I usually love this place but their afternoon tea falls a bit short. This review is just for their afternoon tea.In general, I really like the pastries from here. However, the pastries served during tea time just didn't taste as good as the pastries they usually sell. If they served some of their more popular pastries during tea time, it would be a lot better.I also really didn't like any of their sandwich options. The bread and the stuffing both did not taste fresh so I was pretty disappointed. Their scones are okay but their lemon spread is really good.In terms of tea, I loved the variety! I thought my tea tasted great. They have many fruit and herbal options and it's helpful they list out the caffeine levels as well. For service, things were brought out fairly quickly but there's not much beyond that. We stayed for a while so I do appreciate how they did not try to rush us to leave.I personally really like how the location is in a corner. It's quiet and calm. Since there's hardly any foot traffic, it's a great place to sit and relax. While I do like this place, I wouldn't recommend their afternoon tea

Nice small cafe. Everything I have tried at Alexander's Patisserie has been flavorful and unique. This location in particular is small and more limited compared to other locations I've been in. They only have patio seating, no indoor seating.

I didn't actually eat this myself and it was a last minute gift, so this is a review only for the service. At 10am I was supposed to meet my customer. Upon being notified he was running late I quickly went over to the closest patisserie. She was just opening shop when I got there, quickly got setup, made her recommendations. I got the classic croissant for him because he seemed to be on the healthier side, biking around campus if possible. So glad I was able to catch the opening before my meetup, super great packaging and options for mini thank you cards!

This review is for the tea time. We did an early Mother's Day brunch on May 4. My sister reserved and we prepaid for 5 people. It was pricey...I believe over 400 for all 5 of us. Overall, I thought the food was delicious but the value was not worth it.We were the only people doing tea time at the time. Since it's part of the steak house you don't get the fun decor like at Lovejoys or other dedicated tea spots but I excepted that. What I didnt expect was the lack of attention and customer service especially for the high price of the tea service. It felt like we were bothersome when asking for refills on water or tea. Such a shame because the food was delicious, especially the warm and savory biscuits at the bottom tier. There was plenty of food we even had leftovers to take home, but again it was a hassle trying to find help. Whenever we did flag someone down I believe it was someone from the restaurant side and the seemed annoyed by our request and they had to grab the staff from the bakery side to help us.I definitely won't return for tea time but will probably came back to the patisserie to grab a quick pastry.

3.5 STARSFriend: "What's that?"Me: "A 2D croissant."Friend: "Looks like someone sat on it. Hope they didn't fart on it."Me: *SNIFF TEST*Spending hours painstakingly creating beautifully laminated layers only to *SMASH* it seems sacrilegious to a French croissant. But, this became a viral trend in Korea last year which has now come to The Bay. Introducing the 2D Korean-inspired: Croissant Nurungi aka Flat Croissant....They're available at Alexander's Pâtisserie (Cupertino & Mountain View). 4 flavors: Plain, strawberry, mango, and chocolate ($6-$6.50 each). * Plain ($6) // 3 stars * Strawberry ($6.50) // 4 stars : http://tinyurl.com/mr28h3n3Gimmicky? Fo'Sho...imo. Low key reminds me of palmiers (cookies), the 2D croissants were crunchy and flaky with a buttery, slightly caramelized sweetness. Not as sugary as palmiers. After several bites, the plain one became monotonous. The strawberry chocolate + dehydrated strawberries was much better. The creamy pleasant tartness perfectly complemented the butteriness.Pairs well with tea + coffee. Overall, the 2D croissants were fine and I may get one again when I'm craving a bougie palmier but def seems like another social media novelty trend. Gotta try things for yourself tho. Rounding down because of my other experiences at this pâtisserie. I'm a fan of their steakhouse but I find their desserts look better than they taste (for my taste preferences). Also, on one visit, the macarons and truffles I purchased were stale.OTHER NOTES:* Hidden behind Pacific Catch's storefront.* Much smaller than their MV location with a limited selection. * Hot tea + coffee available. No matcha tho which is disappointing considering their brand has Japanese influences. * Tock: Cake Pre-Orders + Afternoon Tea Rezzies * Afternoon Tea ($65 pp) in partnership with Claude Le Tohic and SF's ONE65 is available on the patio. Includes fresh seasonal assortment of pastries, macarons, sandwiches, chocolates, tea, and coffee.* Outdoor patio seating only (dog-friendly).

