TL;DR: Good quality food if not a bit pricey per person. Tons of seating, live music during the week and on weekends, and lots of variety for specials. The Good: the quality of food is great, seemed fresh, still hot, and well-made. I had the cowboy burger, my wife had three California burrito, my kids had the kids meals, with others having the enchiladas and shrimp cócteles. Prompt service too. The Bad: in spite of the good quality, my beef on top of the burger was overcooked, making it a tough eat. Outside of that, it's a great place to have a meal in Jamul.

I have lived in East County my entire life. I am always looking for something 'different', something that stands out from the rest, a hidden gem, if you will. I had heard of Steele 94 many times and heard great things about it. I/ we finally went out to try it. I was in love with the place the second we walked in the door. It had a great feel to it and it was very welcoming. Speaking of welcoming, the owner Miguel greeted us and we were sold! We had breakfast as it is my favorite meal of the day and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed our time there so much, we returned for dinner. Once we got out of the car we were hit by the intoxicating aroma of the outdoor grill. Guess who was manning the grill, that's right- Miguel! We had a tremendous dinner and a great evening. I do believe I have found that hidden gem I have been looking for.We will be back, and very soon!

Definitely a neighborhood place. Very relaxed and just overall friendly people, both staff and patrons. Good American bar and grill. Had waffles with sausage and they were good and fluffy. If you're a meat eater and you like bbq sauce then get the cowboy burger, the tri tip added was really good. Heavy on the bbq sauce, so you may ask for it on the side, but definitely done skip it. Get extra napkins. The fries were battered and seasoned, hot and crispy. We try to stop here when we are in the area.

Captain 619 here! Cowabunga, dudes and dudettes! Today, at the encouragement of my gnarly US Marine brother, Jose, I cruised on over to Steel 94 on Jamacha Road in Jamul. I was the first wave rider to paddle into the joint, but not long after, my rad partner in crime, my surfer-chick wife, caught the wave and joined me. The vibe was as chill as a perfect wave, more like a cozy beach shack than your typical bar. From the moment we rolled up, we were greeted with mega-watt smiles and stoked hospitality. The place had an open-air feel, like the ocean breeze blowing through. Our server, Melissa, was as sharp as a fin on a surfboard, taking care of our every need. Behind the bar, Justin whipped up a killer strawberry lemonade for my wahine, using fresh mashed strawberries. The culinary maestro in the kitchen was none other than Humbereo Mendez. Now, let's talk grub, dudes. I went for the biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, country-style hashbrowns, and bacon. It was mind-blowingly delicious, beyond any words I can drop. I'll definitely be hanging ten at this place for a long time. We'll be rallying our crew to join us here, no doubt. My wife, being a bit particular, opted for the huevos rancheros with country-style potatoes, like a homemade surf stew. It was like a Mexican masterpiece, elegantly crafted. The flavors danced on the taste buds, a true symphony of deliciousness. We were absolutely blown away, and let me tell you, it's not easy to impress us surfers. We give Steel 94 a solid five stars for their outstanding food and top-notch service.I can't recommend it enough, dudes. If you haven't caught this wave yet, make it your next destination. It'll soon feel like home in the surf shack, just like my Marine bro Jose said. So grab your boards and head on over to Steel 94 for a righteous dining experience that'll have you riding high on flavor.

Really good food full bar. Great drinks or I should say bartenders. No drinks are good unless it's the bartender. That's good. So when someone says there's great drinks they really mean there's great bartenders. They're pet friendly which is the mega bonus very reasonably priced. I'll definitely be making this my go-to spot when I'm around. I had the bloody Mary's and the caliche shrimp (culuchi

We stay in Jamul often and have wanted to try this place for a while now. Our daughter came to visit so we couldn't wait to bring her too . What a disappointment. I understand staffing issues these days and we are very patient having been in this kind of business in the past. But I don't believe this was the reason for our experience being not up to standard for the kind of restaurant it is.First of all we never knew who our server was. Someone took our drink order, then another took our food order. We were looking so forward to trying their waffles after seeing all the advertisements of them. Everything came looking incredible. The plating was pleasing to the eye . But then it went down hill from there. The waffles were just ok, not fluffy or light as we thought they were going to be. The butter and syrup were in little take away containers. The butter was very cold not melting on the waffles. Too many little throw away packaging just adding to our landfills and trash problem . The home fries were good a little dry. The biscuits and gravy looked amazing but lacked flavor, the biscuits were a little heavy .My husband got the Fried pork chop with country gravy, he liked it ,he just felt it lacked a little flavor as well. The best thing we got was the omelette , that was very good. Our food came one plate at a time , delivered by an older gentleman I believe was trying to help. We had to ask for refills of beverages and condiments. They are pricey for breakfast ,which I would not have minded if the food was good. They do give nice huge portions though .The table next to us had issues as well getting food they didn't order . As of now we will never patronize this place .

Discovered this cool place coming home from Jamul & Sycuan Casino. Great atmosphere, great food, family oriented. Felt like we were enjoying our meal and drinks in our backyard patio setting on a Saturday morning. So mellow and relaxing. Brianna was very kind and professional. Enjoyed owner Miguel coming to speak with us and give us a history of his establishment. Very personal . Will definitely return and tell my friends about them.
