Yeah it lives up to the hype.I got chocolate croissant, ham and cheese croissant, and a kouign amann. Why were the best croissants I've had... it was so flaky and buttery and all the beautiful layers I bought them on a Saturday afternoon at 12:30 pm (I checked the exact time). We waited in line for 5? Minutes? The line seemed long but it actually went by super quick. Everything held up super well over the whole day. I had the kouign amann several hours later, and it was still delicious.I would definitely come back and bring any of my friends visiting out of town. Pick up a croissant and head on over to the city!

Elite foodie destination.Run, don't walk to Arsicault's bakery. Anything you get here will be fire. Ham and Swiss for savory, almond/chocolate almond for sweet. There are very few bakeries that get croissants both flakey and crispy and this place is one of them.

Best croissants ever!! I've tried many bakeries in the city and nothing compares. Yes the line is long, but trust me, you'll always find yourself coming back to Arsicault.I love their ham&cheese and their chocolate almond one. Nothing really disappoints though, I would come early to find parking and get in line. :)

Best croissants ever! Ive been coming here for maybe 9 years and it never disappoints (besides the crazy long line, jk). I came here on a Wednesday afternoon and was so happy to see only 4 people in line. They have a really good system to keep the line going. If you want to avoid the line and can make it here on the weekday, def would recommend. Never in my life did I think I would ever be a fan of purchasing croissants but it has been worth every wait and dollar spent. Typically I get the almond chocolate croissant but I just tried their ham and cheese which I thought was so flavorful and good as well! I have bought these for my coworkers the day before, but it's not the same. Our family loves to buy this for friends and family to try. Must have it same day and fresh! Recently I've been trying other items on their menu and must say -while I have never been a fan of scones, this place is pretty amazing as well. I intended to buy scones for my friends mom; however, once I got a whiff of the smell I couldn't help but try it. I got the savory scone and the coconut cherry and they both were so flavorful and not super hard and dry like other scones. One of my go-to bakery spots!

I had a 5 start review earlier but now will be adjusting my review based on my recent interaction with this place. I had order a chocolate almond croissant in person on 02/20/2025 at 10:42 am. I however received a chocolate croissant I did not eat my croissant till mid afternoon around 2 pm. That is when I realized the employee had given me the wrong croissant. I called telling them about their error and they did not believe me. They wanted a photo of the croissant thinking I lied about the mistake and was trying to get my money back. That phone call was very humiliating as a customer, they blamed me for not checking properly and not knowing the difference between the croissant. On my receipt I was charged for a chocolate almond croissant. Please hire employees that are capable

WHEN: Sun @8:30amThere's a line as expected, which is why I got out so my partner could go find parking. The sidewalk is clearly marked where to line up so we aren't blocking the sidewalk way. Parking is difficult since it's as also Farmer's Market day, with loads of wonderful vendors. I appreciate the "menu" being clearly listed on the window big enough for us to read at a distance. So I didn't take long once it was my turn to order 20 minutes later! The Bakery is quite small and the staff are so friendly and effeminate. They will queue in one part of customer at a time, and in some cases, there is an additional 10 minute wait for croissants. Which I don't mind since it meant my croissant will be warm and fresh! Here's what I ordered:PLAIN CROISSANT - $4.75 Yeah I see what the hype is all about. So buttery, light, flakey, oh man. SO good. ALMOND CROISSANT - $5.75The almond filing was custardy and the croissant part didn't taste twice-baked, which I liked cuz that meant it was still soft with the right amount of flakey crunchiness. I really enjoyed this!HAM AND CHEESE CROISSANT - $6.75I think the only ready this was good was the croissant. Everything else is fine. I still have my favorite spot for a ham and Swiss croissant in the east bay (Crispian). But it's a nice simple quick breakfast.KOUIGN AMANN - $5I got this remember it was the best Kouign Amann Iever had! But this time it wasn't as sweet. It didn't have that thick sugary shell like the other location. Don't get me wrong, it's still good but more subtle on the sweet side. It's like paying a quarter to sweeten your plain croissant. LARGE DRIP COFFEE - $3.25I appreciate how the coffee isn't over priced.Actually I appreciate how as popular as it is, the prices were reasonable. 20 minutes was not bad of a wait, and it was worth experiencing the best croissant in the Bay Area.

Line can be pretty long at times but the wait is well worth it! The ham and cheese croissant is perfect. It is a fluffy, flakey, buttery and divine pastry with a good filling of ham and cheese. The almond croissant and the chocolate almond croissant was also really good. Very yummy pastries!

Popped into Arsicault first thing in the morning, and even before opening, the line was already forming. Unfortunately at this point, the secret is out, and everyone is willing to wait patiently, knowing full well that what awaits them is nothing short of perfection. And perfection it was. The ham and cheese croissant was warm, insanely flaky, and impossibly buttery. Each bite started with so much flakiness covering the thinly layered doughiness, giving way to the melty cheese & warm salty ham. It's the best croissant you'll ever have.If you haven't had an Arsicault croissant fresh out of the oven, you haven't truly lived. I'm still daydreaming about this croissant hours later. Can't wait until the next time!

Chocolate almond croissant is a must have if visiting for the fire time. It is so good and decadent, you may need to split it with someone haha. Super quick service but sometimes the lines get a little long on the weekends and you may have to wait for a little bit. Definitely worth the wait and a must try if in SF
