Food was delicious, my wife and I got the village fries to share, which had the perfect balance of toppings and fries. For the main course we got a Greek salad, and I the chicken shawarma platter. Food came out very fast and was delicious!Staff was very friendly and service was fast. When the lady at the counter was not taking orders, she was cleaning the restaurant. There was not a single dirty spot in the restaurant. Even the bathrooms were immaculate! Will definitely be coming back again!

A friend and I were exploring the village, asked a local business person if there were any good Greek restaurants nearby, and she recommended Village Kabob. So this is where we came. The good: I had the Falafel Wrap with salad on the side, and I definitely enjoyed the wrap. Full of flavor, cooked just right, and there were a couple of dressings or dips that came with it. I have no idea what they were, but they were tasty. My friend had the Fattoush Salad, and she said it was okay. The restaurant has a pet-friendly outdoor dining area. The not-so-good: There were some communication issues from the start. The woman who seemed to be the only person working there said she'd take our order but it wasn't clear if we were supposed to order at the counter or if she'd come to our table and take our order there. I asked for a bottle of water, and the woman said they don't run tabs. I told her a few times that we're going to eat dinner outside, I want her to add the water to our food order, and I didn't want to wait for the water because I needed to pour some for my dog. She finally gave me a bottle of water and a little paper cup, and we went and sat down at a table in the outdoor dining area and brought menus out with us. After we were sitting at the table for a little while and no one came to take our order, my friend went inside and ordered. The outdoor dining area is in front of the restaurant, between the sidewalk and the street. The tables and chairs are black metal, don't look particularly clean, and they're as uncomfortable as they look. The seat of the chair is on the small side. I expected some noise from traffic due to the location, but I hadn't thought about VERY LOUD MOTORCYCLES occasionally going by FULL BLAST, until they did.I'd order the falafel wrap again, but I think I'd do take-out.

We were traveling in Carlsbad and were craving Greek Food for dinner. Village Kabob seemed like they had such fresh assortment of food and they had a wonderful kids menu as well. Street parking available - we had to drive a block away but didn't mind the walk. It was a chilly night so we ate inside. My husband and I ordered the Mezze Sampler and side of Falafel. My kids ordered the grilled cheese sandwich and the grilled chicken options. The customer service was superb! Very friendly staff - attentive and kind. We didn't even have to get our own waters - they said they would come to provide us with the water! Lots of table options inside and outside. Lots of seating available for various size parties. The mezze sampler was delicious - so fresh and we loved the eggplant! The falafel wasn't bad either! So fresh and crispy. Kids enjoyed their grilled cheese and chicken selections; no complaints from them! Clean restrooms and nice ambiance! Thank you for the great experience!

Awesome food!!! I love Mediterranean food and this is some of the best I've had. Service was great. We had the chicken kabobs and beef shawarma, both were perfect and the bread was made fresh.

KABOB'ing AROUND CARLSBAD (3.75 stars)Baller on a budget! Got me a Groupon of $20 worth of food for only $10. Branching out and trying other Mediterranean restaurants around north county. It's in the heart of downtown Carlsbad (good luck finding parking). Restaurant is clean with a fair amount of seating. Order at the counter and have a seat. :: ORDER ::PITA BREAD... that itself was 5 stars! It comes free if you order a plate entree. It's freshly baked, puffy like a pillow, thin crunch on the outside, warm and hallow inside, and probably THE BEST PITA BREAD I have ever had. I could come here and eat this alone. But what did gross me out... they cycle the bread baskets between customers without washing or removing old crumbs from last customer or swapping out old parchment paper. They literally take the basket from the dirty table and then slap a new bread in it and serve it to the next customer. Who knows how old those crumbs and how many customers it cycled through. I didn't find this out until after I ate my bread and watched them do it to other customers. We don't know where other customers hands have been to be reusing bread baskets like that. SALMON PLATE ($24) - Grilled salmon with fresh herbs & garlic. Comes with basmati rice, salad, and fresh pita bread. Most expensive plate option. About the salmon, it was extremely tender and flaky but wish it was cooked just a tiny tad more. The middle felt a little mushy to my liking. The salmon also had a mild salmon-y taste, also not to my liking. I've had salmon kabob plate elsewhere and the salmons preparation has been better. The rice wasn't mind blowing me. The salad was really good, tart and herbal. Really good tzatziki; creamy and cool and herbal. LEMONADE (~$4) - for a glass of lemonade that's a bit pricy. It's not even homemade, it's just fountain lemonade. I'd like to come back to eat bread and try the steak kabob plate but def not in a rush and hope they clean the bread baskets. I love Mediterranean food but will stick to my regular routine of Panini Kabob GrillUntil the next review....

Came on a busy Wednesday night while the street fair was going on. Parking was tight but found some. The place looked clean and inviting. The decor was pleasant and up to date. We loved the outside seating and bar height spots. We would bring our little dog next time and sit on their patio. The lady at the fro t wasn't as helpful as we hoped. Never tried Greek cuisine so we guessed since she didn't really help or kindly make suggestions. We had trouble using a Groupon so be careful We ordered Baklava and brought it home. A bit expensive but was tasty.

We had a veggie sampler plate with fresh pita. I was excited for the pita expecting that fermented taste of yogurt but this was flavorless and someone forgot to add salt. The baba ghanoush was very good. The tzatziki was good. Both seemed freshly made. The falafel overcooked dry and burnt and didn't taste good. The falafels were so hard that when my husband tried to split one in half it went flying off the table. Dolmada was not good it had some sweet slimy coating maybe honey. But not a good taste combo. We won't be back. In search of some place that gets it all right.
