burger that had so much cheese and bacon in it that they were falling out. *sigh*- The Impossible Burger was thin and was not as tasty considering the imbalance of patty to bun ratio. - The corn bread muffin should've had "teeny tiny" in front of the name to be more accurate. It looked more like the mini cupcakes you can buy at Safeway. - There were more than a couple handfuls of residentially challenged people using the tables to cuss and bathrooms to wash up, which made the courtyard not as family-friendly or palatable to the senses during dining. - Customer service needed improvement. The cashier didn't seem happy to be there, and the kitchen staff who fulfilled our order forgot an item. The missing item was resolved but it felt like we were inconveniencing them by pointing it out. I wouldn't return here next time. I'd try one of the newer Asian eateries if I had to eat at the Metreon again.

So bad, now I know this is a franchise, so the individual stores are responsible for keeping up quality. This is not happening here. Sad, Buckhorn used to be so yummy...now not so much.

Received the tiniest, saddest paper cup of wine. Like a Dixie cup, but less than half full! Amazing. Their famous tri-tip steak was flavorful but tragically was as chewy as rubber. Seriously needed a tenderizer. What a shame.
