Vien Dong World Food Supermarket

This review is for Jesus in the meat department! I bought over 15 pounds of eye of round for a big pho get-together I was having. He was incredibly helpful in recommending the amount of meat I needed and *most importantly* offered to thinly slice all of it for me. Some places do that for you and some don't. Most butchers aren't that friendly or accommodating so I usually don't even think to ask. I was insanely grateful to Jesus for saving me a TON of work. Give that guy a raise!

One of the two mid size Vietnamese super market in the East County Little Saigon District of San Diego, I could name a few smaller ones, but for typical Vietnamese folks, they will more than likely to shop here, as it was short distance and convenient, and unless you're looking for something Vietnamese specialty, other than that some items could be higher in prices, if you're gonna buy regular fruits or vegetables, I would say go somewhere else, I have seen cheaper, but if you were in a rush, I guess it's doable here.

This is the sister company to Vien Dong that's all family owned. My usual Asian grocery store shopping for condiments and veggies I can't find at normal grocery stores. They have a fresh butcher counter and anything you may need from condiments, veggies, dried goods, household items, fresh seafood, canned goods, pickled items, etc.

I needed a place to kill some time for a nail appointment. I didn't want to leave. So many different types of Asian goodies to contemplate over. Walked out with more than I planned on getting.

The best Vietnamese supermarket on el cajon blvd! They have a wide variety of every ingredient you would need to make Vietnamese food. They also have a bunch of imported asian drinks that are really nice! Prices are affordable!

Worlds Food supermarket is your one stop shop for all your Asian exotic needs for grocery related items. It has all your basic grocery needs and a bit more if your willing to explore the many options!The supermarket is located in City Heights right off El Cajon BLVD and has spacious parking where parking is easily accessible. During my last visit they just updated there shopping cars to bright yellow and red with Vien Dong written on them. They are affiliated with Vien Dong market and have the same prices and items you would find at the location on University Ave. The stores are very similar with the same items but I would say World supermarket is much bigger and has more of a variety.The stores sells your typical Asian produce, spices, and meats you would find in a International market. The seafood section is huge with plenty of fish and shellfish to pick from as well as the fresh fruits and vegetables. The instant noodle section is my favorite where you can pick your quick minute meal of the day and be satisfyingly full! They have seasonal products as well such as items for the Vietnamese/Chinese new years and many decorations. My only downfall is they dont have public restrooms for use as to when your toddler needs to go you cant but yet go to the café shop next door to purchase a iced coffee and let them do there business. The cleanliness of the store can be a tad bit better focusing on cracks and crevices.Overall great friendly employees who provide good customer service and bags are free! The options they have here are endless as where you can get what your looking for. Great spacious parking with brand new carts is always great so what are you waiting for and head over to this place and see for yourself!

My favorite supermarket in city heights! Spacious, pretty clean and I can find mostly everything I need for Asian cooking. Wide selection of produce , meats & seafood! The staff here is always so kind and I've never had any problems! Pretty big parking lot but can be packed on the weekends/holidays as it is shared with the surrounding businesses. Also great place to buy alcohol. Follow their Facebook or Instagram to see what deals they have going on for the week!

I grew up going to this super market and then somewhere along the line, 99 ranch (not Ranch 99 people lol) started blowing up all over SD so I got converted to that. Albeit 99 ranch still presents better, the selection of meat and viet stuff is more extensive and better priced here! I was looking for pho supplies cause ya girl needs fresh beef ribs and oxtail not frozen. Their meat area is literally heaven, they had sooo much to choose from, much more than your basic supermarket. And they have a really good deal on stock pots, stainless steel for $50? Why yas. Also their fish area does not smell fishy at all, I've been to plenty of places where its just fishy out the wazoo but this one was not. I am converted back to this place. Sorry 99 ranch.

The price inaccurate. Check your recipe before walk out the store.The fruit ,meat is not fresh. Merchandise out of date. Hopefully they should improve now.
