Wilma's Carousel Bar

This place IS A VIBELoved our little date night here.We came with a reservation but they had a few open tables for walk ins as well. I guess it's coz this place is new but it won't stay that way for long and here's the reason:Cocktails; 10/10! Like legit 10/10We ordered:Espresso martiniWilma's French 75Pimms coupeFig and Cig.My husband and I kept debating whose drink was better haha!The ambience was 20/10! The middle carousel bar was actually moving!! The booth seating and the table seating all felt like you are in a carousel. Their food kitchen closes at 10 and we didn't know that so we were bummed but we were able to get their Bignets and they were the highlight of our date night. The Bignets come with espresso dipping sauce and chocolate dipping sauce and even though I'm not a coffee person (I know, I know you just rolled your eyes), I LOVED the espresso dipping sauce more that the chocolate one!Hospitality was 10/10. We saw lots of Bday celebrations and one bachelorette party. Perfect spot to add for bar hopping They are open till 2am and I'd always suggest to get an Uber here. Finding Parking in Little Italy is like winning a lottery Do check this place out and let me know if any of those drinks were your favs as well.Their food menu looked super fun and we will be back for some shareable's soon!

favorite bar ive ever been to! its got a slow moving carousel, the horses above are slowly going up and down, and its super intimatei especially loved the dj, the whole night was vibin' 80s! the staff was super friendly, took our photos, made drink suggestions and even vibed with us in passingwe didnt try the food, but the pimms coupe was my personal highlight!

From Wolfie's to Wilma's (name of the grandmother of the new proprietor), the Carousel Bar concept remains alive under the SDCM ownership group. They have spent some resources to spruce up the interior with more floral decor and revised the menu. The place opens at 4 pm with OpenTable reservations available for tables only. It's first come first serve at the merry-go-round circular bar which still makes one complete revolution every 12 minutes.On the regular menu, a dozen Petits Plats were served plus Steak Frites which was a full entree. Twelve cocktails were available at $18 each. Happy hour begins right at opening and lasts for 60 minutes. Three food items, select red and white wines, and all cocktails were $10 each during the hourlong promotion. I visited in the late evening and sat at a small table with the goal of trying a couple of the small plates.The Shrimp & Grits and the Grilled Chicken Skewers were my selections. The first dish had three pieces of fried shrimp in grits seasoned with celery, sofrito, and tabasco. The last ingredient added a spicy kick. I do wish the shrimp were grilled instead of breaded and fried. The chicken came as six charred kabobs on a skewer with a lemon half on the side and a dipping sauce of pine nuts and pepper. My issue with this item was that the menu description said 'Skewers' as in plural, but only one thin metal stick with meat was provided. Seventeen dollars is a lot to charge for that amount of chicken.I have to give five stars for the ambiance and decor. As for the food, it was limited to three stars because of what I described above. The service was good not great so overall, a four star rating for my experience at Wilma's Carousel Bar was about right.

We came here for dessert and drinks. The amaretto sauce for the beignets really elevated this dessert along with the chocolate. I would come back here just to have it again. The drinks were delicious. My only complaint was: although the virgin mojito was visually pleasing, it lacked the muddle of mint that I desire. Mint was placed on the top as garnish only. Service was great as the host, servers, and manager greeted and sat us. We had a 9pm reservation on Wednesday. There was parking in front but we walked from afar.

Visited this bar after their recent rebrand, really enjoyed our experience and service! We had a few drinks since it was happy hour which is definitely a deal I would take advantage of again ($10 all cocktails and a few of their bites) the pandan colada and Wilma's French 75 were both very yummySuper cute spot with great service, def recommend!!

8/21/2024 was their grand opening and they did amazing! They had a reservation system through open table. The service was super quick and nice! They all look great making drinks and still communicating with the customers. The bar is such a fun experience as it turns. A full turn takes 12 mins. The food was AMAZING. Get the beignets !! The drinks were not too strong and you can taste exactly what the drink is supposed to have. They seem to have an open ish bar. But their pre listed cocktails were great!

Ive seen this place under construction for a while. Details were put into this place that make it unique and the owners went above and beyond. The drinks are imaginative and fun. The food is French Creole inspired! You must give this place a try! Stop in have a bite and a great drink. The place is nostalgic and fun!

This place was beautiful and whimsical! Living my childhood daydream! Entering we have rose and vines covered walls. We sat at the rotating carousel bar and could get a full view of the rest of the bar as we rotate around. They said that you make one rotation every 12 minutes. There were multiple seating sections, one that looked cool was having the carousel horses above your table going up and down. Everyone was so kind and constantly checking up on us to see if we needed anything! We came as a birthday celebration and they tried to get us the best seats possible. I got Wilma's French 75 and it was so refreshing, definitely got myself another! We also got the beignets, and the chocolate and coffee sauce tasted so good I almost got myself another! It felt almost like I was having a nice sweet morning breakfast. This is a place that you should definitely check out!

This place is soo good! Came after the ownership change and you can tell they are putting in the work to be a spot to come to. Happy hour is from opening (4pm) to 5pm and it's a great deal! Get any of their cocktails normally $18, for $10 bucks instead. They did not alter the drinks at all and the bartenders were super nice. Very informative and helpful. They mentioned live music happens out there and surely want to have maybe once of month events where it turns almost into a little upscale nightclub with a dj and seatings.

Wilma's is an experience for all senses - enchanting, whimsical, uniquely beautiful ambiance; extraordinary craft cocktails; and innovative, delicious, shared plates, each one artistically presented. Portion sizes are perfect for trying a variety of dishes and sharing. And save room for beignets!
