Purples, reds, oranges and fuchsias. At the end, not only we get nutrition through the palate, the eyes need their vitamins too, and The Monsoon Group Catering delivers Indian glamour galore! I have been several times in the Monsoon restaurant in Gaslamp, but never until last Saturday during an event at the San Diego zoo I had the opportunity to try out their catering. It was the most popular food stand, the prettiest and the staging was awesome (even if the "fake Indians" were in reality some Mexican employees, very cool, we had some laughing about it!). Food was good as usual, not too spicy to make sure it caters unaccustomed to spices American taste, but again the best was that guy offering bindis to all the girls, reaching to them, the statue of a Hindu God, the mantle cloth with very Indian decorations and also the very tall man that was posing to the cameras with a warm Namaste. Now, please, someone invite me to an Indian wedding catered by Monsoon!

Wow! Got to have the best wedding food I have ever had! The food was delicious and artfully displayed !I would not hesitate to hire them or refer them!

Rakesh was AMAZINGGG! We had all our food catered from him for 4 of our wedding events (including mexican food at a pool party), and EVERYONE is still talking about the food at the wedding! From his different food stations at the sangeet night, to 7 different items at the pool party, to cocktail hour with a bunch of items including chili mogo and pani puri shots, and a full north indian spread at the reception, every single item was amazing. We so badly want to throw another party just so we're not busy with wedding stuff and can try all the food that everyone is raving about! Thank you Rakesh for doing such a great job!

Rakesh and team are just absolute professionals. We had our daughter's wedding over 3 days at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego. We had full traditional Indian wedding and Rakesh catered every meal. The variety and flavors of the food was absolutely amazing (not us saying this, this is what we have been hearing from all the guests).Rakesh is a gem of a guy. He is full of great ideas and he knows the hotel staff so well, and they all loved to work very closely with him. If you are looking for lowest cost basic average quality Indian wedding food, he may not be your choice. But if you are looking for a classy, professional guy who really cares about the quality, display and overall superb service, you cannot find a better Indian caterer in Southern California.

It has been a while but the memory of flavors, taste and service still lingers in me yearning to go back to good old San Diego to taste Monsoon. Just like Monsoon in India, the dust soaked rain perfume, cool breeze following tropical heat- the ambiance flavors, taste and feel gives certain pleasure. Food is superb in all categories. Rakesh and the whole Monsoon team,Thank you sooo much for catering at our wedding and reception! As you know, your restaurant has been one of my favorites since I was young, and to actually have you guys come out to orange county and cater for my wedding was just amazing. It has been over a week and I keep getting calls/ messages/ emails asking me where we catered from because everyone LOVED the food and of course your outstanding presentation. Your food is has a different touch then the typical punjabi style catering.Thank you Rakesh for being such a nice person and for really putting in your extra effort for making everything so perfect. Anand stole the chocolate samosa from my plate so I didn't get to try that, but the lychee mousse was delicious! I keep telling Anand that I wish I could go back and be a guest at my own wedding/reception so I could enjoy the food. Monsoon group catered our wedding 3 weeks ago, and they delivered beyond our expectations. They are very easy to deal with, brought in the best Indian food of San Diego and even brought a tandoori oven for fresh naans. Our guests were very pleased with the food quality, innovative dishes, attention to detail, presentation and decor. Kudos for running such a great business! Highly recommended!
