Tapioca Express

I love their milk teas, snow bubbles, and crispy Taiwanese popcorn chicken snacks. They have an impressive variety of beverage options.

Major disappointed :( This Tapioca Express has switched up their rice combos... no longer has the steamed veggies/ pork rice/ egg... instead it has a salad (that had no dressing!), a little spoonful of seaweed and kimchi. I had the crispy chicken and the portions are much less. They now serve in these plastic bento style to go boxes. I can't say I am a fan of the new style of rice combos. Not as tasty and much less chicken. I'd rather opt for the snack and complete the rice combo at home :/

Soooo I guess if you order when they are in a rush they don't care to put and the effort in getting the order correct.When I called and asked if the recipe changed, because we only order yogurt frost at this location. I was told that if they are in a rush, they probably forgot. But that when I come back just ask for the fruits. Wow! When I come back? NEVER, new owners have turned this place into a hot mess. So disappointed and feeling ripped off!

My husband and I grabbed the yogurt frost mango and yogurt frost combination. They were delicious, not too sweet and perfectly made. Our bobarista David W. Was very kind, helpful, compassionate, and enthusiastic. He brought great energy to the room and suggested we try the tiny boba because they didn't have the regular sized ones and turns out, I ended up liking it better than the original boba! The boba was soft and sweet, it tasted very fresh. We will be returning. Excellent service, shout-out to David W. Again. Give that man a raise!!!! He provides exceptional service.

I did not fancy this TapEx location at all. My sister was craving their crispy chicken, and on certain food-ordering apps, only the Bonita location seemed to be processing food orders. I would've ordered from the Eastlake location, but to add to what I had said, this location was only doing drink orders.We placed an order for two crispy chicken combos and one crispy chicken snack. The positive is that the black tea and taro tea with boba were good. The negative was that the food was not satisfying at all. I'm used to TapEx combos coming with a side of vegetables, a crispy/runny egg and white rice. I was surprised when I saw minced pork, a hard boiled egg (it is also not a white egg), and non-white/sticky rice that I am used to as an Asian that frequents visits are TapEx. I was so confused on what the minced pork was that I actually called the restaurant to ask. The first person to answer sounded like an older woman that didn't speak English as a first language. She sounded rude and just passed the phone to her coworker (without warning). I had to explain myself and ask questions all over again and he explained what it was. I'm not sure if this is the new norm or this particular location's take on their meals, but it was not enjoyable. The quality of the food was lackluster and the taste was questionable. Craving not satisfied.

Horrible customer service, night shift is great at being horrible, good job! Gold star! We come in and no acknowledgement, no "one minute please", no greeting from this girl. Just me standing there right in front of the counter, and for a while. Yeah... just there, mmmmmmm huh, yep...said "excuse me" to this girl in a nice way, but still no response. Yep, thats cool, ill just walk out. I'll spend my money somewhere else, thanks.

Visited this location on Sunday of April 22nd. From the given conversation between the two employees behind the counter, it is unclear who "he" is and what he confessed to. Nice service with a smile. I enjoyed the elote and the fries I bought as well. Bought some Thai tea and that was also yummy

Had an amazing experience with Isa today she was so sweet and remade a drink for me and she didn't have to! She went above and beyond and everything was amazing!

This is a review I'm really unhappy to write. I used to take my kids to the Tapioca Express in East Lake a couple times/week after school until it closed down. The place was great, people friendly, service excellent and the drinks and food great. good times.Today I was in Plaza Bonita with my daughter and we drove by this TE on the way home. Of course we stopped. Couldn't NOT stop. Imagine the shock when we entered to find you don't actually place an order with a human. You need to hunt and peck through a screen they have setup. It was frustrating to get just the tea entered. turns out it was under "flavored teas". I had three more drinks to go + 4 food bowls. It was just too complicated. And so we left w/out ordering. Sad. It used to be such a great experience.
