Amal's Deli

This neighborhood place simply rocks. Nice ambiance with Large selection of all the convenience store essentials with the bonus of delicious freshly prepared food. Service is fantastic: always friendly and happy to help. And better yet, all the scratcher tickets your heart could desire.

Amal's Deli seems like a corner store, but it's a mediterranean corner store. They have some food items like a corner store and also a fresh deli with mediterranean and american food snacks and bigger dishes. They had 2 grape leaves for $1, a corn dog at $1-2, and a pork eggroll for $1-2 so I paid like $5 for this bunch of fun food. You will not find 2 grape leaves at $1 at many places. They have some other food items that are mediterranean, pizza, gyro, chicken sandwich, and sausage, etc. It's neat and fast. They had a computer screen to click on, but I paid cash this time. I feel like bummy with a $5 bill these days.Also, it's named after George Clooney's wife and it's Lebanese. wink.

This review is for the chicken soup. Unfortunately it was not as great as others have mentioned on their review. I went there today and purchased a large chicken noodle soup because my husband and I both sick and just wanted something cozy. When I receive the soup from the deli counter, there was an odd detergent bleach smell. By the time I got home, I figure the inside of the soup was probably safe and the bleach smell was probably from the outside of the lid however, when I tasted the soup, there was a very strong lemon scent with lots of herb, unfortunately it was so sour that I felt the soup was in edible. I have a hard time believing that this soup is one of the best chicken soup. In my opinion, it's really one of the worst chicken soup I've ever eaten. Unfortunately, we had to dump it down the drain. My husband also couldn't get pass that detergent smell. It really was that bad. I was completely misled by the positive rating by some of the yelpers for this chicken noodle soup. The store itself was great though. It is well located on hairy street. They had a lot of unique European products that cannot be found at many stores. I thought the owner was friendly and helpful. I really dont want to leave this bad review but the soup was awlful and I cannot recommend their chicken noodle soup.

Food is delicious , service is amazing, overall great deli and great store. They are quick to make the food and it always tastes amazing.

The chicken soup is delicious. I went after a concert and the cashier recommended that I wait inside for my uber. Everyone was very nice and location was clean.

The laham bajane (meat pies) are delicious. Very nice and hospitable staff. The yogurt drink is also very good and refreshing.
