Fast Service ordered a cali burrito & here's my breakdown-Price: $12.65Fries: Medium fries/ soft 2/5Size: Larger size 4/5Salsa spice level: No salsa Bar: Red: 3/10 Flavor is ok Taste: It a basic burrito with good flavor. No Gac(extra). Larger fries and a bit heavy on the sour cream. A good salsa and crispy fries would but this Cali over the top. Price is on the higher side but it's a larger burrito. Fast service. Overall 3/5

Located next to Gotcha boba tea shop. Lots of parking, gets a tad difficult to find spots during lunch/dinner rush.Burritos - disappointing Tacos - good. Really big portion. Carnitas good. Carne asada needs more flavor, maybe some pepper?Rolled tacos - hot and fresh, good portion/nicely sized but didn't like the lettuce/tomatoes and the guac was watered down.Salsa - good nice heat lots of flavor

First time at this shop and I have to say, one of the best Carne Asada Fries I've had. The fries were crispy & seasoned, good amount of meat/toppings, the portion was enough to share between my daughters. Two thumbs up from my kids, because that's pretty much the only thing they eat from the taco shops.

One of my favorite spots for their Two Piece Beef Tacos Combo Plate that comes with rice and beans. The carnitas taco is better than the other taco shops in the area too. Carne asada tasted a bit on the healthier end. I have had the burritos before, but it left me feeling disappointed.I am a regular now, but I faintly recall avoiding Mauricio's for a disappointing burrito in the past. One day, an office buddy actually suggested that Mauricio's was good and to give the plave another chance. When we had it for lunch, he was disappointed with the burrito, but then realized what made the place awesome was the tacos. Third time was a charm. Tried the tacos and have been a fan ever since. Friendly staff. If you want beer, there is a brewery(?) next door.Parking tends to vary since there are several restaurants in this center. The back does have additional parking.

Mauricio's reminds me of the kind of Mexican food that SD is known for. The portions are ginormous! The seasoning of the meat was perfect. The nachos still have an excellent meat to chip ratio. They have two kinds of salsa, both of them are good. We usually get the Maurico's burrito because it's epic. It's their version of a surf and turf but next level. There is a delicious chipotle sauce in it and fries...need I say more?? We have been here a few times and have never been disappointed.

I was super disappointed in this place, based on the good reviews it has. I got a fish taco and a super burrito with carne asada. The fish taco was ok at best. The flavor was bland and was overwhelmed by the tartar sauce that is put on it. The super burrito was honestly not good at all, which I hate to even say. I couldn't even finish it, which is extremely rare for me. It was flavorless and the salsa didn't help at all. The carne asada was cut into strips and was chewy. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back to this place again.
