I like this place. I always call to place my order is usually busy during peak hours the wait is a bit long but the food is always good and the prices super cheap.

Delicious taco shop! Close to my work and feel very lucky. This place has delicious shrimp burritos and rolled tacos. There was a fresh salsa bar with a variety of salsa's, hot carrots, onions, and limes to choose from.They also had 3 versions of rolled tacos! They had chicken, beef and fish rolled tacos.Customer service was great! They had seating inside but we got our orders to go. Will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!

Don't be deterred at first by the Chipotle look. The Burrito Factory took over the old El Patron and kept the menu basically the same. They did give it a facelift and made it look more modern and clean. I got the fish burrito and it was huge, well-prepared, and tasty with excellent fried fish. Their prices are reasonable and the service is what you expect from an authentic Mexican taco shop. Just efficient and no-nonsense chit-chat. They also have an excellent salsa bar with tasty sauces. Location-wise, it is technically located in Poway but at the edge of the Scripps Ranch border which is so needed for us Scripps residents. Poway Road has tons of Mexican taco shops already.

I had high expectations for The Burrito Factory and they do a great job. I think the kitchen was overwhelmed and I'm glad I called ahead so I didn't have to wait. I ordered the hashbrown, breakfast, and crispy chipotle breakfast burritos. Our favorite was the hashbrown, mixture was nice inside with all the ingredients mixed well throughout the burrito. Unfortunately I did get several pieces of egg shell in my crispy chipotle burrito which made it inedible. I really enjoyed the salsas, I have not seen a salsa bar that had that great of a selection with fresh tasting salsa. The chili oil was so good and really spicy. I will be back to try again, hoping the execution is a little better.

If you enjoy wet-on-the-inside burritos you'll love this place. The Burrito Factory is a rebranded El Patron. It's basically the same except for the name and a few cosmetic changes. That's a good thing because I always enjoyed El Patron.The food at the Burrito Factory is defined by their gooey cheese and creamy sauces. You'll also get beans and rice inside and probably a generious portion of guac. - The taco bowl is basically the ingredients of one of their burritos over a pile of cheap lettuce. - Nice salsa bar.- Their quesadilla looks like a burrito.- They actually clean out the mud vein (poop) from their shrimp. Most taco shops leave it in.

This burrito-taco shop is a clean Mexican restaurant with your favorite dishes like any other taco shop. It's NOT a Chipotle style restaurant where they make burritos in front of you. The store title is a little misleading. We ordered the 5 rolled tacos special and carne asada burrito. The rolled Tacos were $8 with a drink included. That's a good deal. They had a list of daily specials which included a drink. The carne asada was cooked amazingly and tasted fresh. It was not soupy. It was a good size. We liked it. Service was not a priority, nothing to brag about. A lady was trying to ask a quick question, but abruptly cut off and told to hold on. No " I'll be right with you". It seemed very rude. She asked if they had soup. The staff member said nope. Again, short and uncaring.

I came here after 12 hours shift! Didn't had a lunch break hoping I was going to enjoy a burrito on my way home. I was very disappointed with my order. I ordered a grande burrito California surfing payed extra for shrimp $5.99. It only had 3 shrimp!!!! More fries than meat!! It was dry carne asada. I recommend go elsewhere or just open it before you leave. It was too late for me, I took off I live in Julian. I will never comeback here! The service was pretty terrible the young guy was very impatient and got many other orders wrong! I understand that they wanted to close, but you don't close until 9 o'clock pm!!! Beware of this chain!

The California burrito and pollo asado burrito are on point here! And a great salsa bar.

This place is failing and has now been serving food poisoning. Improper temperatures. Health inspector called. Yikes. Beware

This place is excellent! You can tell it's good just by trying their tortilla. My favorite items are the carnitas burrito and the carnitas street tacos.
