Been here few times now and food is great, always consistent. Butter chicken is creamy and chicken is tender and not dry/rough, actually can eat the chicken. Also, it's not spicy so it's perfect for me and my toddler. The 2 dals I got are both really good as well. They pair deliciously with the naans. They changed their menus slightly recently so I'm really sad.. can you bring back the keema naan? Maybe do a weekend special? The keema naan here is the best I've had. People here are also so friendly and nice!

Great food at a decent price. Ambiance: Lots of seating with booths and large tables. Service: Quick and friendly. Food: We got the samosa chaat which was delicious, lamb korma with a hefty portion of lamb and well seasoned (medium was not very spicy though), and the coconut mango lassi which was vegan and so delicious! The garlic naan was garlicky and still held the crispiness when dipped in the curry. The portions were big and surprisingly cheaper than I expected. They even gave us a rice pudding to end our meal.Overall, great place if you're looking for some Indian or Nepalese food! There was a ton of other stuff on the menu as well that we'd love to try in the future!

We decided to try 14 Peaks as we were attending a show at the Brava Theater, and hadn't eaten around this part of the mission before. From the start we were impressed with the incredibly friendly service. To start, we got the fish pakora. Although deep fried, the pakora were crispy without being greasy or heavy, and had a nice fresh flavor when dipped in the accompanying mint sauce. For our entrees, we got the daal makhani and the mixed vegetable curry. Both entrees were very tasty, but our favorite was the daal makhani, which had a nice smoky flavor. We also got a side of garlic naan and Peshwari naan. Although I hadn't had Peshwari naan before and was skeptical about whether it would go with the meal with its sweet flavors, the filling of coconut, almonds, and sultanas was so delicious that it was my favorite part of the meal. Also, although it was sweet, it didn't have too much sweetness to create an imbalance against the rest of the things we ordered. Highly recommend this place for great food and impeccable service!

Did you know there are 14 peaks greater than 8,000 meters in the Himalayas? Did you know that I have not climbed a single one of them? What, do I look like a sherpa? Now I have walked on whatever the trail is that approaches the base camp at Annapurna, but that experience has nothing to do with the name here. Just thought you'd like to know the 14 peaks are real, and eight of them are in Nepal.Oh yeah, I remember this corner space used to be Buttermilk Southern Kitchen. They made pretty good fried chicken from what I recall (review: https://yelp.to/ZVFYxdIGrf), but I guess it wasn't good enough. Either that or the off-the-beaten-track location didn't work. I just happened to be strolling on Bryant from 24th Street and saw it became this Nepalese restaurant. Should I give it a go? It was dinner time so why not. They have quite a robust menu, but I made my choice in mere seconds. I ordered the $17.99 Lamb Sekuwa where they served big chunks of mutton grilling on a piping hot cast iron pan with onions and green peppers (photo: https://yelp.to/urVn0FOwev). The $5.99 plate of Coconut Rice provided the copacetic complement (photo: https://yelp.to/naWAH1OIE_). I didn't miss the fried chicken as much as I thought.FOOD - 4 stars...solid sekuwa delightAMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...it doesn't look that different from the Buttermilk daysSERVICE - 4 stars...quick and quietTOTAL - 4 stars...nice option for NepaleseRELATED - Exploring the Mission? Loved the butter chicken, garlic naan, boiled chicken momos, and gobi Manchurian. They paced each of our courses, starting first with the momos and followed by the gobi manchurian. We stopped in on a rainy night and loved the cozy ambiance. Service was attentive and thoughtful - looking forward to coming back!

Came by with my coworkers for lunch last Friday after noticing that 14 Peaks recently opened (grand opening was 1/5/2024). I love Nepalese food, so was excited to try a new place. The place was empty and service was fast and friendly. We ordered family style and got a few of my favorite dishes, including the butter chicken, palaak paneer, chicken momos, garlic naan, regular naan and a bowl of daal soup for my coworker who wasn't feeling the best that day. The food was very flavorful and filing. I could have cozied up for a nap after eating the food, but really enjoyed our lunch. We look forward to becoming regulars after our first visit.

I live a couple blocks away from here and have seen many restaurants come and go in this location. I was super excited to see this nepalese restaurant open up as the latest addition to the neighborhood, as I love south asian food!I didn't realize at the time but the day I went was the second day they were open! As such, they unfortunately didn't have the momos or the sukuti (two of the dishes I wanted to try) ready yet. The menu was extremely extensive though so there were still plenty of options to choose from. We ended up just randomly picking a house special (chicken sekuwa) and a curry (chicken tikka masala) with a garlic naan to tryThe tikka masala was very creamy but tasty, pretty standard as tikka masalas go. I know that's probably on me for going with a boring order but to be fair they didn't have the dishes I wanted to try!The chicken sekuwa was sooo good though! Suuuper juicy and well spiced and covered in spicy oil. I would definitely order this again!Overall I'm glad this place opened nearby and I'm excited to return -- especially when they have momos!!

Stumbled upon this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by their food. The menu is huge and they have many options to choose from. We ordered:Gobi Manchurian - which was not the best in terms of flavor or texture as I was expecting it to be crunchier and spicier but still goodSamosa chaat - had a nice kick to it, the samosa and chole were cooked well and tasted tangy and yummy The chick combo plate - it was less on the chicken curry but the other sides were plentiful especially the Chana they served was delicious.Dal makhani and garlic naan - total highlight of the food we ordered. I haven't had such a good dal makhani in the city before and I would highly recommend trying if you like it. Their naan is also freshly made and crunchy with full garlic flavor but a bit it on the oily side.Chai - it was served hot, no extra masalas except with some added cardamom flavor I will definitely visit this restaurant again to try other dishes. The owner also mentioned they recently opened up this place and I hope more people get to try their dishes as they're delicious. PS I forgot the click pictures because I was super hungry
