Corner store w wine, liquor, beer and anything you need. Deli in back w fresh sandwiches too. I saw ham, turkey, roast beef and Italian in the cold section along w fresh hummus, salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, macaroni salad. (I didn't see potato salad - someone else said that one was good). Nice to grab a quick sandwich near old town Mexico where it's mostly Mexican sit down restaurants.

Hear ye, good folk! 'Tis I, Captain 619, who doth regale thee with a tale of a hidden treasure, nestled within the very heart of San Diego, Wine, & Spirits liquor. Lo and behold, this humble abode doth also house a neighborhood small grocery store, whereupon I chanced upon a most wondrous gem. By happenstance, whilst skirting along the 5 freeway, my gaze didst alight upon this establishment, situated near downtown San Diego. Aye, 'twas a sandwich shop, concealed within these hallowed walls. Nadia, the fair owner, didst bestow upon me a perfect Turkey sub sandwich, lovingly ensconced betwixt a hoagie roll. For a mere sum of $10.99, I was granted a foot-long marvel, a surprise of awesomeness that didst delight mine senses. Verily, I declare that we shall return to this sacred place, to haunt its halls and partake in its offerings once more. Well done, I say, well done!

My co-workers clients bought us sandwiches from San Diego Wine & Spirits and I was so excited about it! So when I conveniently forgot to pack a lunch, I knew where to get it!I called the store in advance and gal said it would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes. Perfect timing, when I got there my sandwich was ready, with your sandwich order it includes a cookie or slice or pickle, I opted for their cookie this time. I ordered their Tony Gwynn on rye, you do have the option of choosing your bread or turning it into a wrap. The Tony Gwynn sandwich is make up of pastrami, melted swiss, horseradish and avocado. This is obviously a hot sandwich and it was amazing! The size of the sandwich was really generous, the cuts of pastrami were thick and the horseradish gave the perfect kick! I would definitely order this sandwich again and it was only $8.99! There's an assortment of drinks, craft beer and sodas along with European chocolates! I ended up with my sandwich, a bag of hot cheetos, a can of prickly pear san pellegrino and kinder chocolates for $14.If you're in the neighborhood and want something tasty and fast please make your way here!

I have shopped here for many years. Love the large selection of premium wines. Their sales people are knowledgeable and on numerous occasions steer me to delicious Zinfandels and Cabs. It's my 'go to' for BBQ wines, special wines for gift giving... Thanksgiving wine needs- and wines that fit my budget price range!

Cranky guy who works there charges different amounts for anything that isn't marked depending on his mood on different visits, but always much more expensive than other stores

Store was clean, well stocked, and free parking there. We got sandwiches with a smile and a nice wine & fresh items grocery selection. I recommend to all our Old Town friends and visitors! It's south of Old Town Avenue on San Diego Ave.Not to be confused with the other one called "Old Town Liquor & Deli" at San Diego Ave & Old Town Ave -under the El Agave restaurant is NOT a deli an now only a tequila store with poor customer service.

Great deli in Old town. I worked nearby and order and either sandwiches or wraps. Sooo good! Prices are fair for the large sandwiches or sometimes to big to eat at once. Lol. Get a frequent buyer card and get a free one. I think after 10 orders. I usually order 1-3 times a week.

New ownership!- Thrifty ice cream by the scoop and a large selection of cold treats inclduing healthy slections- Boar/s head meat and cheese deli, sandwiches made to order and include chips, no lines- Deli case w/salads (mixed greens, chicken salad..), yogurt and a large selection of drinks - Clean new flooring, lighting, and new aisles with a large selection of candy and snacks- Every Ballast point beer you could want in the cooler- Still has a lotto machine for people who like to waste their money (u can win if u don't play)- Friendly, normal staff. No weirdos. No more weird customers. Safe place. - ATM machine- A huge selection of liquor in a new wood stained display (see pics)- Always a parking space - The staff will help you select any wine that you'd like.- They have free wifi which you can use on their patio, just ask! This place is a good alternative to Old Town Liquor. There is no line (yet) and the deli meat and cheese are high quality, plus they got ice cream. And a knowledge staff when it comes to red wine. Family owned and operated. Right by my office, perfect for me and tourists alike.

The morning and night staff are related I think. I think the nighttime guy is the son of the daytime guy. But they act completely different. I shop here a lot since I live right around the corner. The night guy is always chill. Is nice when I approach the counter. I always buy craft soda and he tells me when he orders new stuff and when he'll be getting restock on other items. Whenever I come during the day there's an old man that works. Extremely rude. Sometimes I pay with EBT and he treats me poorly. Rings it up as credit, I pull out my card and he scolds me because he has to redo the transaction. Saying "you should've told me you were paying with EBT." As if I'm some how lower then him because of my form of payment. Today I came in to pick up two Mexican cokes. It around 2. I pulled out my card, told him EBT in advance and he just grunted at me. Then I asked for a bag. At which point he rudely responds "have you paid yet?? You'll get a bag when you've paid." I don't say anything. I pay and wait. He pulls out a PAPER bag and pushed it towards me. He demands to know if I want a receipt. I tell him No and stormed out. Needless to say it was pouring rain and the paper bag ripped walking home. Come to this place at night. The customer service is way better. The old man that works here in the day time is an a hole. The sandwiches suck. And are overpriced. But they always have craft soda. So there's that.
