Su Su Sushi

Budget friendly sushi - hard to find this day and age!! Cheaper than whole foods roll and much tastier as well. They have grab & go options or you can order off the menu. Feels like part cafeteria / park sports restaurant. Rolls both tasted great! Would be back.

Not sure if the workers were arguing but it definitely seemed like it. We were not greeted and they just stared at us. When I said hello she just grunted. I ordered a coconut boba since we just stopped in from our walk. Neither of the workers said a word the entire time. The boba itself wasn't edible. It was watery and tasted like straight sunscreen. And the boba was MUSHY!!!! Like really soft...The food might be ok, but we don't care to find out. Horrible experience!

Sushi was bland and boring. Service were terrible, and the cashier was so blasé that none of them greeted us. Did not even want to serve us beer on tab. Place was empty when we walked in with barely anyone inside, maybe cause the atmosphere seemed to be sucking all the energy out of people. The only good thing was the clean washrooms.

A cheaper option for sushi in the area and convenient if you're looking for grab and go sushi. On the fridge counter they were offering Pork Buns, a few basic rolls, and appetizers like gyoza and krab salad. You will need a few minutes to read the menu as the font is small but they have many options. We noticed they use a machine to roll the sushi, so definitely not the authentic roll you are looking for, however, pieces come out neat, the sushi rice is good, and the nigiris are big for its size but a decent cut of fish. We ordered the Salmon Combo and Hot Crunchy Roll. Salmon Combo (4/5): Six pcs of salmon and tuna sushi, two tuna nigiri, and two salmon nigiri and drizzled spicy Mayo and eel sauce. All of it was pretty balanced and tasty.Hot Crunchy Roll (4/5): Imitation Krab with sriracha and spicy Mayo. Topped with delicious fried onions. For a deli type of establishment, it's not bad, however, it's not as cheap as I originally thought it was. For what it is, I give it a 3.5. Another downside is they charge extra for things like spicy mayo.

Food was good, on the cheaper side but good value for your dollar. Service was a bit off putting though, the staff didn't really talk and looked quite upset all the time. Very cute place however and has a cozy feel. Overall, good value place for a quick bite.

My friend and I had a wonderful meal here. The spicy tuna rice cake, toro, and red snapper were fantastic. Our sushi chef is always wonderful and kind. The only thing I would change is updating their wine menu. I ordered two glasses of one particular wine. When the bill showed up, they had charged me more and told me they no longer had the one I ordered. Nobody came to let me know or ask me if I would like to switch. Other than that, we had a great time.

I've never had a sushi roll as delicious as the Golden Burmese Roll!!! So fresh and delicious and it's even easy on the eyes because its so colorful. This sushi spot is in a great location and has a great atmosphere! Great selection of beer and sake! The owners Nu and Su Su are wonderful hosts. We will be back!

They make rolls with soy paperr!!I was very surprised and impressed because i just moved here and i really don't know anything about this place.They really did patiently listen to my picky taste and try their best. I'm very happy and glad with the results.The rolls are very fresh and yummy good and their price is pretty fair for a restaurant in downtown. Can't wait to try it again!

Golden Burmese RollAmazing!!!Crab, salmon, tuna, avocado, & mango.No rice. Also had nigiri and pork bun. So good!Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I visited San Diego and looked at a couple of spots on yelp for sushi, this place caught our attention and it did not disappoint!! We highly recommend! Everything was made to perfection, very fresh and flavorful. We got the tempura shrimp roll, Volcano roll & Dragon BBQ eel roll as well as a side of edamame and seaweed salad which also exceeded our expectations. Everything such as tables and the cups were very clean and service was quick! The men who helped us were also very helpful in giving suggestions on choosing what to get. This is definitely a go to spot that anyone should try! And as my boyfriend said, it was "Oh so yummy in his tummy".
