What an absolute treat!!! My friend and I went in for a quick slice of pizza before a concert at Viejas arena and were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the size and flavor of our pizza slices. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, and the ambiance, especially the cozy two-seater table tucked away by the window, added to the charm. There was also a ton of beer/ wine available for purchase. We can't wait to return and explore more of the menu!

I came here a bit randomly on weekend before heading out to down town to check out Comic Con. Being in the neighborhood I was always a bit curious to this place and wanted to see what the slices were all about becuase while there are numerous pizza options, there aren't any by the slice places around. I was greeted very warmly at the counter and I place my order for some slices. One thing I don't like is not seeing an ordering menu with options for the slices, or not seeing prices. I also didn't see a tradtional glass case with pizza slice like you would see at NY style pizzeria. In any case, I get a cheese, pep, and a sausage. Grab some drinks from the cooler (also no prices), take a seat near the window. 10 or so minutes later we get our slices on some foil on top of some metal pizza pans. It looked like there was a giant cheese pizza that they just add toppings to and re-heat. The slices are huge and if that is your jam, you'd be happy. The crust was soft and saggy - there was no folding going on because it was so floppy. No crisp, no crunch. Toppings were pretty mediocre as well. Very greasy - although generous. Overall, it was disappointing but edible. At the very end when I paid, I was a bit surprised that it came out to well over $7 bucks a slice and with the two drinks and some chips to go, I was out over $30 bucks. For that, I could've gone next door to Il Posto for a legit wood oven Neapolitan pizza and grabbed chips at 7-eleven. The staff was super friendly and the location is great. I just wish the food was better and the cost for the food appropriate for what it is. I still would've tried it, but had I known it was $7/slice I would've just gotten two.

Respectfully, this was the worst "Italian" restaurant I've ever been to. I will not return & I will warn family/friends. We came on a Saturday night & the fact that it was dead should have been a red flag. We ordered the bruschetta as an app and it was mediocre. It was served on a white piece of bread which I could have just bought from Vons. Extremely disappointed. My dad then got his shrimp scampi that was a soup? He hated it. We then got chicken parm sandwhich as well as a chicken parm entree. The marinara was sweet and not good at all. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this place and wasted $100+. The service is great, the people seem nice but the food is god awful.

Only went here because my friend has been coming here for 15 years. Price wise f food wasn't too bad. But when I grappled an ipa on my way out, the cans don't have prices on them. Thought it was gonna be somewhat reasonable, I think I grabbed a vodoo ranger. I just found out I paid $8.95 for a $3 beer. With that being said, I don't think I'll be coming back. It's ridiculous. They might as well use a gun if they wanna rob me.

Great place, great food. Sammie is nice and we catch up on things. My good friend, Joe marillo, came here for years. That's how I know of it. We, are always welcome, with open arms. You can't put a price on that! Pizza very good whole or slice. Wine list is great from many countries and local Vinyards.

Found this little gem when I was waiting for our reservation at Mothership! I was quite hungry and craving some food and saw they had a liquor store / restaurant here. The staff is amazing and so kind + fun. Everything is made to order, including the pizza slices! I must warn that the pizza slice is massive, I had to take it to go and it fit the whole box!

Excellent beer selection for such a small location. Grabbed a unique caramel cider. The service was really good and the guy at the front counter was very friendly. The inside is so cute! It has a full restaurant inside but also a full liquor store and a board head sando place, great prices, would definitely go again.

First of all, our waiter was fantastic. Fantastic. Super attentive and accommodating. And friendly, just the way you'd expect a family run, neighborhood place to be. I ordered Meatball and Ricotta pizza (my favorite) and they nailed it. I got the 14 inch pizza and there was plenty to take home for breakfast and lunch the next day. My partner had the penne with the blush sauce and chicken. He thought it was a bit light on the chicken. But very good. And next time he'd ask about getting a larger portion (yes at an additional cost to be fair!) We both left too full to have dessert. But from take out I know their baklava is homemade and amazing. As we left we passed by the kitchen and thanked everyone for a great meal. Everyone smiled and looked so genuinely happy to interact with their clientele. Are their "better" Italian places in SD? Everyone will have their opinion. Do I want to come back to This place because they made me feel they cared about us as customers and the food was pretty damn good? Absolutely.

$7 for a a slice of pepperoni pizza that was undercooked and had no flavor It tasted like one of the ragu make your own pizza kits. The dough was undercooked and soggy. Would have been better off going to little caesars, at least I would have gotten a whole pizza. Even a frozen tombstone or Tony's pizza taste better. For those you that were in the navy the best way I can describe is it tasted like messdeck pizza. Guess that's why the restraunt was empty during prime dinner hours and all other restaurants around were busy.

Got a pizza slize for $7. Very pricey and not very good. Nothing special about it. No flavor what so ever. You are better off going to buona forchetta around the corner.
