Los Panchos Taco Shop

This is probably the best taco shop around for a quick bite of Mexican food. Prices are good. No matter what food we have gotten is has been good. The staff is friendly and accommodating, so much so sometimes you forget it's just a taco shop. Place seems clean. Items I would recommend that I always go back to are:-carne asada torta-breakfest Torta-carne asada fries- beans (refried or pot) Still working our way to try a bit of everything. They also offer you a sample size of pot beans for you to try. They do play louder than usual Mexican music. So if you plan on eating their take that into consideration. Everyone I've seen eating there do not mind it at all. Over all I would recommend this place over Taco fiesta as their food seems to be cooked better and more consistent in quality from order to order.

I've been coming here since I was in high school. This place has gone down. Today I witnessed the cooks walking in the back with beers in hand. Which is disgraceful. The original lady who helped was awesome very polite and accommodating. She stepped away and a gentleman with glitter nails and eyelashes took over. He asked if we needed anything I said salsa and limes please. We came back with only salsa, I politely asked for limes to which he rolled his eyes and said limes.... I said umm yes ... please limes.... so he then took his sweet ass time to get them and tossed them at me instead of handing them to me. This place used to be my stop at least 2 times a week, but since the staff doesn't care anymore and seems to to care more about having a good time at work then to actually work. Do better los panchos.

Make sure to check your order before you drive off!! I would say that almost every time that I have been at this location, they screw up my order. For instance, the other day I ordered the Carne Asada plate which is supposed to have the meat, guacamole, pico salsa, rice, beans and tortillas. Half of these items were missing when I got home. I called to talk to the hateful blond manager, who told me that she was sorry, but said that I either had to come back at that time or later on just for the missing items. I asked her that being that they ruined my meal, could I please get comped for another meal later, she said no. Only the missing items would be given. I say that she is hateful, because almost every time that she takes my order at the drive thru, she messes it up. When I hear her voice over the speaker, I think to myself, is this going to be right this time? I don't think that it is a language issue, since she repeats it to me, yet gets it wrong.This wasn't the first time this has happened, I have been coming here for the past three years. I only kept coming back because it is the closest to my house. I would say that at least 4 out of 5 times something is missing that I ordered. It could be that if you don't ask for any changes to the order, you MIGHT get what you ordered. This last time is the last time. The economy sucks right now and I fork out to way too much dinaro, to be getting such Mal servicio {bad service) and wrong orders. Living in San Diego, there is a plethora of Mexican food restaurants. There is almost one on every corner. Two of which that have just as good food (but has way better service) is Sombrero's or Cotixan. Plus Sombrero's has a free club that gives periodic free food!! I think I will be going to those two from now on. Adiós para siempre!!

I really really really want to love this place. The food is actually pretty solid, but it is expensive for an off the beaten path taco shop. The decor is typical So Cal taco shop with palapas out front. The rolled tacos were $8.95 and they charged $2.00 extra for a little guac. Still, based on taste alone I would have given them a solid 4 stars and I'm being generous with 3. I've never been at a drive through before where they accept Apple Pay, but don't bring the machine to you to complete the transaction. The cashier took my entire phone all the way into the far side of her booth. It timed out before she could complete the transaction so she handed it back to me but I noticed it was on a different credit card than the one I had selected. Granted, it could have been an accident, but it still made me uncomfortable. So after two faulty attempts where she handed my phone back to me, I decided to provide an actual credit card. She put my credit card in the machine and then left the register to assist a guest who had walked into the store. Eventually she got back to me and gave me my order and returned my card. Again, I'm sure she was just super busy but it left me with an uncomfortable feeling nonetheless. Yummy chicken rolled tacos though.

Not the most enjoyable experience having to go back to my construction shift after this. The salsa provided with the chips was light and spicy. Mini birria tacos surprised me with how tender the meat was but lacked flavor. I also ordered a Baja Burrito which tasted great at first with a nice smoky flavor, however, it gave me food poisoning and made me feel very sick the rest of the day. Moral of the story: Don't order the Baja Burrito.

I've been curious about this taco shop for a while . I drive by it every time I take my mom to Kaiser Zion . The woman that helped us was very sweet . The food was average. The rolled tacos are big and they give you a lot of the toppings , my only complaint is they use hamburger meat instead of shredded beef. We also tried their beef taco , cheese enchilada , rice and beans combo . Their beans are delicious and the taco is delicious too. The cheese enchilada wasn't warmed up enough and rice was okay. I would ask for a salt packet if I eat here again because the food is on the bland side . But I know some people can't eat any salt , so I respect that possibility they are being respectful of peoples medical conditions.

I was so hungry after a long day that I cruised by Los Panchos.I made sure to take photos even though I was so hungry and exhausted from a full day.This is an updated review but I got to give them five stellar stars because they certainly raise their game.I've noticed the consistency is there, and even simple things like a few old tacos and a bean burrito just turned out outstanding!I asked for cilantro sour cream rice and beans and cheese in my burrito. And that's a simple order but it was just so incredible not just because I was hungry but because every individual ingredient was perfectly executed.And I want to thank the cook at Los Panchos that gave me a ton of cilantro cuz I absolutely love it!One word of advice is that you should really strain your spicy habanero sauce so that it doesn't have those stringy chili pieces in it. Yes, put the hot sauce through a fine strainer ( food processing the hot sauce is not going to take those stringy pieces out ).*That is a pro-tip and it will absolutely improve your salsa!!So overall this is another five star rating and I absolutely go out of my way to go to this little taco shop they really have their act together.

Their bean and cheese burrito is served room temperature/cold. The beans are not warm and the cheese is cold resulting in the cheese not melting and making the beans around it cold! Told the lady and she said "oh yeah the cheese doesn't melt in the bean burritos" so... that's the standard here I guess! The beans taste good but I would really like them actually warm! Took it home and microwaved it...

Service is excellent! Large diverse menu. I had chicken tostada and very good for a great price. It was a little too salty so giving 4 star instead of 5. Steady pace of patrons but fast service and delivery of food. Will be back to try something else.

I should have read the reviews....not all taco shops in Daygo are good....wow can't believe I had to say that smh!
