Mad For Cheesecake

The manger I think didn't catch her name, Lea, John and Trojan are great! Everyone is all very welcoming and helpful. The options were explained and everything was delicious. We got the Yaki Pudding, Cheese tart and Ah-Boong. The Yaki pudding was the just right amount of sweet and similar to Filipino style leche flan. The cheese tart, was so sweet and savory nicely balanced. The Taiyaki is crispy and soft in the middle. Everything was so yummy. A perfect Sunday after church treat.

This a super cute Japanese desserts place in Carmel Valley area. It's counter service and mostly a takeout place. In addition to desserts, they have milk teas and drinks.My daughter found MFC on TikTok and really wanted to try their two-layer Japanese cheesecake, which is a not-to-sweet two-layer cake of a creamy cheesecake and a sponge cake. The cake base is pretty bouncy and not dense, it melts in your mouth along with the cheesecake. We also ordered the Uji Matcha Tiramisu, which my daughter said was tasty, and a fun blend of the matcha taste with smooth creamy cheesecake. This location also had cold drinks and we ordered the mango ice blended and the taro milk tea. Both were well made, lots of flavor and well balanced. The location wasn't too busy and service was quick and attentive. The Bonchon Chicken place next door shares staff, so just left them know if there isn't anyone behind the counter.

This review is based on the soft serve Tayaki only. We did not try the cheesecakes. But. The prices of the cheesecakes were high compared to other Asian similar places in SD. The soft was very smooth, creamy and sweet. The fish cone was fresh and chewy. Mine was Ube Aboong. The ice was very smooth and creamy and too sweet. The ube flavor was barely present. The cone was filled w custard. We had to wait 10 mins for our icecream, because they make the cones fresh and they come out warm. One of the better cones ive had. My girlfriend had Cookies and cream Aboong. Again the "cookie" was barely cookie flavor was barely present and was overwhelmed w sweet cream flavor. The ambience was inviting and laid back. I will be back to try the cheesecakes at some point, but I probably wouldnt return for the ice cream. There are better places in SD in my opinion.

I stopped by here to grab some cheesecake for a party and for my hubby's dad's birthday back in February. They have quite a lot of options, so I wasn't sure what to get!For my FIL, I got him their newest flavor, the double chocolate cheesecake. He loved it! The Japanese was okay, but all 3 cheese tarts were great! I tried the chocolate, matcha, and regular tarts. On my visit I got a strawberry lychee for myself and a brown sugar boba for hubby. The drinks were a bit sweet though. The yaki pudding cheesecake was so cute! The taiyakis were delicious and filled with Nutella. Overall, I would definitely come back here if you are craving for cheesecake- the double chocolate one was my favorite!

Saw this place on one of the Instagram pages I follow marvelous muncher so he hasn't steered me wrong so I pulled up. I got the regular cheesecake and a butterscotch latte and I wasn't the biggest fan. When I hear cheesecake I think of New York cheesecake or something close, this was like an angel food cake and a pound cake had a baby. The coffee was mostly sweet and had no strong coffee flavor which is what I like. Not bad at all but not for me and that's ok , you should definitely try it to see if it's your bag.

A decent dessert place. We got the taiyaki with custard. The taiyaki comes out crispy and has great texture, the custard wasn't as good or creamy. The place is a cute shop with good amount of sitting room.

Came with a girlfriend who was jonesing for something sweet after a savory lunch, and took a sip and couple nibbles of her order despite my already full tummy (oh the things I do for Yelp ;)...Cute, clean space and fast service. Matcha Latte was as expected and fine if nothing special, but the Baked Cheese Tart was quite delicious and surprisingly sweet. Only negative was that it was rather difficult to remove from its container - the tart shell kept sticking to the edges, resulting in quite a bit of work to actually eat!

I wasn't impressed Ice cream flavors can be found anywhere and the waffle cone wasn't anything special The matcha cheesecake is frozen and well when unthawed it wasn't good Price per slice is 10.50 and the cake itself is two slices total it that for 21 something Maybe the drinks are better but I will not been returning to find out As I can find those same drinks closer to home

What a great little spot that HITS THE SPOT! Super cute and chick, it got busy really quick as soon as we arrived, and were told it would be a 15-30 minute wait for our goodies but they came out way faster We enjoyed an array of different beverages Tip: don't drink a Thai milk tea at 8:30 pm unless you plan to stay up all night. Yes! I was a victim of this! We ordered a box of 5 taiyaki filled with custard, flavor was delicious, however the inside wasn't cooked all the way and it was a little mushy, not sure if this is how they make them here but from other places we've tried it's not the case. The double chocolate cheesecake is amazing! I wish they had non-frozen options available in order to eat there since they have ample sitting (it was 9 The ah-boongs were delightful however, and they offer many flavors to chose from for your fish filling and the frozen yogurt, plus toppings of your choice. Yum! The place was clean though the tables looked visibly clean as well but they were sticky. Napkins were not available to just grab as needed and had to ask for some, no biggie but waiting to get napkins instead of just handing them to customers or making them available would enhance the experience as it's a basic thing that should be available at a food facility. They close late which is awesome! Specially if coming from a late dinner, good spot to have desert at! Awesome this came to National City for sure! More yummies close to home!

The inside was decorated nicely with plenty of seating. Went in around 6pm and got the Nutella filled with milk ice cream. It definitely tastes just like regular milk. The staff were nice.
