Boichik Bagels

The bagel was good! Will be back to try the filled bagel, hesitant with the $16+ price tag. Bagel + cream cheese ~ $5.25

So yummy!! My friend and I shared the Classic, which is a bagel with Nova Lox, chive cream cheese, tomato, red onion & capers. Generous portions / toppings & were satisfied with splitting it! We got it with the everything bagel. The bagel was soft on the inside & toasted well! Would 100% come back.

i stopped by boichik on a saturday around noon & the line was out the door! surprisingly the line moves fast. we got in line at 11:53am and got our food at 12:09 (timestamps from pictures lol). in terms of service, everyone was decent... the line workers putting together sandwiches seemed friendly with each other, some more confused about the process than others. the cashier though, could not be bothered to make eye contact and seemed utterly dismissive. all that aside, the bagel sandwiches were about 4-4.5/5 stars. the bagels itself were delicious and flavorful. at some points the ratio of cream cheese spread to other contents was overwhelming. it was also just a bit of a nuisance that they couldn't layer the bagel contents properly -- reference the photo, but you can see how some bites would not have any lox and others would not have any cucumber. it would have been more enjoyable if they could lay the lox flat rather than fold it over itself & evenly distribute it. maybe my expectations were too high from hearing about this store from social media/other people, but i think this place could do a bit better if they want to live up to their reputation and name.

Above average bagels, but the toppings/sandwich options are pretty limited. I also wish there were a couple seats to eat inside - I went on a rainy day and the back patio was closed.I tried the everything bagel and it was super flavorful (honestly a bit too salty :0) and and the cream cheese was also tasty, with a perfect proportion of bagel : cream cheese

Came by for the first time for a quick refuel after a workout class. There are menus posted outdoors, as well as indoors, and you can essentially build your own bagel with a selection of bagel types, cream cheeses, and additional ad ins like lox. Walk in and order near the back end of the counter. This part of the space is more rectangular with not too much space, but the orders are prepared quickly. Go further into the back and it opens up into an outdoor dining space which is really nice.The garlic bagel was very fresh with big chunks of garlic baked into the dough. Texture was soft yet also firm. Got this bagel with cream cheese, which was generously loaded on making it well worth the more premium cost that the bagel is.

I'm always too late once I'm off work to make it here before closing, but I had an early appointment in the area today and I'm so glad I got to try these bagels. I got an Everything with Hatch Chile spread- so good (I would've like more chiles though). Super friendly, expedient service. I don't know what to expect for a "real" NY bagel, but these were awesome. Perfectly chewy, fresh, soft and adequate smear ! Yes please!

Was going through a bagel phase where I was craving a bagel sandwich every weekend. As someone who's lactose intolerant, I take a lactaid and hope for the best. It's worth the risk! The bagel itself is the perfect amount of chewiness. - lox: good flavor and on the saltier side. Authentic NYC-style bagels are hard to come by in San Francisco, but this spot delivers a solid experience. While they don't bake the bagels on-site--so no chance of snagging one warm from the oven (alas, no 5 stars)--the quality is still impressive. I would love to try these fresh out of the oven someday.The bagels are perfectly chewy, and they don't skimp on cream cheese. I went for the hatch chili cream cheese, which had a great kick and paired perfectly with the bagel.For those nostalgic San Franciscans, this spot occupies the old Johnny Rockets location (remember their egg salad? Yum!). The outdoor patio out back still exists and is a great little spot to enjoy your bagel, but it's easy to miss if you don't know to look for it.Overall, a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

I enjoy trying to new bagel shops in SF....this one has a nice graphic branding...offered gifts...modern and fun...yiddish for "cute boy" newer shop..in Pacific Heights..fun to try...got plain bagel with chives cream cheese...

Delicious bagels! I stopped here on a Wednesday morning and there wasn't a line. The service was great and efficient, I got my bagel within 5 min! The store is pretty spacious but there isn't a sitting area. More of an "on the go" places.Really enjoyed my bagel and can't wait to return!!
