The Burrito City

I've been here 5 times in just a couple of weeks after discovering it tucked into the corner of the shopping center. Potato taquitos, Carnes asada burrito and nachos, hard shell beef tacos, and the plates are all good. The food is fresh and has a lot of flavor. The salsa bar and chips are a really nice touch, which includes carrots and onions! All the crew have been friendly as well. The place always seems clean and bright.

From Avocado I saw the sign and thought the name of the restaurant was unique and was most likely an independent restaurant so let's give it a go. Not to mention the logo itself was clean and inviting.I turned around and made my over, at first glance I was convinced I made a good decision and upon entering the restaurant I was greeted with a clean, bright, and welcoming environment.The menu is diverse and easy to follow. By recommendation I ordered the Poblano burrito, I mean, if you go to the "Burrito City" makes sense to order a burrito; with a choice of carne asada or shrimp, the burrito is matched with rice, beans, roasted poblano, melted cheese, and cilantro sauce, you can then select your own salsa from the salsa bar to add more flavor. I opted for the carne and was delicious and ate the entire, generously sized meal in one sitting.In summary, good food, great service, clean and hospitable. Definitely coming back

This is my third time here. My original review continues to be accurate. Today I tried a crunchy chicken taco with sour cream and it was crunchy, flavorful and exactly what I wanted. Keep up the great customer service Burrito City.

Awesome addition to El Cajon!! The steak inside the burritos and on the fries tastes great and their portions are really good. I have had the carne asada burrito and carne asada fries and both were delicious. My friend tried their surf and turf fries and she said those were really good as well. They offer yummy salsas as well, and you also get a feee little bag of chips with your order. Their service is amazing, and everyone is super friendly! They have plenty of tables inside to enjoy for dine in and parking is great as well since it's in a plaza next to Vons.

Listen up, it's Captain 619. Today, we strolled into the newly unveiled Burrito City on the corner of Chase Avocado in the shopping mall. The joint was squeaky clean, and a classy dame was holding down the register. I went all in and ordered the Carne Asada fries - and let me tell ya, they were pure gold. The portion size was just right, and the price was a steal. My gal went for the fried flour tortilla chicken salad, and she couldn't stop talking about how the meat was so juicy and tender, like a dream come true.But here's the real deal - this joint ain't like the rest. They got a salsa bar that's off the charts. From the sweet pineapple to the smooth guacamole, they got flavors that'll make every wise guy's taste buds dance.This place is a game-changer in the El Cajon Valley, a real boss move. Burrito City is the new top dog in town, and you can bet I'll be back for more of their killer grub, no question about it. And as a special treat, they even offer all-you-can-eat chips on the house. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, right?

I was hiking in the area and decided to try this spot for lunch and glad I did. The portions are generous, fresh & delicious. The salsa bar had plenty or varieties to chose from and I noticed the cashier cleaning around it as well, which was nice to see. My husband had the Surf & Turf Burrito and loved it, commented that it was loaded with steak and shrimp. I had the taco, tostado & rolled taco plate with shredded beef and was surprised with how much food was on my plate. The restaurant was nice and clean, you can tell they keep the place up. The service was friendly and good! I would definitely recommend and be back.

While I was looking for food around the area: this spot popped up. The inside is nice, clean, and spacious.The service is friendly, helpful, and quick. Thank you to the worker for the recommendations. I ordered the Poblano burrito: it came with Angus steak, grilled chili poblano, rice, beans, cheese & cilantro sauce.I do wish there was more meat! Maybe next time I'll ask for extra steak. Was this the best burrito I've tried? No, but the burrito was pretty good and I'd return if I'm in the area. There is a variety of different hot sauces, from mild to habanero. You can't go wrong with any.Overall, a solid 4.4/5Plenty of parking:(I believe there are no restrooms inside).

Was looking for a good place for Mexican food and saw this place had great reviews here and on Google. I got Chille Relleno and enchilada plate while my husband got Pollo Asado burrito. We also got fries and nacho combo with nacho cheese topping. The service was quick and the lone person at the counter was very courteous. The portions were bigger than expected and the taste and presentation were excellent. Most people came for take out while we were there to eat in. The temperature inside was on the higher side and a bit uncomfortable though the food was better than expected. Highly recommend the food and service though best to go for take out rather than dine in.

I really like this new Mexican Eatery. I stopped in for breakfast to have their "Buenas Dias" breakfast Burrito that came with eggs, bacon, salsa fresca, cheese, and fries, but I opt for hash browns instead of fries for $10.65.It's a casual eatery, and you order at the counter. The young lady at the counter was super sweet. At the counter, you will also find a great salsa bar. The breakfast burrito was outstanding. The eggs were very well scrambled and seasoned. The bacon was very flavorful and offered a very good chew and bite. I loved the touch of salsa fresca in the burrito, and the hash browns were a very good choice. They used very good quality buttery flour tortillas. The burrito was of very good size and filling.The place is very new and organized. They salsa bar is great. I liked the hot red sauce and the avocado salsa. They were delicious. The menu offers a lot of items from tacos, burritos, enchiladas, nachos, fries, tostadas, bowls, tortas, salads, combination plates, and seafood.Great place!

Ok soooo, I had the rolled tacos!!! I am picky. They cant be soft and w little meat! I have updated my review to 5 stars!!! The rolled are filled w beef! And most of all, the tortilla was crunchy and light. Not thick and chewy like most. The guac was real guac not mixed w sour cream. Welcome Burrito City to east county!!! The chile verde and rolled tacos alone make it 5 stars!!! The best rolled tacos in East County! I will continue to try other items but I foresee the other item being just as good. Once again when I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly lady at the counter. I ordered and was given chips to eat as I waited. Nice touch. And I noticed lime wedges in the salsa bar. Previous two times in the restaurant there were not limes. Great addition!
