I'm embarrassed to admit that I've lived very close to Senor Taquero for well over a year now, but hadn't yet tried it. This morning we decided to order up some late breakfast/l early lunch and I decided to give them a shot in my search for a new local taco shop. After checking the menu online we called in an order for the works breakfast burrito, a famous breakfast burrito and a shrimp quesadilla for my stepdaughter. The gentleman on the phone taking my order was very friendly, repeated my order and asked me if there was anything else. Customer service is sometimes lacking at places these days, so it was a pleasant experience.I picked up the order after about fifteen minutes and everything came out exactly as we expected it. The burritos were huge and very filling and didn't taste like they were made of cheap ingredients. The shrimp quesadilla was also a good size and came with a side of sour cream and guacamole. I also noticed when I walked in that they had a good selection of Mexican beers and sodas along with other items like Gatorade and energy drinks. I ended up also snagging a few bottles of Jarritos to go as well. They also have several types of fresh salsas, spicy carrots, peppers, limes, etc and I like that they give you a bag and don't up-charge you for carrots and salsas. Everything from the time I called my order in to when I walked out the door with my food was a very positive experience and I'm glad that this place is so close to my house. I will definitely be back to try some of their other plates.

I walked in with modest expectations, and while the small eatery had its quirks, the overall experience turned out to be quite enjoyable.Ambience: Hot and SteamyOne notable downside was the lack of air conditioning, which made the inside of the restaurant feel significantly hotter than the already sweltering 98 degrees outside. This left me feeling a bit uncomfortable while I waited for my food. Given the heat, I opted for a to-go order instead.Food and Extras: A Flavorful TreatDespite the initial discomfort, the food was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the steak and eggs breakfast burrito, which turned out to be quite satisfying. The burrito was generously sized and filled with well-seasoned steak and eggs. Each bite was enjoyable, offering a nice balance of flavors and textures.While waiting for my order, I took advantage of the fresh tortilla chips and small salsa bar available. The chips were crisp and complemented the salsas nicely, adding a tasty prelude to the main meal.Final ThoughtsSenior Taquero may have had a few drawbacks, like the sweltering interior, but the food made up for it. Friendly staff, salsa bar and free tortilla chips.I'm always a fan when there's free tortilla chips to munch on, with fresh salsa bar that has multiple items on top of salsas.The staff was friendly, food arrived reasonably fast, multiple customers coming through, so must be a preference for a lot of customers, but I'm personally not that much of a fan.We got the carne asada burritos and carne asada fries and we were both not that impressed. It was a huge plate, very generous with food, but flavor was just lacking, compared to other places we've been to. Also, the fries seemed a bit under done.Extra star for them because they have real horchata and this is so hard to find now. It's usually not sold or they have those fountain version, which is bleghk.I'd go back here again just for the horchata.

Food was on point! I got a fish taco, adobada taco, and carne asada. Food was hot, fresh, and delicious. There wasn't AC so it was a bit toasty inside. My horchata was okay. Food was fast. Overall a nice place to stop by and get tacos .

Very solid taco shop. I got three tacos: carne asada, adobada, and fish. Really enjoyed all three; flavorful, with a good portion of meat. About the only negative are the free chips, which were a bit thick and dry. I prefer a lighter chip. Other than that, I was totally satisfied.

Fast service and great tacos! I got 4 adobada tacos and although the marinade was a little different than what I am accustomed to, they were delicious! The sauces provided at the salad bar were good too but my favorite was the brown one which is probably the spiciest. I love how they have grilled peppers at the salad bar, they're the perfect side for tacos!

We ordered the Shrimp tacos and the rolled tacos.Shrimp tacos were okay but the rolled tacos were just not good. Tortillas around the sliver of meat was rock hard and difficult to chew and take bites of. There was no flavor and it was just a chewing exercise.There was a very small salsa bar and hard cold chips available. I took two small containers of salsa and then the employee immediately closed the lid on the salsa bar, which seemed odd. I can't see coming back here.

The food was good! I ordered a vegetarian taco and cheese enchilada the cashier said I couldn't do that. I said that was ridiculous. I think It was the manager sitting behind me said something to him. I forget exactly what now. I did get my vegetarian taco and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans.
