We love coming here for their delicious Temaki! The open-air ambience is lovely, and the service is fantastic. The friendly chef really makes the experience special.

We stumbled on this food truck bc of Yelp, and we were happy that we did! It's a cute little set up off the wide of the road. We lucked out on parking. I imagine it can get hectic given it's next to a main road. If you're concern of sanitation because it's raw fish etc., I say don't! Actually, the owner also owns a unit next door - we saw the two men go in and out between that unit and the food truck. Moving onto service, it was great. They were so nice. We paid at the end so although it's a casual spot, they still try to provide a nice experience. We also didn't eat one of our rolls promptly so the gentleman offered to and insisted on remaking it for us because the seaweed was likely too soggy. What we got:Gyoza - two option: chicken or pork. We got chicken. Good, standard Deep fried salmon temaki - good! Salmon melted in your mouth. It was slightly too much eel sauce for me, but my fiancé liked itSalmon and mushroom temaki - good! Ceviche temaki - good and refreshing. It tasted like something you'd have at the beach. All in all, the fish was fresh. The portions were generous (they provide a little tray to catch the overfill!). My onlyyyyy feedback would be that it would be enhance the flavors with some fresh wasabi was available.

I was really impressed with this food truck! The fish tastes fresh and the hand rolls are huge!! If you order a hand roll, you can choose to mix it with creamy or spicy, which will be an additional $0.50 - $1 extra. The rolls are huge, I had two and shared the deep fried Salmon Temaki (which was amazing) and was so full.

This is a food truck in front of their house. Very limited menu, but I actually like that because it makes it easy to order! There's nothing on the menu you will go wrong with. Everything we ordered was superb and we can't wait to come back to order more. We actually came here and it was pouring rain, so we ate in our car on the street. It is a busy street, so you will be quick to pass it, but like us you can pass it come back around and find parking. (because of the rain I really can't comment on the ambiance, but they did have a small area with seating under the trees. We hope to come back on a day with good weather.

Temakeria is a little trailer on the side of the road. There is no parking lot but there is plenty of street parking along the main road.PROS:- There are 8 types of hand rolls on the menu. Each can be customized to be "creamy" or "spicy" for extra.- Each Brazilian style hand roll is larger than a typical Japanese handroll, with lots of fish at the top.- There are various combos. We got the combo #3 which is $30 for 3 rolls.- The owner was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful at explaining the menu options.CONS:- There were SO MANY FLIES surrounding the tables it is almost impossible to eat without a fly landing on our food. We kept having to shoo the flies away the entire time.- I liked the "plain" salmon + shrimp and ceviche handrolls. They tasted fresh but nothing special. The owner recommended the salmon "creamy" and tuna "spicy". I did not like the creamy salmon at all - didn't taste like good seasoning like some poke places, just plain melted cream cheese...

Saw the huge flags on the side of the road advertising fresh hand rolls off Balboa Ave and had to stop to give them a try! Was really excited to see a food truck dedicated exclusively to hand rolls, especially in Pacific Beach which is known for it's amazing seafood. The sushi chef was very friendly and explained the most popular items on the menu. We went with the grilled salmon hand-roll and tuna hand-roll.After receiving our order we noticed how large these hand rolls are. For a $12 and $13 hand roll, we were not disappointed at the hefty amount of fish they included. However, what were disappointed in was how bland and dry the fish was. The grilled salmon didn't taste grilled at all, was very over cooked and lacked seasoning. The tuna was better but was a very average grade. Definitely expected a more melty and fattier variety of tuna for the price paid and also from a truck that specializes in just hand-rolls.Temakeria won't leave you hungry with their large portion of fish and rice in their hand-rolls. We'd still opt for a hand-roll bar like KazuNori though if you're a true hand-roll connoisseur.

I randomly stumbled upon this place through an ad on IG! A Brazilian take on Japanese handrolls was so intriguing to me and it didn't take much to convince my gal pal to come with me! We didn't realize it was a little stall off the sidewalk but it's the character of the whole shop! The owners were so excited to give us a bit of their history, how they came to this idea, and wanted to share their take. Their hand rolls were massive! It is a bit on the pricier end but it was worth it. We were indecisive on what we wanted and they were so nice to let us have an "open tab" so we could take the time to try out what we wanted. We ended up with the salmon and shimeji without the cream cheese and the ceviche. The fish was fresh and the shimeji had a bit of saltiness which paired perfectly with the fish. The ceviche was the Brazilian take and I liked it! Def would come back to try their other rolls.

Temakeria is a small food booth/trailer located along Garnet Ave in PB. There were a few picnic tables with canopies on the sidewalk if you wanted to eat your food on-site. The menu had eight types of temaki aka hand roll sushi. The versions here were cone-shaped and stuffed with rice, protein, and green onions or cream cheese in certain varieties. The prices were very high compared to hand rolls at local Japanese restaurants. Each one was over $10. For that price, you can get an entire basic (e.g. salmon, tuna) maki roll at some places. The three available combos reduced the cost a bit. I picked the third one which was to choose any three temaki for $30.My selections were Tuna, Shrimp, and Grilled Salmon. I do have to say the cones were large, but that was because more rice was added inside the nori wrapping. The amount of protein was decent, however with such prices, the quality was mediocre at best. You were not getting otoro (fatty belly cut) as the meat in the Tuna which was the most expensive temaki at $13 for the non-combo price. For the Grilled Salmon, I asked for the cream cheese to be withheld. It is an ingredient that should be paired with bagels and not seafood, raw or cooked. All it does is provide filler like the rice and a creamy texture. At high-end sushi spots, you won't find that Americanized component in their products. Without the overhead of a full-service restaurant and the use of average seafood, I struggled to give Temakeria between a two and three-star rating.

I ordered from this place on Uber eats and they canceled my order at the last minute and let me go starving. I didn't get any notification until I went looking into the status of my delivery. Don't order delivery from this place.

Don't be alarmed by the small trailer that houses Temakeria. We arrived and my wife was not happy, but we talked her into trying it. The fried salmon roll is off the charts. The spicey sauce on the deep fried salmon roll is super yummy. We all had different items from the seaweed salad to the tuna rolls and all was super fresh and very tasty. This man deserves a visit from Diners, Driveins, and Dives!!
