There is literally 2 thin slices of chicken hidden in this chicken sandwich which cost $10. Huge disappointment.

Pizza looks good, but burnt on edges, and burnt underneath, not enough sauce and cheese was sparse, and at $30 for a large, too overpriced!!

A friendly neighborhood pizza joint! It's not the best pizza ever, but no major complaints here. We mainly do take out. Their thin crust has garnered a variety of opinions. My dad said it was "surprisingly good" while my SO hates it. They have a weekly deal for two Medium pizzas with 2 toppings, but I don't think we ever got it since we like a million toppings on ours :)P.S. their Taste of India pizza has nothing to do with Indian flavors lol Why did they pick this name? Maybe I will ask one day.

Ordered a pizza for delivery on DoorDash and the order was wrong on so many levels. Ordered it with marinara but got pesto. Didn't see or taste any onions or basil. Didn't want cheddar cheese but got it anyways. I use to be a Aldo's fan, sadly my recent experiences have been disappointing. I hate to write negative reviews but this was not the pizza I ordered. I ate it depressingly. :(And the poem of my review I had ChatGPT write:A pizza ordered, DoorDash used,But wrong it came, my hopes now stalled.Marinara I craved, but pesto was there,No onions, no basil, a sad dispare.Cheddar cheese, unwelcome guest,On my pizza, it did rest.Aldo's fan, I once held true,Now disappointment shades my view.Negative reviews, I hate to pen,Yet this was not my pizza then.Depressingly, I ate my meal,A bitter bite, my discontent real.

I grew up on this pizza as a kid we would get it every Friday when they had a location in the Laurie meadows shopping center. I live in Hayward now and still go pick up their pizza from the shore view shopping center. They have hands down the best pizza crust is always crispy and delicious.

My family has been coming to this place for many many years and so, I grew up eating this pizza, it was basically our go-to. For this reason, I am bias & Aldo's holds a special spot in my list of favorite pizza joints. We always get the Star of India (onions, green bell peppers, black olives, pickled jalapenos). The pizza crust had a light crisp & they didn't skimp on the toppings. Casual restaurant and the service was good this past visit. This was our first time visiting after new ownership & we had no complaints. Pizza came out hot & the owner checked in on us a couple of times. It was pretty much a full house on a Saturday night. There's street parking or parking in the plaza across the street.

Alright I get it. I probably ordered items I shouldn't have from a Pizza place. But why would you even have these items available on your menu if they aren't at least halfway decent.My Dad said, "worst lasagna he ever had. What a waste. Store bought frozen lasagna is somehow better." Worst pastrami sandwich I've ever had. How do you mess up a pastrami sandwich!? Only put 2 slices of pastrami on it is a good start. Then make sure you put on way too much mayo and mustard. Next, add one thin, tasteless piece of cheese. Then over-bake all that together so the lettuce gets totally nasty and slimy. Ensure that the bread is as hard as a crouton. Now, smash it all together as it crumbles all over the floor and sell it for 14 bucks.

Too many issues with Aldo's, they've gone downhill big time!Take out orders not correct.Most significant is they will tell you that they do not believe your complaint.....YES, they have the harshness to actually say that to you.Poor food preparation and very poor,unacceptable customer service. I've patronized Aldo' for 35 years...but the last few instances is enough, I'll never order from Aldo's again.There are many other pizza establishments in San Mateo to choose from.

Service was fantastic as we were constantly being checked on. Our group was made up of exhausted exchange students from 5 countries coming out of the mountains from a failed and wet camping trip. Staff was extremely patient and caring, even though we did not make mention of what we were going through. This great service was on top of a very good pizza that hit the spot with everyone as there were no leftovers. We also enjoyed the environment with plenty of room for these crusty teenagers to stretch out.
