Food 10/10Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10Recently came here happy hour and had such a good time! Our cashier was a sweetheart and great at answering questions I had about the happy hour menu. My bbq pork sliders and fried pickles were scrumptious! Paired it with a happy hour wine as well. All hit the spot! I'd definitely recommend this place for Happy Hour and looking forward to coming again! Go check them out and you can thank me laters.

Went for my first time and ordered a lot to sample everything.Brisket - just being honest, but probably the worst brisket I ever had. It was either overcooked or day old. It was extremely tough and chewy, no fat, and I couldn't even cut it w a fork and knife, and i had to grab and rip with my teeth and even that was a challenge. By comparison, most bbq places serve you tender low slow cooked meat that doesn't even need a knife. If I'm being honest I don't even think it was brisket, I think it was overcooked well done tri tip but there wasn't tri tip on the menu so... to be fair. The pics of brisket on their page looks way better than what I had served today, mine looked NOTHING like the pics.Ribs - middle of the road. Not horrible, but not mind blowing either. Dressed w sauce it's ok.Chicken - good chicken. Not mad at it.Mac n cheese - average. You get 3 bottles of bbq sauce on the table. The spicy one was the star of the show.Usually I'll always go to a place twice to make sure it wasn't an off day, but their prices are considerably higher than other bbq places that are much better. (ie pound of brisket was over $30, you can get amazing brisket for ~mid-high $20's)I don't want the quality of the food on this review to make it sound like it was all bad. Great location, area, friendly staff. Like I said, it could've been an off day. Your mileage may vary.

On Sunday 26MAY2024 at or around 12:30-1pm, my girlfriend, my homie, his sister, and I decided to come here for lunch. We were not disappointed! The FOOD: the food was phenomenal, I'm a very big fan of beef brisket and was amazed at how good it was! It. Was a lil bit on the dry side, but nonetheless less, I enjoyed each and every bite! The innings were perfectly cooked to a crisp and the Mac n cheese was to die for, even though it got dry and stuck to the plate when it got cold. The AMBIANCE: The restaurant was in the heart of the ship plaza in front of the ferry landing. You can't really miss it lolThe SERVICE: We were greeted by the cashier with a smile and took our order efficiently and correctly. Another server brought us our food and the same cashier collected our plates when we were done.Pros/Cons:-the parking lot is pay to park, however if you can find parking on the streets I highly recommend that instead.-the bathroom is public and shared with the other businesses but it's about 10 steps give or take from the restaurant. Overall rating: 8.0 of 10.-IMO(In My Opinion, it would've EASILY gotten the rating of 10 of 10 but the brisket was on the dry side.)

Small covered outdoor BBQ shack with partial views of the bay. Counter service, with your food brought out to you by table tent number. The cashier was unenthusiastic but was knowledgeable about portion sizes. I ordered the brisket with onion rings and pepper poppers. Let's start with the good: the pepper poppers are some of the best I've had in San Diego. Full size jalapeños stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon. Unfortunately that's where the happiness ends. My onion rings were meh , the bread hard and stale all the way through, and the biggest disappointment was the main event. While the BBQ sauces were tasty, they couldn't save the brisket from is complete lack of moisture. My pieces were literally crumbling. My friends had the 1/4 chicken, Mac and cheese, and the chicken sandwich. They reported that chicken was dry, Mac and cheese unremarkable, and the chicken sandwich was excellent. Unfortunately I think one would be better off eating somewhere else.

Excellent bbq and even better service. I can't believe the huge beer selection in the fridges as you enter. There's truly something for everyone. I grabbed the big combo with ribs, Brisket and pulled pork with the mac and cheese and beans. I also got an order of the corn fritters. The fritters were amazing. Dense but so moist. I really want to try the sausage next time I'm in (and there will be a next time) I fed four of us on that and still took a whole box home. Don't skip on the butter for the fritters it's to die for!

This is a simple, straight-forward restaurant, see pic, with walk-up ordering. The staff was quick. They will deliver your food to your table. They have their own seating, but it is limited. However, there is shared oudoor seating all around the Landing area. We had their 3 Sliders. You can only choose one type of meat for the 3 sliders - as you can see in my pic I choose pulled pork. It came with the regular BBQ sauce, which was fairly basic and savory. The pulled pork had only a very small hint of smoke. Also in my pic you'll see they add a bit of Cole slaw. While it looks skimpy, it was the right amount: enough to add crunch, not to runny from the slaw dressing and didn't overpower the BBQ flavors. It was a good match. For the adventuresome, they have 3 styles of BBQ sauces, see pic, on the table. Personally, I like to mix and match my sauces. The Regular sauce was already on my pulled pork - basic and savory, a bit sweet. The Spicy was tangy, and the Texas had a bit of heat.

I ordered a beef brisket plate and it was the driest brisket I've ever had. I couldn't it eat without gulping down my drink. Choke hazard.

Was craving something savory so at first I was hesitant because bbq is usually on the sweeter side but I'm so glad I got to try the brisket tacos here! I ordered the the three brisket tacos from their starters menu not expecting anything special and oh man was I in for a shock. At first I was surprised how fast the staff worked here. I called for a take out order and the gentleman I spoke with said it'll be ready in 5 minutes and to be honest I didn't really think it would be done that fast. I arrived to the store 5 minutes later and there they were, a large brown bag with my name on it containing three over stuffed tacos with delicious brisket meat and a small 2oz container of tangy bbq sauce! As I took my first bite of the taco it was clear that the brisket was juicy and full of flavor! You can really tell that they cooked the meat to perfection. Overall, I would rate their brisket tacos on my list of top 5 brisket tacos in San Diego! 10/10 would come back but this time I'll get the brisket burrito!

The ribs were pathetic. No meat..basically one bite of meat on each rib. The 1/2 chicken....so dry. Very small chickens used and yes, even the leg and thigh were in need of a lot of sauce in order to swallow!
