03.01.2025 - Playing tourist for our date day. First, I must say, THIS PLACE IS LEGIT!!!During Chinese New Year Festival, I stopped by with a friend to try their Hong Kong style milk tea as they were rated one of the best in Chinatown. After trying, I 100% can vouch that they make the best Hong Kong style milk tea. Perfectly brewed to taste strong and creamy with the right amount of sweetness. It's pretty strong that you don't need too much of it. This was simply a taste of nostalgia (mmhmm).Fast forward a week, I wanted to try their food with my hubs so we easily made reservations via Yelp. Of course, I had to order myself a cup of their Hong Kong style milk tea to comfort my soul first. Then we ordered the following:Pea sprout with garlic - Very fresh, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Each crunchy bite tasted so earthy and delicious.Honey walnut prawns - Huge pieces of prawns on a bed of clean shredded cabbage and accompanied by candied walnuts. Personally, I wished the amount of mixed mayonnaise and condensed milk were slightly dressed on the prawns because it felt too heavy to my taste. Otherwise, it would have been a solid dish.Bbq pork buns - I'm allergic to pork so I couldn't try, but according to my hubs, it was enjoyable. The size was great!Salt and pepper fish - Fried to golden perfection. I wonder if they use panko crust because it was so crispy. The fish was flaky and juicy. Considering it's salted, we didn't feel that it was too overpowering. It was just the right amount of flavor. Definitely was a star item. We did have to wait a while for our food to arrive, so the staff was kind to offer a complimentary chashu dish. Thinly sliced bbq pork belly seasoned with sesame. Visually, it was very appealing. Again, according to my husband, it was his favorite dish of the meal! I have to say, 606 knows how to prepare, season and execute their dishes in the most perfect way possible. The portion wasn't overwhelming nor underwhelming. It was just enough to satisfy. We shared a bowl of rice, but still had some leftover. We didn't feel the need to balance out many of our order with rice at all. Eugene, one of the owners took the time to ask how we were enjoying our meal. We appreciated his personableness and interest in our feedback. Very nice guy. He even remembered me from a week ago! Also, shout out to our incredibly friendly and awesome server, Michael! Thank you for making our first dine-in experience wonderful. We will definitely be back, very soon, to try some of their other recommended dishes.

Delicious food, modern looking restaurant and fast service. We went there at lunch time on Wednesday and didn't have to wait. After we ordered, the lunch crowd started coming in.- Son of HK milk tea: a must try item here. I liked it a lot. However, my husband wasn't a fan because they used evaporated milk. It was milky but that's what it was supposed to be. - Honey walnut prawn: it's a relatively higher price item on the menu. It was greatly executed. Crispy, creamy, crunchy from the walnut. Yummm- Dried beef hor fun: it had good wok hei, beef was so tender. Overall, we both agreed it was a very solid Cantonese restaurant and would definitely come back to try more dishes here. I also love the story behind this restaurant.

Good Cantonese food...portions were a bit small but the flavors were good. Salt and pepper calamari and wings were probably the best, along with the Singapore Style Fried Noodles.Their HK lemon tea was really good! My friends ordered the HK milk tea, although it was good, they put sugar in it, unlike in HK where they give you the sugar separately and you add it to your taste.Staff were friendly and the place seems to be recently renewed, so the atmosphere was nice and clean.

After seeing their Hong Kong milk tea featured on Instagram, I knew I had to give this place a try especially since I've been inspired by my recent HK trip to search for the best milk tea here in SF. I can confirm that their milk tea is deliciously authentic! I felt like I was back in HK as we drank the hot cups during our lunch and got bottles to go. They had the perfect sweetness level, fragrant smell, and smooth taste. The bottom bit of the bottle was frozen milk tea instead of ice chunks, so the tea doesn't get diluted -- genius! I slowly sipped on this to make it last as long as possible.Food was solid, but don't be expecting cheap Chinatown prices at this renovated cafe. The sweet and sour pork ribs had a delicate crunch through the sauce. The dry beef ho fun needed more smokiness from the wok hei, but I appreciate that it wasn't too oily. The beef was super tender. I'll definitely be coming back because I love their HK milk tea so much!

My friends and I really enjoyed our meal at 606!The four of us came by Thursday around 6:30 pm and it wasn't too crowded. Definitely get the HK milk tea. The hot one comes in a cute cup and the cold one comes with an ice cube made of the milk tea so it doesn't get diluted! It was super delicious. We shared a couple of appetizers and entrees (* marks my favorites)* GP dry fried chicken wings ($16) - these were super bomb!! They were fried perfectly and coated with a delicious sweet sauceOnion crepe pancake ($10) - I've never had these fried before, only pan fried, and I gotta say, I've been missing out!* Salt & pepper fish ($22) - I see why this dish is so popular. They're super crispy on the outside but really soft on the inside606 house fried rice ($25) - this was a solid dish, but to me fried rice is fried rice, it's never too excitingOne friend got the chicken chow mein ($21) and another got the stewed beef noodle soup ($16). I didn't try either but they both liked their food.We ended the meal on a sweet note, with the mini sesame balls ($10). One order comes with a generous portion of 8 balls, and they were a great end to a fantastic meal!I'd love to come back and try more dishes, including Simon's Garlic Chicken. It's one of their most popular dishes!
