My work ordered several dozen croissants from here for Olympic Opening Ceremony watch party. There were a few options.. original croissant, chocolate or almond. I first tried the almond... and almost died and went to heaven. So good! Arguably the best croissant I've ever had in Southern California. I had two more croissants.. two more almonds to be exact.. I couldn't get myself to try a different one. I just loved the almond one that much.I'll be visiting this bakery in person to get... probably another almond croissant. #obsessedI'll update on the location, service and ambiance after my visit to the location.. I'm excited to try the pastries fresh from the "oven"

Absolutely amazing! I used the French oven for catering for my 30th birthday party and they really went above and beyond. The food was all so delicious and they prepared it beautifully for us on their own platters (which we later returned). For my birthday cake I got the white chocolate crunchy and my guests collectively thought it was one of the best cakes they've ever had. I worked with Kaitlyn and she was so sweet and helpful through the whole process! I wish I'd gotten more photos of the whole spread but was having too much fun haha

We ordered sandwiches and a fruit tart for a birthday lunch. The fruit tart was unlike any other fruit tart I've had before because it used a thick shortbread crust that tasted like it was syrupy instead of custardy. There was plenty of fresh fruit on it. My family preferred this over traditional custard fruit tarts. I also enjoyed my La Ficelle sandwich. It was a little small but felt like real French food with the size of the baguette and the quality of cheese, compote, and prosciutto. On the whole, this place is a little pricey, but feels fancy and is tasty!

I liked the chicken pot pie, the other dishes were okay but I think needed more flavor. Coffee was okay. I'll have to go back and try other things to really give a solid review, since this experience was just okay. It seems to have a lot of delicious items and I'm sure anyone would be able to find something they like. Service is average, line wait is short. It's a small store front cafe that draws the community, good for coffee, cakes, breads, and breakfast.

Man, what a delicious delicious almond croissant. Came here to meet up and chat with a friend over coffee and some sweets. I brought my own coffee and decided to get my sweets to-go. It's a small little joint with parking out front, along with some outdoor patio tables (there's no seating inside). They have a large assortment of pastries, tarts, as well as other items. I loved the almond croissant, but the lemon tart was a hard pass as it was 85% merengue and just a tiny bit of lemon. The unbalanced treat was severely lacking that quintessential lemon flavor. I ended up trying two more pastries but the almond croissant had me return for another visit, and again it was scrumptious. They do sell those starbies style egg white bites, but I was taken back when the associate said, "we make them fresh every week"...EVERY WEEK!?!? I don't care for those pill looking egg bites, but if I did, I'd surely hope they're making them more than once a week. The delicious almond croissant earned them an extra star.Cheers!

This review is simply just for their Fruit Tart.O.M.G.The absolute best fruit tart that I've ever had. I don't what kind of magic the French Oven puts in their baked goods, but whatever it is, gimme gimme gimme. The fruits they use are so sweet and fresh! The syrup that the fruit tart is covered in is amazing (just the perfect sweetness) and let's face it... the CRUST is where a lot of goodness happens lol. And the fruit tart crust at TFO is delicious. It says something when you have an amazing stack of fruit to eat but still very much look forward to eating the crust first.I still have to try their other offerings here but when you got 1 dish that just does it right every single time, then it's already a winner in my book!

Great little neighborhood bakery. There are small tables for seating outside. Counter order and everything is fresh. We love this place!Great place to meet up with friends for a coffee and pastry. Their salads, quiche, and sandwiches are good too. I've bought their pate, soups, and deviled eggs too. Cakes can be ordered online and they are delicious as well. On Fridays, they have weekly pre-made dinners to go around $40 for 2. Order online or in store before Friday.

Your search for SD's best Almond croissant ends here. The French Oven's version is generously packed with almond paste filling, is topped with plenty of sliced almonds, and is composed of those perfectly crisp yet toothsome layers that are the hallmark of a standout croissant. Besides this star of the show, there are plenty of other sweet (and savory) treats to delight your palate. The space is small but when you enter the narrow shop, you are greeted by a dazzling array of sweet treats encased in a tall glass display. The staff was very friendly and there was no wait at midday on a weekday. I tried the lemon meringue tart, chocolate tart, chocolate croissant and fruit tart (over the course of a few days : ) Each was fresh, featured a delicious buttery tart foundation, and had appropriately strong and delectable flavor profiles. I didn't get to try the savory options, but noticed several families happily tucking into lunch items on the outdoor dining patio.Worth the trip north if you're an Almond croissant fan!
