This place is something very special and absolutely divine. Everything is made with such care and heart. It's a family business, the sister works the front and her brother makes the food! They both took time to talk to us about the food and tell us how it was made and cooked!Their menu is brand new and we were the first to order the Lamb bowl. It was INCREDIBLE. Every bite felt nourishing and tasted delicious. The lamb was perfectly tender, and the bulgur was so flavorful. They serve it with an in-house cultured yogurt that was so thick and creamy, unlike anything I've ever had (you don't know what you're missing until you try it!). We also ordered the Mezze Plate which was a must try! Every appetizer on it was so extraordinary. Their homemade hummus was my absolute favorite; it is made with miso which gives it a lovely sweet flavor. There are 6 different dips to try, each one perfectly curated. They gave us a Turkish coffee to finish off our meal, another must try! It comes with Turkish delight for sweetness and WOW. My boyfriend doesn't drink coffee but he says it was the best he ever had and I must agree! Overall, it was an incredible dining experience, amazing service, and unmatched quality of food. You will leave feeling full yet light, comforted by a gourmet home cooked meal, and delighted by the quaintness of a family who wants to share their traditions with you. This place is going to be the next big thing & I can't wait for them to get the traction they really deserve.

Amazing hidden gem! I had this place bookmarked on Yelp since a long time and finally had the chance to visit over the weekend. Loved the vibe of this cute place. They have several vegan options. Pretty much all the items are with fermented foods. We got fermented hummus, shakshuka, Kisir/Tabbouleh. The portion sizes are pretty good, although they are sizes, 3 of them were enough for the 2 people. The food came pretty quickly. Kombuchas are great too, esp the Currant Clove- it has hint of clove and very refreshing. The owner, Betul was super nice and friendly. All in all, a great place and looking forward to going back soon.We also tried a couple of different kombuchas which they are known for.

The food was amazing and really flavorful. It is a small place but with tons of character that shows in the serene ambiance and delicious food. The food is made fresh and hence took a bit more time but it was totally worth it. The cuisine could be described as world fusion with little bit from several places like Asia, Europe and Africa(as well as some American influences). Loved the lentil wraps and chicken sandwich but my favorite was the Tofu Bulger bowl. Also tried their Kombucha ( pomegranate one) and it was delicious.

A hidden and nice little tiny cafe tucked in Soma SF near harrison and 3rd. I liked that they have so many vegetarian food options. We had lentil miso wrap and a platter. I tried it on a lunch date with a girl friend so those 2 dishes were enough for us. Their latte was also good. During lunch hours it wasnt crowded for a sit down meal. Many working professionals people came in for to go lunch. The cafe is very much suitable for a lazy afternoon reading with books and music. There were many servers but the service is a bit slower so a little patience goes a long way. Location is good to walk to but not convenient by public transport.

Visiting from out of town, Walked over from our hotel for lunch...delicious food, super friendly folks... I'm an omnivore, had vegan bulgar bowl, others had lamb wraps and salads. Inspired me to try and copy some veggie preparations for home. Highly recommend.

Amazing amazing amazing. I came here for a late lunch after a workout on a Saturday. We ordered the Lentil Miso, Fermented Hummus, and Turkish "eggless" Shakshuka, and we also sampled some kombucha and got the ginger one and the one called Unicorn Tail. We wondered if we should order another bowl, but we were kindly advised that we ordered enough food... which we really appreciated because he was absolutely right. We were both so full that we didn't need to eat dinner later haha. Everything we ordered tasted AMAZING. Wow, is this what real hummus is?! My standards for hummus has elevated. The hummus, pita bread that comes with the hummus, and shakshuka eaten together is a great combo. By the time we finished the hummus and shakshuka, I was starting to fill full, so I wasn't sure if I could finish my half of the Lentil Miso... but because it tasted so delicious, I gobbled it up. Wowowowowwwwwwww. This place is now one of my favorite places in SF! The service is fantastic. Cute place to catch up with a friend or to go on a date ;). I'll be back!

I have some mixed feelings about writing this review because, on the one hand, I think Boochmania deserves all the hype, attention, love, and support but, on the other hand, the more popular it is, the more people I have to compete with for the delicious food and amazing service. But, alas, I would hate to see this place close earlier than it should and the un-Boochmania'ed, if you will, need the enlightenment, so I'm here to share my glowing review.Firstly, the ambiance of Boochmania is not something you'd expect to find in SF, let alone this rather sparse area of Yerba Buena. It's cozy and warm and charming. It feels almost like an escape from everything that's going on outside, a little oasis in the city.Secondly, the food. The food. It's like eating a mother's cooking but with a fun, fermented twist.Mezze Plate ($12): delicious medley of dips with several pieces of puffy pita bread! This was so delicious and nourishing. I loved every single dip but the fermented hummus and yogurt take my top spots for sure. Let me also say that I love it when a restaurant gives an EVEN number of bread. Like what the heck is a party of two going to do with an odd number of bread, fight to the death before the entrees come out??!?Bulgur Bowl ($16): a really good portion of bulgur and beautiful pan-fried vegetables. I personally prefer other grains over bulgur, but I still enjoyed this, and the vegetables really shined here. Quite literally, because it was golden hour and the sun was streaming in through the front window and the vegetables were vibrant and glimmering in a thin layer of oil. They were cooked just enough so that they still had a bit of snap and were perfectly salted. The blueberry dressing was beautiful and paired really well with the rest of the dish! No picture because we dug in without snapping a pic first :)Sliders + veggie side ($18 + $4): bomb dot com! Love that they have this on the menu so that you can try the vegan and meat burger option! Overall, I prefered the lamb slider a bit more. I really enjoyed the flavor of the lentil miso one, but the patty was a bit soft which didn't make for a ton of structural integrity. I'd still order the lentil one again, though! As for the lamb.. it was definitely some of the best I've had! Perfectly tender and rich. Slap on some onions, sauce and put it between a beautiful brioche bun and you're in for a great time. Again, the vegetables were amazing. But the pickles!!! Best pickles I've ever had!!!Mosaic Cake ($3.50): visually stunning but not my personal favorite dessert. It's like a really chewy and dense brownie with mix-ins. If that's your jam, this will be your jam.Kombucha ($5): delicious, light and refreshing. And fun flavors! I've gotten to sample them all -- shout out to the kind and generous staff -- and my standouts are Ginger Sage, Unicorn Tail and Persimmon Rose. Finally, let's talk about the service. This is Tokyo-level service y'all. They were so kind and patient while my friend and I tried all of their kombucha flavors. They surprised me at the beginning of the meal with complimentary fermented hummus and pita bread. They surpised me at the end of the meal with turkish coffee and the best turkish delights I've ever had (lots of bests here folks). Each one of the staff just gives off good vibes all around. It's like eating a mother's cooking in her family's inviting home.---Well. This has been quite the lengthy review, so let me sum up some action items. Go support and enjoy Boochmania. Try the fermented hummus, yogurt, puffy pita bread, vegetables, burger of your choice/sliders if you can't choose, pickles, and kombucha. Ok, so basically anything on the menu. Also, their baked goods. But! If you see me through the window enjoying myself in my little oasis, maybe come back like an hour later ;)

We walked in at random and what a delightful surprise. My wife and I shared a delicious lamb wrap. It was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The sides, oven baked fries and a chickpea salad, perfectly complemented the meal. We finished off with a strong Turkish coffee and Turkish delight (which the owner brought over as a gift) The service was exceptional! Mustapha was friendly, welcoming and an excellent host. The ambiance is a funky, cool, laid back cafe. Small tables and a comfortable bench lined with pillows. We highly recommend!!
