Papa Duke's Deli & Grill

Short and sweet review. For what it is, a hidden business park deli, it's darn good. Every time we come here (which is often), I tell myself I'll try something new. Then inevitably cave and get the same italian beef sub I always get. The spicy peppers are HAAWWTT but so flavorful, it gives the sub some edge. The "jus" comes out piping hot and full of flavor, it could be sold as a soup. And the portions are big, I end up destroying the sub in a sitting and then not eating anything for the remainder of the day.The cashier guy with the mustache is so friendly and humble. You frequently see him cleaning tables, taking in trays, tidying up the place when no one is in line to order. He's got a smile on his face and greets everyone who comes in.The interior screams typical deli. They've got the game on, there are random framed photos, posters, and images scattered around the walls.Be warned though, they can be pricey. But for a once in a while lunch treat, this is a great spot.

My husband works in Ramona and always goes to Home Depot out here for parts and always sees this deli. This was one opportunity we were able to come try it and glad we did, it was definitely fresh and choices from sandwiches/salads to Pizza, deserts to name a few. Healthy choices especially for the gym members right next door to it. The owner and employees were friendly and very accommodating, though we sat out in a day that finally broke from the unusual record temperature heatwave, he & his staff kept checking on us & every one that sat outside.You can choose to sit in or outside, it's not as small as it would seem on the outside, spacious and clean.Definitely keeping this on mind since hubby loved the two piece Pizza special- old school style pizza with huge slices and delicious

A great local deli with delicious sandwiches and delightful friendly service. I've tried a couple of their hot sandwiches so far and they were both "write-home-worthy" and big enough to be a "some for now some for later" meal. A great place for lunch.

Sweet little spot! We went to the safari park and we live in San Diego so I wanted to find a halfway spot on our way home for some lunch. This was a great spot! Burger was so good! My son got the pizza special and I tried his pizza and it was delicious. Glad I looked at Yelp to help make our choice! Thank you Papa Duke!

Great little sandwich shop! Delicious sandwiches. Friendly owner, he even gave us a sample of pizza which was amazing! My husband is from NY and he's a sandwich snob and he loved it! We will definitely be back!!

Great pizza, great cheesesteak every time we come here the sandwiches are absolutely delicious.

Nicks viva chicken sandwich was really good. The ingredient worked well to make a nice flavor. However, some if the meat was a bit dry. But, still yummy!

Their service can't be better. Very friendly Gentleman looks like he owns the place. Seems like he's from Brooklyn. The bread taste amazing a little tough for my taste but that's the way this bread is the lettuce is ham, salami, cheese, and the tomatoes are perfect! The sand which is nicely sliced, absolute amazing ambience is like a deli that you can eat at they do have boars head meat and cheeses, so it is very good quality. Looks so good inside I ordered a pizza also so that's to come later just a pepperoni to see what I like but the sandwich is solid. Definitely a place you want to visit if in the area reasonably priced quality you can't beat it I support local. They've been around here for nine years close to the Home Depot next to a place called body for life really good spot- try it out you won't be disappointed. The pizza is great!

I have been to Papa Dukes several times after the gun range with my friend. Each time was awesome my sandwich brought me back to my NY roots.But my interaction with Ron makes you feel like family and very willing to please. He's just a great person I will go out of my way to support his Deli.
