It's a fair 9" burrito.. not that small as some people reviewed it to be.

I've been here a couple of times. The carne asada tacos cost $5.99, are huge, made with double corn tortilla, guacamole and pico de gallo, didn't find them tasty, also tried it with the available red and green salsas, but it didn't help. The milanesa torta was good, and tasted better with the salsas. The horchata water was good/ok. The cashier/server is nice and adequate. Place does not look appealing either inside or out. Great location, for the convenience of people at Civic Center, for which I'll continue to check it out every once in a while and try something else.

Lucys Taco Shop is located on C Street in Downtown San Diego, serving the community tacos, burritos, and classic Mexican dishes. I came through on a weekday right before the lunch rush and was able to order right away. They have your typical Mexican dishes such as burritos and enchiladas, and they also serve breakfast as well. Inside is brightly painted orange and yellow and has beautiful Hispanic decor to set the ambiance. I went ahead and ordered the California burrito and decided to dine in. Right after I ordered the lunch rush, I came in from all the businesses around but mainly from the San Diego Court that is directly in front of it.My California burrito was ready in no time and was presented nicely cut in half and ready to be eaten with red salsa to complement it. The burrito came with Carne asada, French fries, and cheese. The meat was seasoned well, but there was no snap back when chewing it. While eating it, the meat seemed extremely soft and mushy. The French fries balanced everything out and paired perfectly with meat. The cheese was extremely melted, which had a nice cheese pull when eating it. The tortilla was hot and toasty and grilled to the right degree, but I felt it was a little dry, and it needed a more lard to flour ratio.Overall, it was a solid good spot for a quick lunch that tasted good and easy on the wallet. The customer service was great, and the lady working the register and taking orders did an awesome job providing service to the citizens of San Diego.

Lucy's Taco Shop is located downtown on C Street a couple of blocks away from the San Diego Superior Court so it's a perfect spot if you have jury duty. It's a colorfully decorated business with a typical Mexican food menu. A lot of people take their food to go. The counter service was friendly and quick. I ordered a Carne Asada Quesadilla which, while not the best I've had in San Diego, was pretty good. It's a solid choice if you are in the area for any reason. There isn't any parking available so it seems like most of the customers are working downtown or walking over from the trolley.

Came here to grab a quick lunch. The location isn't the best, but close enough to the city hall so that you feel safe. I think most people grab n go here. Menu options have plenty of things!Allen ordered a CA burrito and it as the size of his forearm. HUGE! Only for $11.98 too! Worth it. No guac inside, but tons of meat and fries. The red hot sauce they give really has a nice kick to it. I ordered a carne asada torta for $12.50. I really enjoyed it! A lot of meat, melted cheese, refried beans. Slight bit of salsa. The bread is quite oily and soggy, but I'd prefer that to dry bread that hurts my mouth.Would I come here again? Honestly, I would lol. Would I bring a huge party here and say its a must try in SD? No. But this is a good spot for 1-4 people and if you're not picky about how fatty your food may be. I definitely had to take a nap after this haha!

I've passed by this taco shop for years and finally came in for a pick up order of rolled tacos for lunch. Downtown prices as a bottled soda, tacos, and rice ran me $18 after tip. The rolled tacos were actually decent and I enjoyed them so I may have found a rolled tacos fix if I want to get some near work. May have to try the other staples here soon.

Very convenient location if you are visiting superior court of san Diego.Small place, fast &friendly service, order at counter and can eat in or take out. Lots of menu options - tacos, burritos, quesadillas and more. Made fresh. Homemade salsa was quite spicy! Food was very good.Neatness could have been better and salsa could be more flavorful.

Where do I begin. I had been told this place wasn't the greatest, but I was hungry and figured I'd find out for myself. Prices on the menu shocked me a little as they are a bit high. I ordered the carne asada fries, and a large Jamaica and took it to go. Opened my food and took a couple bites. Food is cold, cheese was thrown on top of the guac and sour cream so it wasn't melted. The meat is honestly odd to me. A mushy consistency that i just can't get behind. Also seriously lacking flavor. Chips look and taste as if they came from a bag instead of being made in house. I'm also getting an odd after taste that just isn't good. My Jamaica was $6 for the large and it's lacking in flavor. The service was good though, cashier was very nice. I will not be back, and will be tossing a whole order of carne asada chips. Bummer I spent too much money on this.
