I finally find my go to spot for carne asada burritos. I have had some of the best carne asada burritos I have eaten in a long time from here.They also have a delicious torta and fries special . This is a tiny taco shop , so I call in my order and drive right up to their drive through window to pick up . The woman who takes my order is the sweetest, she greets you with a big friendly smile every time I see her .

Don't let the outside appearance fool you, this is one of my favorite "hole in the wall" Mexican restaurants. The business is family owned, so you'll see the husband on the grill and wife running the register, both welcoming and friendly every time. The portions are generous, I've never left this place hungry. I've tried quite a few things (other than the burger) and have enjoyed all of it. The carne asada is always flavorful and the birria is a favorite of my friend. Highly recommend the steak breakfast burrito or Nacho's Burrito, with carne asada. The salsas are both tasty and have a little kick to them. The also have a drive thru if needed!

We DoorDash from here when we want simple, solid nachos. I do wish they sent some limes along with their nachos because I always want a good squeeze of acid, but their nachos are simple, delicious, and hit the spot. We will order again!

You know, there are chile rellenos and then there are chile rellenos. This place need to do better at making traditional chile rellenos. I asked them to make me a chile relleno burrito which came with rice, beans, pico, a white sauce, and the chile relleno. Everything was good about the burrito, except for the chile relleno itself. It was smalless chile relleno I have ever encountered. I was this tiny little objects inside an enormous burrito. See the pictures for reference. Unfortunately, they also used the Anaheim pepper which is not the traditional pepper that explodes with flavor like el chile poblano. In addition to the wrong chile, they not only used the wrong kind of cheese but they barely put any cheese in the pepper. They used cheddar when they could simple used Monterrey Jack blended with some Mexican cheese to give more of that authentic appeal.If they plan to continue to go this route, they should at least put two of the tiny anaheim stuffed peppers and really stuff them. The rest of the ingredients in the burrito were very good. They rice was tasty, perhaps a little over cooked, the beans were good, and so were the pico and cream. Oh yes, the chips and salsa were very good too.Service was friendly at first, but when I made a constructive comment about the chile relleno, I can tell the old guys demeanor changed. In the end, I am just trying to help. Remember, the chile relleno should be the star.

I love how quick and convenient this drive thru taco shop is for me. They are always so friendly and nice. The carne asada street tacos are my favorite and their horchata is very good as well. Everything there has been good and can't beat the fast friendly service!

I had high hopes for this place.Unfortunately after a few visits I have to say it's a NAY for us. A few months ago this place was highly recommended for its fresh tender carne asada. Hot fresh and worth every penny. After my own 2 experiences I was quite disappointed. We spent almost $90 there today and I just couldn't accept the quality of food that I could barely chew and definetly didnt enjoy. Food Quality: The carne asada was very very dry and crispy and chewy. (Gentleman I believe was the owner stated he has switched suppliers and he was aware of the quality change) We ordered 3 orders of carne asada fries, a California burrito and a surf and turf burrito. shrimp was flavorless- basically steamed and added. Not seasoned nor grilled. I hated to complain because this is a small family owned business but when placing such a large order and costing my family almost $100 I had to let them know. Gentleman offered a refund but said I needed to come back in to do so. When we arrived we realized we could have done so over the phone ( didn't need the card) so I was pretty annoyed. And we brought back the food. I asked the lady over the phone if the meat was previously cooked and then reheated. She denied this and said it's cooked to order. I let her know it was definetly cooked a while ago. Who knows maybe other items that are cheaper may be better quality but the main carne asada definetly has changed. I amPosting my meat from today. And close ups of pics posted by the owner 9 months ago. I let them know that I know they're a small business but to spend that much twice and to basically not be able to eat it was a NO for me.

Found this little gem off the main road. Small family owned taco shop with a drive thru, inside/outside seating, authentic delicious food cooked to order, friendly/fast service, reasonable prices, and low key ambience. The food was delicious! It was fresh, had great flavor, decent portions, and there was a variety of options (soup, burritos, tacos, quesadillas, fries, nachos, rolled tacos, tortas, mini tacos, combos, kid options, and breakfast). This place is owned by a husband/wife couple, who work well as a team. Wife is taking orders, cleaning, prepping, and very helpful and kind. The husband works the grill and cooks the food to order. They have a location downtown that has been open for 15 years and now opened a spot in Santee. There is inside and outside seating available. Drinks for purchase and the place is clean. Good food options, friendly service, and decent prices. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

Had a hankerin for a burrito. G-Map listed. SO glad we tried. We don't get to Santee often, but this would be worth the drive - even off-the-path. Very friendly and responsive staff. Fast kitchen work with large portions. Our burritos were full of flavor on the meat - not just added around it via adders. Been there 3 times (due to distance from home) and are working through the menu. Everything has been great. We do prefer more substantive, thicker guacamole, but flavor was spot-on. Looking forward to our next adventure when in the area.
