This place has really become one of my favorite local spots.Great wine, great food, super friendly service, reasonable prices (for San Diego), a fun vibe, killer weekend entertainment, and dog friendly! To top it off, we've never had much problem finding parking, unlike most other places in North Park. My husband and I are from Nor Cal and have been spoiled by the amazing wine up there, and while there is a lot of decent stuff in San Diego, the wine here isn't fully what we're used to. We also like very different things (I like bubbles, buttery Chardonnay, and dry, spicy reds, while he likes sweet or floral whites and fruity, spicy reds). I'd say Negociant makes some of the better wines we've had in So Cal (and surprise, most of their grapes are from up North!). They also have a really nice variety, something for everyone. The Conclave, a red served chilled, is my favorite. We love to come on a Friday or Saturday, bring our dog, order wine and appetizers, and discover whatever amazing local artist is playing music that evening. It's not a wild party, but a relaxed, light-hearted vibe that's hard not to enjoy.

Our favorite local urban winery!!!!! We've always loved Negociant!!!! I can't wait to see what new additions and concepts the new owners are bringing to this wonderful place! I am very excited for the transformation!!!! The food additions are very much shareable and cooked to order! Wine selections are pretty diverse and caters to all palates!!!

Good service but the food menu has shrunk. The best dishes are gone. Not a place for dinner anymore. Neither the regular burger, nor the impossible burger were available. Their wine by the glass is sometimes old/stale, thus I recommend going by the bottle. The music can be great but sometimes extremely loud... think concert-loud on a small space. The ambiance is best during brunch than on the evenings.

The owners are the sweetest! It's so easy to unwind and relax. You almost feel like you're stepping away from the outside world and tucking yourself into a cozy corner of it. If I didn't live so far, I would be coming here on the regular :)

I love Negociant! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The best time to come here is when they have live music. I feel like the food can be hit or miss. I've come before and planned to eat only to find out the kitchen is not open that day, but when that has happened, they let me bring in food from outside. Wine is reasonably priced. I like doing the wine flight so that I can taste a variety of things before settling on a glass of something.

Popped in quickly for some cocktails. Staff were kind, pleasant and helpful. Adorable outdoor patio. Loved the music playing and the aesthetic. Items for sale like dried crackers, pickled veggies and wine decor. The sangria was absolutely refreshing! It was a 10/10 for me! Just pour some in a few gallon bags and I'll be on my way! Look forward to returning!

I'm getting this place three stars because I thought that the environment and the experience was not what I was expecting. I went for brunch during a time where they had live jazz music, which I was very excited for. Starting from the top, parking at this location is going to be difficult because it is in Hillcrest. Once you do get into this winery, it is a very modern vibe with metal chairs and metal beams, but could be cool depending on the vibe at the time. The server at the bar greeted us, and we let him know that we were there for brunch and that it was our first time, and he told us okay, have a seat wherever you'd like. No welcome or explanation of how brunch works, and it was kind of awkward. We sit down, and there are menus telling us what you can order for brunch, and to circle which items you want, but then they were check boxes next to them, so we didn't know if we were supposed to circle or checkbox. The menu said things like breakfast special, but didn't tell you what was in the breakfast special. It's a à la carte options and then no price. I don't remember exactly what it looked like but it was just very confusing and we also weren't told that we had to go up to the bar to give him the menu, and we didn't have pens to indicate on the paper menu what items we wanted. Just a mess. Our server and addition to not being very friendly or warm, also smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. Not judging anybody for their lifestyle, it just was so present that you could taste it. So I don't know if he was going on constant breaks or what, but it was a lingering scent that never went away every time he visited the table. Then the band. Oh, the band. They were super good, really talented people, even though the elderly keyboardist fell asleep at one point, or at least seemed to. The problem with the band is that whoever set up their audio had no idea what they were doing, there was screeching and inconsistencies in the sound all throughout brunch. My previous work was in the entertainment industry, and I understand that it can be difficult to set up the sound properly in a metal space like we were in, but it honestly did not sound like a professional set up their sound. Instruments were getting feedback sounds, the singer was being drowned out by the instruments... It was noticeably bad.The food is super good! The food is really good. The wine is really good. I think that even though it's a little bit pricey, it's San Diego and so the price seems consistent with the rest of the area. For this reason, the place is still getting three stars for me. For me to give this place a higher rating, they would need to have friendlier staff interactions, more clear guidance on how to order, or just a regular menu, and whoever is setting up their live music needs to at least not have the speakers screeching the entire time and going out. I literally was covering my ears at certain points because it hurt, and I don't want to exaggerate and say that it hurt the entire time, but the fact that it happened more than twice is crazy.

I love love love this place. It is such a cool jazz wine night vibe on Thursdays. I always feel like I'm not in San Diego it gives off old school New York. They literally played the sex and the city intro and it was iconic. They also have bomb food ( the burger is to die for!) and I used to not drink wine but theirs is such good quality I enjoy drinking it. The service is also unbeatable the owner is the sweetest!!

Invited a group of friends for our first time during their trivia night and we had such a blast! The winery is very cozy , rustic and modern all at the same time, and the staff Morgan (the Bartender ) was a sweetheart. they had a huge selection of beer wine, and other craft ciders for those that didnt like wine. The trivia night was very fun, entertaining and the other guests were very friendly and chill. As a small business owner I can tell the owner has put a ton of thought and effort into the customer experience so I strongly recommend we all support this local business. We can't wait to go back next week and see whats new!!!
