Came here at about 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon and the place was completely empty, which was a surprise. The service is attentive and very polite. It's about 82 degrees outside and they don't have any fans or air conditioning running, so the dining room is pretty hot, which was my only complaint about the whole experience. The food arrived promptly and everything was delicious. The naan was absolutely perfect. The portions are excellent for lunch, although perhaps a bit small for dinner, so do be mindful if you want a larger meal. I will absolutely be back, and I look forward to trying the many vegetarian options.

Tandoori House is my favorite Indian food in San Diego. I can't visit San Diego without stopping by and ordering some savory food from their menu. Even if there is no time to dine in, I grab some dishes to enjoy them when I go back home. For this visit I ordered; - Mixed grill; lamb, chicken & beef which came with basmati rice. 10/10- vegetable samosa 10/10. It came with mint cilantro chutney & Imli chutney.- plain Nan. 10/10The mixed grill plate was very flavorful and well seasoned. The quality and quantity were outstanding. The service was excellent. They wrapped every order very carefully. Their samosa was so delicious and in my opinion, it was one of the best samosa I had ever tried. It is a great Indian restaurant to try. I tried several dishes from their menu,in addition to many delicious desserts they have and I enjoyed every single bite.

I used to get Tandoori House during the days of the pandemic and just recently got to revisit it. The food wasn't as good as I remember. I'm glad I got the lunch special price, which is currently $12.99 for two entrees, some rice, and naan. The lunch special is pretty affordable especially given the big portion, but the normal non-special prices are very high. I'm not sure what happened, but the recipes seem different from what it used to be and a big issue for me was the rice had an unusual smell/flavor to it. I ordered the entrees medium-spicy, and it wasn't spicy at all. As for the vindaloo, I prefer the frozen vindaloo from Trader Joe's. However, the naan was good, and I know their garlic naan is even better. Service wasn't unfriendly, but kind of awkward. It makes more sense for this to be a fast casual place where you order at the counter and they give your food in to-go boxes. I will be expanding my search for a new Indian spot.

Food was good. A little dark, but it was nighttime and rainy. You have to go outside to access the restroom which makes me wonder if the inhabitants in Sports Arena use it regularly so I ended up using the restroom at Taco Bell. Overall the food was good and pretty much what I expect from an Indian restaurant. We don't usually stray much from our usual order of samosas, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and naan. It's a good option if you're in the area and craving Indian food.

Before covid, a group of seven or eight used to go to Tandoori house all the time. In 2023, we started going back again, but the problem is they never open at 11:00. The business class people need to get in and get out within the hour. When you show up at 11:00 they're mopping floors and telling you to come back 15 minutes late later. In January 20 24 we had the same issue. They decided they wouldn't go that back there anymore. I went again, and in March, they didn't open on time. I went there again today, June 6th. They are mopping the floors. They're definitely not thinking about the business class. Don't get me wrong, their food is amazing, but their services have really dropped heavily. I'm so disappointed. Would love to have the entire team go back there again. But they refuse.