Tucked away next to Alexander's Steakhouse this spot is definitely hidden. I had no idea it was next door to the steakhouse until someone mentioned it. Location is super small and there is no indoor seating. I tried their matcha croissant, pistachio croissant and the flattened croissant dipped in mango. If you like matcha, you'd like the matcha croissant. I'm usually not a fan of filled croissants because the croissant loses its crispy exterior. In this case the shell was still crispy but there was way to much filling. It was 25% croissant and 75% filling. The filling had a nice matcha flavor and not too sweet but it was a dense cream filling. I was fine after 2 bites it was personally too rich for me. Pistachio croissant- very reminiscent of baklava. I enjoyed this one more and I'm usually lukewarm about pistachio items. It was not too sweet and crunchy throughout which I appreciated. Pistachio flavor was subtle without being overpowering. Flattened croissant- I got so many forwarded instagram stories about this item. Didn't come in to try this but since I was here why not. There was 4 flavors including strawberry, mango and chocolate. I opted for mango. It was crispy and the mango dipped parts slightly sweet. I'm not mad at this at all. If you want something crunchy and not too sweet you could opt for this. It's been compared to a palmier cookie but not as sweet as one of those cookies. It was interesting to try just once. May come back to try the strawberry flavor if I'm in the area. I saw on social they also serve afternoon tea but this location is pretty small and unless it's a nice day out I saw very limited seats.

A flat croissant place in the Bay Area? Never would I have thought that that would be a thing. After seeing this place on social media, I just knew I needed to give this place a shot. Aesthetically, they're beautiful for flat pieces of croissant bread. It's like super crispy, flaky, and it literally tastes like a crunchy croissant. With the addition of the fruity flavors and chocolate flavor, the croissants literally taste like a pocky stick which I actually thought was delightfully good and whimsical. The mango and strawberry croissants ones were definitely some of my favorites. The fruitiness definitely cuts into the butteriness of the croissant, and it was slightly tart which I also liked! The chocolate hazelnut and matcha croissant were alright. But that's just me being biased. As much as I thought that this was a cool experience, it's also pretty gimmicky as well. I would definitely choose a regular croissant over this any day. But at the end of the day, if you wanna try a unique croissant place, Alexander's Patisserie should definitely be added to your list.

While their pastries and cakes look so beautiful and decadent, they do lack some sort of flavor. I would also say that the items on the menu is a bit on the pricier side compared to other places I have been to. The interior of this place was small and nice with display items that one can buy. These items consist of tea, coffee, fresh vanilla, etc. The service here was decent. I did ask the employee what she recommended and she told me that everything was good here and that you couldn't go wrong...not very helpful.

Had one of my few tea time experiences here recently and honestly really enjoyed it. To be fair I'm really not a high noon tea time kinda gal. The only high noon tea time I know is dimsum which is a lot more food vs. these delicate pastries and sammies. But ya know what - for a girls catchup scene and light bites ++ optional mini Wagyu sliders for added costs...I'd say not too shabby. My party of 4 were seated outside and had reservations ahead of time. I think my sister-in-law might have prepaid actually. Our service was nice and the waitress did a great job of explaining the different tea options. I loved the tea and the fact that we can all choose our own flavor. Food talk:Mini Wagyu Sliders - bomb!!! Meat was so juicy with nice buttery buns and simple veggie condiments for the right amount of tang/freshness.Sandwiches - the ham one was tasty and cheesy, a bit too salty. Loved the salmon one, had great flavor and a nice texture overall.Scones and bites - round cheese bites were flaky and super tasty! While the scones were fair, little dry but I guess that's how scones are (lol) - loved the jams which did add some moisture. Desserts - raspberry macarons were OK, not a fan of macarons in general. Lemon dome tart was good and not too sour. Chocolates were tasty! The pistachio creme/custard in the cup was creamy and tasty. Little cupcakes were good but a bit too sweet for me personally. Overall we had a great experience - if my friends/fam wanted to do this again I'd be down. Just not something I would usually initiate...bc IYKYK me :)

High tea here is always nice and delicious and beautiful. It's a high price to pay, but worth it if you are looking for the quintessential high tea experience in the South Bay. Not many other places you could go.
