Mary's Donuts

I've been coming to Mary's donuts since 2012 back at their old location in Santee. It's really great that they have branched out and have a store in Lakeside now.Parking is a little weird. They have a lot in the back but if you're lucky you can get a spot on the street I saw they have deli and breakfast lunch menus so I'll have to stop in and try them. Donut case is always impressive on what they offer but I usually stick through my usual order of a maple bar. I decided to get an apple, fritter and man are they ginormous! Honestly, the size of your face and they taste so good! The service is so quick I waited, probably less than a minute before I was helped by one of the employees. I've been to the Santee location at 2 AM and they're always still so nice and welcoming despite the odd hours. Makes me happy to support them throughout all these years and see them expand and grow! Keep on going!

While the jelly filled donuts are good. The other donut place my brother likes to go to actually puts more filling inside the donuts. And while Mary's seems to have a larger variety, I think I'll stick with the other donut store. One of the other issues with Mary's is trying to find a parking spot and depending on the time of day, that part is really inconvenient. Don't get me wrong, these donuts are good and if you're close by just go ahead and go to Mary's.

Extremely polite staff. Donuts and sandwiches are worth the detour. They have a sweet patio out back for folks to enjoy the yummies immediately.

The sandwiches here are a good size. I know for me I was shocked to see how pricey their menu was but I think that it was totally worth it. I got the Veggie sandwich and my partner got a breakfast sandwich. I really enjoyed how fresh my sandwich was and the breakfast sandwich was very savory and had a good kick to it with the chipotle mayo sauce.I would come back here to try other things on their menu.

Doughnut Wonderland Extravaganza!Mary's Donut - where donuts meet destiny! The place is so welcoming; I half-expected a donut-shaped red carpet to roll out. The back patio is like the VIP section for donut enthusiasts - donut disturb, we're munching! We tried the maple bar with bacon bits, and it was like breakfast and a party in my mouth simultaneously. The apple fritter was so divine; I'm convinced it's a gift from the donut gods. But hold your taste buds, because we also tackled the Ruben sandwich - it's not a sandwich; it's a delicious wrestling match with your appetite, and the appetite loses. Massive, messy, and marvelous! The food is a steal, the staff is friendlier than a doughnut with a smiley face, and those donuts? They're the real MVPs. Highly recommend - it's like a doughnut hug for your soul!

Stopped by this morning, picked up a dozen sprinkled donut holes, which were obviously delicious. I also got The Veggie sandwich, $13.99, this was so gross. The onion bread is thick, and chewy. The spread made the bread soggy before I could even get home. Mostly that bread was horrible, I ended up throwing it away. Wasted $14. Wish I could go back in time!

Lovely staff and family friendly atmosphere. The prices are decent but a bit higher than I remember for just doughnuts (inflation I'm guessing). The doughnuts are very fresh and tasty, just know that the staff is young and probably new so be patient as they are young and super sweet. Love coming here on Sunday mornings ;0) updated payment methods available also.

Rudest young girl behind the counter and the audacity to ask for a tip on the machine when paying. She seemed annoyed she had to even help anyone. They are also charging surcharge on cards.

I'm not a big fan of their sandwiches. But they do have really amazing banana nut muffins if that is your thing. The donuts are pretty decent, but i typically always go for their muffins that are moist and the perfect amount of sweetness.
