**Review for Bee's Vietnamese Street Food**Bee's Vietnamese Street Food is a hidden gem in San Francisco's Mission District, offering an authentic and delicious dining experience. The friendly staff creates a warm atmosphere, making every visit a pleasure. The menu is simple yet impressive, with dishes that showcase the true flavors of Vietnamese cuisine. The char-grilled chicken is a standout, cooked to perfection! The Hu Tori with a comforting chicken broth is also absolutely amazing - if you can do broth right, you can do it all! The broken rice plates, featuring options like pork or chicken, are also highly recommended. Each dish is crafted with care, and the attention to detail is evident in every bite.If you're looking for genuine Vietnamese flavors in a cozy setting, Bee's is the place to be. Highly recommended for those seeking a straightforward yet exceptional dining experience!

Newish Vietnamese restaurant in the mission area. Limited seating and limited ventilation. We were sitting at the counter facing the open kitchen and we kept getting overwhelmed by the smoke from the cooking. We were expecting to food to come out quick since there were limited menu items and we were the only new walk in customers. But the food took a little long to come out because I think they had to get through a lot of takeout/delivery orders.Overall I liked the deluxe combo broken rice. The chicken was pretty tender and juicy. The pork chop was a bit dry though -- I would actually recommend getting the chicken broken rice. The egg fritter thing on the side was interesting -- it reminded me of Korean egg rolls but these had vermicelli noodles inside. It was quite tasty with the house chili sauce on the side. The salad was a bit of a mystery they gave a side of fish sauce and a bunch of plain cabbage, cucumber, and tomato pieces. There was like too much fish sauce to be pouring it over the veggies. I ended up dipping the cabbage in it and it was fine ?? The soup on the side was kind of meh I couldn't really tell what the broth was made of it kinda gave corn + egg drop soup vibes?

Came here on a Sunday night at around 6:30 PM and there were plenty of tables available. The restaurant is narrow in its initial appearance but goes very deep into the building. Unfortunately, we were sat at the back table next to the bathroom, which unfortunately occasionally smelled like a bathroom. We got the Cha Gio Tom Cua (fried spring rolls), the Com Tam Thap Cam (deluxe combo broken rice), and the Hu Tieu Thap Cam (deluxe noodle soup), which was plenty of food for 3 people. The waitress was very kind in explaining our dishes to us as they came out, showing us the different ingredients and sides as well as explaining what the different dips/broths were. Very informative! The portions of the Broken Rice and Noodle Soup were also huge, so I'm glad we shared them. Everything was plated nicely, especially the fried spring rolls!Cha Gio Tom Cua (fried spring rolls): 4/5, super freshly fried (maybe wait a second before eating these because they were very hot). They're smaller than I expected.Com Tam Thap Cam (deluxe combo broken rice): 5/5, the chicken and pork were so tender! The egg yolk was still runny, which I loved for the rice. My favorite was combining the fresh veggies and the meats with the pickled radish and carrot to make fresh, savory bites.Hu Tieu Thap Cam (deluxe noodle soup): 4/5, warm and comforting with a clean broth! We got the rice noodles, which were cooked perfectly. Loved how many toppings were in it, especially the soft boiled egg which stayed jammy and delicious. The chicken was not over-boiled, and the shrimps were large. The corn was nicely sweet!Overall, I had a great time trying this new local place. The waitstaff were super friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Would come back!

Came here with friends to try out a new Vietnamese place! We ordered the deluxe noodle soup, deluxe broken rice, and spring rolls to share! The spring rolls were fried perfectly - even the shrimp tail was very crisp (10/10)! The deluxe noodle soup was filled with things from corn and lettuce to chicken and egg. The egg was soft boiled, so a little runny. The soup was amazingly delicious - 9/10! The deluxe broken rice was probably my favorite dish of the night - it had a large variety of items in it, including chicken, egg meatloaf, pork chop, and pickled veggies! Definitely a 10/10!The service was great as well! The restaurant is on the smaller side, but there is a decent amount of seating! Overall, would definitely come back again :)

Summary:Tasty Vietnamese addition to the areaDetails:The older I get, the lower my risk tolerance for trying brand new spots has become, so Bee's was a bit of a gamble, being as new as it is. But, I've also been getting bored of eating the same things in the Mission, so, away we went, and it didn't disappoint! The vibe is on the more hip/Insta-friendly side, with a darker interior and flashy neon lights placed about. As one would expect, prices veer in that direction to match as well, though not outrageously so (I'm looking at you, Gao Viet), with most items on the menu falling under $20.The things we ended up eating were all pretty solid, with the deluxe noodle soup, papaya salad, and hot soy milk being standouts, while the combo rice plate was tasty, but a bit too salty for our tastes (as is often the case with Viet rice plates, I've noticed). All in all, a welcome addition to the neighborhood, and worth a shot!Accessibility:Plenty of space inside to get around, though the entrance is on a bit of an incline, which can pose a bit of difficulty if the door isn't being held open (either by someone else, or the automated opener).

Hate to be the party pooper here, but I didn't really care for it too much. I came in hungry and I asked the owner what I should order. She said that the broken rice plates were a lot of food, so I order the pork chop rice plate. Really all it is a mound of rice, a very thin and small pork chop and very small portions of some kind of noodle, some pickled veg and two very large pieces of tomato and cucumber. On the side was a small bowl of broth with some green onions floating in it. The flavors were generally pretty good. That being said, about 1/3 of my (already small) pork chop was bone, fat or gristle. Having not had this dish before, I was also a bit confused on how I was supposed to eat it. The veggies, noodles and pickled vegetables and lettuce cups on the side indicated that I was supposed to load everything up into the lettuce and eat it like it was some type of larb, but no utensils other than a spoon for the soup and chopsticks were given to me, so I resorted to tearing the pork chop apart with my bare hands. Lettuce was iceberg (not a fan, in general) and generally doesn't have much flavor, but it left a bitter after taste in my mouth.....not sure where that was coming from. At $18-20 for a main, I wouldn't go as far to say that it is expensive, but I think in order to be properly full, you would need to get a main AND a side, so you are basically looking at $25-30 for a complete meal. Not a great value given the quality imho.

I have to say, Bee's really surprised me. I'm usually apprehensive trying street food in the city as it can get a little salty/greasy. Not an issue here. Got the Com Tam combination and I really enjoyed the meats/rice. You can definitely see their skill in grilling and their spice control. Plus, all the accoutrements - the soup, the pickles, the frittata egg thing, were great complements to the entrees. I would be really excited to try more, especially the soups. Also each dish is $20 or less, so it's really not too expensive for SF. Lastly, I really appreciate how nice (and efficient) the owners are and I hope they can get a little more support!

Owners are super nice and the food was great! Came on a Sunday night with a group of 5.For apps we shared the fried squid and combo platter with papaya salad, chicken wings, and fried spring rolls.
